Twice the Cooling Power, Half the Consumption
In contrast to most other laptop coolers that use two fans to suck warm air from the laptop's bottom, the Belkin's Laptop Cooling Stand relies on the natural flow of heat and air circulation to do the hard work and needs only one fan to do the trick. Instead of drawing the laptop heat down to push it out, the stand takes full advantage of natural air flow and heat's natural tendency to rise by pushing the hot air upward through the channel and away from your laptop.

This cooler is a perfect fit for my 14.1" Dell Inspiron notebook. The fan in the cooler is not in the optimum spot of where my notebook gets warmest, but with a little manipulation, the fan is able to keep the computer cool. The stand also works well to keep your lap cool and provides a good platform.

I have had the Belkin laptop cooling pad for a few weeks and I love it. I use it with my Macbook and it makes a very big difference. Before purchasing this I had trouble working with the Macbook on my lap because it just got too hot. The Belkin cooling stand has a nice curved design that creates a small pocket under the computer where the air flows nicely. The cord is nice and short too, so it doesn't get in the way. I does cost a few dollars more than the Targus but I tried that one first and was disappointed. It simply stopped working after a few weeks even though I never dropped it or anything. I have already dropped the Belkin twice and it still works great. The Belkin is a great deal.

Generally, I really like the stand but it's a tiny bit unstable at times and it works better (for me) when I use is backwards... but you have to stare at the USB cord that way. I use a 12" MacBook so my problems might just be because my laptop is on the smaller size. Functionally, it fixed the problem of my computer overheating so i'm really happy about that. I did a decent about of research on these types of products and this sounds like the best one... I'd buy it again.
Quiet fan.......2007-11-25
This fan is quiet and keeps my laptop cool. I am using it on a laptop that has Vista and it gets much warmer than another laptop that has XP. This fan is very portable and easy to use, I even use it with my cushtop while I'm sitting on the couch. I recommend it as it really works even with only one fan.
Design is good but Fan chipped off, noisy.......2007-11-25
Perhaps I got a defective product? Initially I was happy with it. Then the outer plastic covering kept touching the fan - eventually a part of the fan chipped off. It still worked though. One downside with the design is that the fan is at the bottom which is ineffective in drawing air when you are working on your lap. I also thought it was noisy. I bought it because I thought it was well designed - light, comfortable curvature - which does make a difference but unfortunately the product was defective I guess. If I don't find another cooler that draws air in from the sides, I might give this a try again.

I purchased the Archos 605 stand case but no where on the Amazon web page did it say that there were different cases for different size of hard drives. The item I ended up ordering was only for the flash drive/30GB version which my 160 GB hard drive Archos would not fit. Be sure you order the correct case for the correct Archos 605 based on size of the hard drive. The description on Amazon does not make this clear.
Major design flaws.......2007-12-06
This is a new product. I just received mine last week. I ordered in NOvember. This unit has what I believe as an Engineer numerous design flaws. I would wait a year before I buy another. Tech support could not resove any issues. If you had bought plug-ins for this, you are screwed, Archos will not refund my money. I need to file suit against them.

This case offers protection at best. It doesn't stand up well in the case like in the picture.
I'm not impressed at all with this purchase. I'm glad to have some kind of protection for my Archos, I love it dearly, but I"d like something better than this. I'm surprozed the manufacturer made this. It's worthless.
1. It covers the speaker.
2. It covers the docking interface.
3. Headphones don't work well due to the thinkness (your mileage may vary here though)
4. It's not a good fit for the device. I'm using a 30GB Archos 605 (for reference)
5. IT DOESN'T STAND UP IN IT LIKE ADVERTISED. In fact, it tends to fall over, even when you snap it in place.

It's high quality and fits the 30 GB like a glove, but there is one critical problem -- there is not opening by the data/power port, so you have to take the unit out of the case in order to charge it or connect to a computer. Unfortunately, for me that's a dealbreaker.

These mounts work great. My only complaint with them is that since they are plastic, if you overtighten one of the bolts you'll ruin the mount. They come with plenty of mounting options depending on the speakers you are installing. I bought these mounts for an onkyo system and the speakers are roughly 6" by 10" and these mounts work great. They include all the hardware you would need to secure them to the speaker and the wall itself.
These mounts helped finish off my new home theatre room with the look of a professional instalation.

