Owned for just over a year. It simply is a Sony and there isn't much more to say. Outstanding in options, screen size, touch features, slide show, quality and basically in every way. Still a league ahead of all competition.

This is my first digital camera. I bought it becasue of the name, and was attracted by the big 3" LCD screen which I hoped would be easier for older users' eyes. I first used it in my brother's retirement party. All 300 pictures came out with red line across them. My brother and I are both
disappointed. I thought maybe something wrong with my photo software, or
my be set up the features wrong, because later some pictures turned out
to be OK. Now a year after my warranty expires, not only the lines are showing on all my pictures, but all came with red color backgroud.
My friend had problem with his Sony lense (different model). He felt
lucky because he bought 2 years' extended warrenty, so it can be fixed with no charge. To me, I don't believe a good name should have such a defective item.
I had a BAD experience, I will never buy Sony camera.
Also, I bought 2 Panasonic HD flat screen TV, (one put in my living room,
the other in bedroom), the picture is much better than Sony.
I my opion, Sony is not top of the line any more.

I love this camera. The sound can be shut off (one reviewer said you can't), I've done it and it's fairly easy to use. Also, if the battery dies and the shutter is open, it will close on its own (one reviewer said it won't, mine does).

The case is made of a vinyl not leather and is rather bulky overall for housing a very thin camera, most of bulk is in interior padding causing depth of case to be greater than I like. It would protect camera well but may not fit in your pants pocket well.

it perfectly fits for my SONY DSC-N2, and very pretty. the problem is it doesn't have anything with it to be taken by hand, i mean i have to grasp it all the time even when i take photos. plus, it is said it is made of leather, but i don't think so. possibly something PVC or PU.

I like this case because it is so small, it is exactly the size of the camera (I have the sony t200). You really have to make the choice of whether you want a bulky case that has a pocket for an extra battery pack or flash drive, or that has a clip....if that is what you are looking for this is not it. This is merely to protect your camera from damage with simple velcro access.

The Cameta 2800 Flash has two automatic power settings, a correct exposure verification indicator, a bounce head adjustable up to 90-degrees for soft lighting effects, and energy-saving thyristor circuitry for faster recycling and longer battery life. While most camera's built-in flash units are only effective from a distance of 8 to 12 feet, the Cameta 2800 Flash gives you the freedom to be more than four times farther away. With this much additional flash power, it's almost like having a bolt of lightning at your command. ♦ The Sunpak Digital Slave Grip has a comfortable contoured hand-grip with quick-release camera platform and enables the use of the Cameta 2800 Flash as a wireless remote "slave" to complement your camera's built-in flash. The Digital Slave Grip can even be used off-camera with the 2800 Flash as a remote slave for more professional and creative lighting effects. ♦ The built-in flashes of most digital cameras emit a "pre-flash" and/or a "red-eye" pulse that fires before the shutter opens, followed by an additional flash pulse which actually lights your picture. Very easy to install but need practice to control too much light (bounce etc.) This is best way in order to get rid of ugly side shadows of internal flash. Plastic used in flash is little bit cheap, but working is good. Flash ready time is also very short.

We purchased this product while on vacation in Hawaii. We participated in some form of water activity (beach, pool, snorkeling, surfing) almost every day, and we have great pictures with the security of keeping our digital camera dry. The snorkeling pictures were great too. Sometimes it was difficult to see the screen in bright light, and it was challenging to chase fish when the zoom was maximized, but the pictures-- did I already mention that? Well worth the investment. We're thrilled that we have it!
