It only takes 15 min to unpack and fully assemble. It has a low profile on the floor to save space. Its perfect for CDs, but not tall enough to use all the shelfs for DVDs. Overall it was a good buy.

They are priced a little bit higher than they should be since they are so small. They ended up costing me about $60 each with shipping. I went to a local store and found full-sized black wire storage racks for $30 a few days after I bought these. You can't fit much on these except for media and very small objects. Also, the shelves that came with mine are slightly bent, and no matter how much I try to bend them back to being straight, they still look a bit crooked and off.

i bought it because it said 8 shelves. i wanted to use it specifically for dvds. i basically got 6 stand-up dvd shelves and one lay down dvd shelf. the other shelf is laying in my closet somewhere. i have two four shelf racks and those were so amazing i wanted a bigger one. i just wish all the 8 shelves were useable and would have loved to see a review that told me so before i spent $80 with shipping. (the two 4-shelf racks were $20 each at walmart)

Cons: Flimsy. I am amazed at how poorly the legs are attached to this rack. The slightest pressure will cause the leg stands to pop off and they have no threads to secure them back on.

Nice, inexpensive storage rack. Easy to assemble and seems sturdy. I think the feet are ugly - big and round. Also, I'm not fond of the white straps to anchor to the wall. I'll probably find something different if I decide to anchor the unit to the wall.

My staff ordered 3 of these from our local office supply vendor, and ALL 3 broke in less than a month. The spring tension clips break the flimsy plastic, and in the end they are just cheap pieces of junk. Our office supply vendor was nice enough to refund our money. I've never been so disappointed in a product that I had to write a bad review, but this product should be avoided at all costs.

Great little gadget, and simple idea. Works much better than elaborate arms, with stick on tape, etc. A firm gripping clamp attached by a flexible arm to another firm clamp... it fastens just about any way you want and holds copy wherever you want it, without permanent attachments to your notebook. Reasonable price, well made... a home run.

The Flex Clip copyholder was definitely worth the money. It attaches easily and firmly to just about any computer. I have not tried it on laptops however. It is excellent for anyone that looks off papers when using the computer and makes a great gift for anyone who works with a computer on a regular basis. It is very sturdy and lightweight. I have not had any problems with it.

I love how this takes up NO space on a desk. The first one I had was perfect because the monitor was bigger. It's harder to get it to adhere well to a very narrow monitor (i.e. flat screen). For some reason, the first one just broke to pieces when I pressed the clip to attach it to the new monitor, so I ordered a new one. I'd had the first one for several years.

I really like the sliding dividers! They do a great job keeping my dvd's from falling over and I also use them to seperate my different movie categories. Only negatives are that it took me approx. one hour to assemble and it stands away from the back wall by about 3 inches.

I was scepticle at first that something looking that flimsy could really hold the weight of 622 cds. The assembly was easy though time consuming. I would recommend that you use those plastic washers, otherwise if you decide to move the rods you get nasty marks on the wood. I would recommend this unit to anyone wanting all of their cds in one spot. Very stable even on carpet.

I've am so impressed with this dvd organizer. I ordered 2 of them thinking that just in case one day they won't be available. I can't believe it but I am using it for all kinds of things. All my movies go in one, the other has my picture dvds along with my computer installation dvd, all my music mp3 on dvd. Now I am going to get my kids organized with their playstation games. How cool is that? A very nifty feature is that you can customize your title sheet by accessing their webpage. I love that feature. If you decide to order it, rest assured it is well worth the price. 38.00.

Get one. My friend had an older 80 disc version, which I thought was pretty cool. This thing, is a beast. And I mean that in the best possible way. So intuitive, easy to use, sleek and sexy. It does what it's supposed to better than anything else I've seen. It looks damn good doing it. The little insert on the top to catalog things just takes the cake. And you can go online and catalog all of your discs. Contents, artist, album, year, what movie, etc. I'd pay $100 for this thing. Oh, and the shipping was incredibly fast, and it came in one piece :]
An Excellent Storage System for Discs.......2007-07-27
I have the Discgear Selector 100 FX which was given to me for Christmas. This is an ideal storage solution for discs. I also have a 5-shelf rack that I use for DVD's and it is a pain to find the disc I want. Not so for the Discgear Selector. Not only is it a snap to find the disc I want, its nice to have the selector pull the disc out of the machine so that I can just grab it .Storage density per given volume of space is a big plus with the Selector. There is no other storage medium, that I have found that comes close to storing 100 discs in such a small area.I intend to buy 5 or 6 more of these units as it will take that many to accomodate my movie collection. My only issue with the Selector is the price, but you get what you pay for. I can most easily recommend this by telling you that it is well worth having several of them.
Great Product - Lousy Vendor Shipping.......2007-04-12
As an Engineer, I have a lot of vendor data, cut sheets, or promotional data on CD/DVD that I don't want to throw away but were getting too numerous to just leave in the corner of my desk. This product works geat, filing 100 disks in very little space, alowing me to chuck over 50 CD cases and other assorted mailers, carriers, etc.
The online Index Pages are a anemic - basically, you can type info in, but can't do anything but print out the list in the exact same format you put it in. No sorting by group (manufacturer, in my case) and pointing out where to look in your 100 now impossible to read CD Stack. Turns your computer, internet access, online tool, and printer into a Typewriter!!!Note to Discgear: Fix this so I can convince myself to buy another one for home. NOTE: Music lovers have access to CDDB data, which speeds the typing.
Amazon sent this order to Target - ah, there's another story. I ordered this on Sunday night, and Target reported that they'd shipped it on Wednesday evening - except it never left Target's facility until Friday 6 PM. Took nine days to get from order to delivery (Minnesota to Idaho)! Too Slow!

I have 11 of these and I am buying 3 more today. They are great. they take up little space and are very convenient. As for the sleeves ripping, I have never had a problem, as long as you don't force the disc into the sleeve you should be fine. I highly recommend this item as a easy and space-saving way to hold CD's or DVD's.
Don't Buy!.......2007-09-24
I have been a fan of orginizing my media with discgear in the past, but this was the worst, and unfortunatly, they've lost a valuable customer because they were unwilling to resolve the issue. I made the unfortunate mistake of purchasing 4 of these storage units. Turns out the slots that hold the discs are cheapely made and tear apart with normal use. I had more than one sleeve rip at the seam. I contacted discgear about it, but they won't do anything about it. Beware.