These mounts are the best buy for your money.....I have a 7.1 system and used these for my surround speakers.......If you speakers weigh more than 7lbs I would suggest using the B-Tech BT1 mount which is great for heavier speakers which is what I used for my front left/right speakers and I used the B-Tech BT33 for my center.....

This is a great product. When my wife uses it, her laptop tends to get a little hot, but I have had no problems with my laptop. We have not tried the power supply storage area, so we don't know how well that works, but in general, we love this product. The only thing to watch out for is having a laptop bigger than 15", because the laptop will take up the whole Notebook stand, leaving no room for a mouse. All in all, a great product and definitely worth the price.

I really tried to use this for a day or two but my laptop (macbook pro) kept sliding off and pushing into my stomach. Since I type all day my wrists couldn't take the discomfort of being too close to my body. Maybe not so for all laptops but the picture you see with it sitting on a flat surface would mean a macbook pro sliding off completely.

Because of a bad back, I often have to use my laptop while sitting in bed. The Belkin Cushtop makes that a much more pleasant experience than it used to be. The Cushtop holds the computer steady so that it doesn't slide off and it keeps the heat from burning my legs. It has a firm, solid feel and is not really "cushy," which is a good thing. Highly recommended!

I have used this stand for several months to prop my iBook G4 (14.1" screen). I have been very pleased with the product. It is not too heavy and fits nicely into my laptop backpack. In conjunction with my iBook it makes typing more comfortable. It only has to levels for height adjustment, but this has not been a problem for me.
Less Than Expected.......2007-12-04
I wanted something basic, but this is more basic than I expected. There is a U-shaped metal bar that supports the stand, lifting the top piece up from the bottom. Although there are two slots for it to go in (only), the slots are just an inch or so apart, meaning they are about the same height. The angle of the laptop goes from shallow to slightly shallower.
The description said that it's made for up to 17" laptops. Well, my 17" MacBook Pro is mighty wobbly, and I have to slide the computer down toward me so that the front is sitting on the table top, thereby preventing it from rocking even with normal typing. As a result, I also don't get any height adjustment to the front of the machine, and have about six or seven inches of stand sticking out behind my computer. Now that I look at the product photo again, their computer is slid down on the stand, as well.
The steeper angle is not terrible, but I'd like it steeper, and I've half a mind to chop off the useless back third of the stand with my jigsaw so that it won't take up so much space in my drawer. If I'd bought this locally I'd return it and get something more flexible and more compact.

The moment I opened the stand, the plastic hinge at the back broke off. This is made poorly and is very flimsy. However, it is light weight, portable, and functional. For the price, it wasn't worth the hastle of returning it. I am using it broken and it still functions.

This item is essentially worthless! The laptop wobbles endlessly unless it is so far forward off the front of the stand that it almost hangs off the front of the desk - 2/3's of the stand just takes up space behind. If you put the laptop solidly on the stand, the front of the laptop is elevated close to an inch above the desk surface. If you accomodate by raising your chair so that you aren't reaching up to type, then your feet will dangle off the floor. Avoid this item.

The Acrhos 605 is so f-ing amazing, and this case is a joke. The were drunk when they made this case. Google a company called Noreve, they make a high quality leather case. It's like $50, but it is very well made and well designed and your little 605 deserves it.
30 GB and Below Only.......2007-12-11
There is a different case for 80 and 160 GB units, they don't fit in this one as you can tell by the idiots who bought this one for the bigger cap units and gave this one a bad review. The 80 and 160GB units are thicker and have a shorter battery life. I have one of thicker cases and my Archos 80 GB fits perfectly. The Amazon description is wrong on compatibility. It fails as a stand, and if you want to charge while it's in the case, you better get some scissors. I like it for protection and it's a huge improvement over the one that is shipped with the unit.

Poorly designed, reduces Archos 605 portability........2007-12-10
I concur with prior reviews asserting the poor fit of the stand case with the player. It takes quite awhile for me to tuck the player under that annoying top lip, and it does fall out of the case way too easily when unbuttoned. However, my biggest problem with this case is the the type and quality of the leather. Unlike the soft, thin leather of the AV500 case which only slightly increased it's size, the 605 case is thick and stiff. It adds loads of protection (when it stays in), but adds considerable heft, bulk and weight, greatly reducing portability convenience. I carry my player everywhere so I actually find I prefer the cheap nylon case that comes with the player.

I bought this case to go along with Archos 605 160GB. The case looks ok, but thats the only positive remark. Player does not fit well inside, as the left corner of the case is too high and pushes the raised part of the player below power button out. I tried to push player in. It doesn't stay because the side ridge is elastic and pushes the player out. Then there is a really horrible design flaw: when case flap is closed, it presses against the play/stop button and stops the playback of music. And there is no place to put stylus. Why would a player that comes with a stylus, not have a place to put it in? and the same applies to the case.
I'm sending it back to amazon for refund and buying a Noreve case.

Cheap quality leather. Its those generic barely passable grade leather. Stitching is shoddy.
Worse part is that it is not compatible with the 30gig model even though the description says it does. The hole on the side cannot possibly line up with the archos' headphone outlet. Plus for the 30 gig model its an akward looking fit. Kind of like making a small child wear xxl clothing. The stand doesn't work very well. I prefer the cheap case that came with the 605.

Well, since this is genuine Edirol accessory, it just has to work as I expected. I managed to find the cheapest online but no matter how great the deal is, it is still overpriced which is typical Roland. Love them products but hate them prices.

Well, it functions just fine but I could have built one myself with the left-over scraps of leather or plastic and a mini tripod. The tripod the comes with the case is one of those $2.00 things good camera stores give away with purchases (I have several that are actually heavier). The whole thing with the cheap leather and little tripod is not worth more than $20. The idea is useful, though just over priced.

I bought the cover and stand with the Edirol, it fits well and is easy to put on, look very well made. You do need to take it off to plug in to remove files, but all of the other controls are open and withing reach. The stand works fine, just follow the picture to get it in the right way, otherwise the unit will fall over. Nice little addition for the recorder

I LOVE my cushtop! It allows me to conveniently use or set aside my laptop when i'm on the couch watching TV or in bed just lounging around. The laptop keeps cool, as does my lap. My only regret is that they don't come in very many colors, which I feel is this product's greatest drawback. It would be cool if the inner cavity was a little bigger, or if the inner cavity was made of flexible material. As it is now, it's really hard to store anything in there other than papers, flash drives, and other little, thin items. Mice don't fit unless you cram and jam them.

My only "consern" was that it looked to be leather like material it is not it is made of a nice thick fabric but I am concerned with cleaning- where as leather could have been wiped I am not sure how easy it will be to handwash the cloth as the directions say.

This is WELL worth the money. I love it and it fits my 14" IBM Thinkpad T30 like a champ. Pretty slick looking, too. I wouldn't buy it for anything over a 14" laptop, though, at least until Logitech comes out with one that fits a 15.4" and a 17" laptop, then I would be all over it like white on rice.

The stand is fantastic for my Dell Inspiron 17 inch laptop. Its stylish, slick, and does exactly what its suppose to do. So why the so/so review? I can't stand companies who charge exhorbant amounts of money for this type of stuff! I work in the plastics industry and I know how much these things cost so charging you $30 is way too much. The equation is simple Value = quality/price. The price for this is WAY too much. They know they can get away with it so they charge you $30 when something like this should cost no more then $15.
Its good, it does the job, but value wise it fails due to its very high price.

I have a 13-inch black macbook and it fits it perfectly. The angle allows me to tilt the screen as far back as it goes and I can avoid hunching. I love it, and the black rubber feet matches the black macbook color perfectly. It is completely unobtrusive on your desk, looks classy and functions perfectly. If you're in a dorm room, you can even set it up on your desk and watch movies from your bed.

I have tried 4 different solutions for laptop riser stands, and this one ends up being the one we use/like the most.
We have the alto keyboard stand and that was unusable straight out of the box, as the laptop would keep sliding off of it.
