A bit too small.......2007-11-03
This video camera bag is a bit too small to hold all of the necessary equipment for today's video camera. The camera fits fine but there is no room for the battery charger and the camera manual (which you need to have on hand...unless you memorized yours!). There is also limited space for extra minitapes...I suggest you got for the bigger bag if you want to take all of your supplies with you when you travel!

Bag is the perfect size for a compact video camera. I own the Panasonic SDR-H200 and it fits in the main compartment of the bag along with the charger, charging cord, instruction book, and much more. A great bag!

This is a good storage bag but not good for getting quick access to the camara. The Velocity 7 back is much better if you want something that allow you to get access to your camara quickly and also able to carry most of your camara equipment with you.
I returned this bag and purchased the Velocity 7 bag. Loved the Velocity 7 bag.
convenient but small........2007-12-07
It's a hip, compact bag, but the fitting is a bit too snug. My camera hardly fits in the slot for it, and kind of sticks out a bit, but still fits fine once closed. I use mine to carry around my Rebel xti, two lenses and a few accessories, and so far all of my gear has been fine.
If you want a bag thats easy to carry, and don't need a whole lot of space for all of your gear and lenses. This is for you.

Not much to say other then this bag is perfect for what i wanted and it's at a great price! It holds my D80 with a lens attached, 2 other lenses and their is room for a third, plus the little things like memory cards, batteries, filters, etc. Up top has a compartment for bigger things like coats, food, whatever. It even has the option of adding other things to it (sold separately)
This a handy little backpack!.......2007-11-30
I bought this backpack for travel/vacation purposes. It worked out great; the bag is not too small, and not too big. I was suprised how many lens and accessories I could jam in here. I put my Rebel XT w/ Tamron 28-75mm lens. I also put 3 additional lens in the bag: Canon 28-135 IS, 17-55mm, and a 50mm. Oh, and a 430 flash! That was all fitted in the bottom section only. You still have plenty of room up top, for accessories, CF card, lens cleaning kit, etc. Also, it came in handy as a shopping bag! Of course, I didn't carry all lenses with me at all times, just the ones I was gonna use that day. The bag is very comfortable to wear, due to the fact that the shoulder pads were made of gel. All in all, it was a very balance backback, that was versatile, and looks great too. The only negative thing I have to say about this backpack, is that, if you want to get to your camera in an instant, forget it. You have to take of the bag, set it down somewhere, then unclip and unzipper it before you can get you camera out. Then again, your camera is very safe in here, and if you want fast access, get a sling backpack, or wear the camera around you neck!

Excellent product, well made, looks good and so far, very durable...also I am now able to transport extra memory as well as additional flat batteries.I purchased two of them, one for everyday and a back-up for vacation.
Okay case, but not worth the money.......2007-10-03
Okay case for my extra cards, although, I was not too excited about how easily the mesh ripped apart when I tried to get one card out. Now I can only carry 3 cards instead of the 4. When I am taking sports photos, I can't be messing with a case that my card can fall out of as I unzip it to get to another card.
My back pocket seems to work just as well as long as the cards are in their own little protective cases. I'll just put this case on the strap of my camera case and use it as a change purse and go back to using my pocket.
Outside construction is nice, but the way the mesh was sown in isn't that great. I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase this particular product again, and I own quite a bit of Targus items. This one is a disappointment.

I was surprised when I got this, the case was remarkably well constructed and has held up perfectly for the past few months of use. In the field of photography, taking an extra 30 seconds to switch out your card could cost you ten or twenty awesome pictures. It's very convenient to have all four of my CF cards clipped right to my belt for quick changing when my card is full.

Great Lightweight Backpack w/ Plenty of Space.......2006-06-17
I've read a few bad reviews stating that this bag is too small, I disagree and I had to write a review myself. I was looking for a small, light backpack that fits my equipment snug and isn't loose and bulky. With a bigger bag, you're equipment shakes all around the back when you're walking. I don't need a student size backpack because I'm not going back to school and I'm not going to put textbooks in it!! This backpack has everything that I need.
Capacity:
I am able to fit my Nikon D50 w/ 28-200mm lens and neoprene strap attached, 18-55mm lens, and 50mm 1.8 lens in the main compartment. There is STILL room left for 2 medium size lenses or 1 lens and a flash. There is a zipper pocket in front of the bag for accesories. I am able to fit all of my accesories. There is also a large compartment above the camera bag for non camera stuff (Small shirt, sunglasses, water bottle) There are 2 more mesh pockets that stick out of the side of the bag and are not covered.
Comfort:
The backback is comfortable on one shoulder or two.Ot has thick non slip padding on the shoulder straps. It also has a horizontal strap to connect the 2 straps for a more secure fit. I don't use it.
Quick and Easy Access:
If you have it on one shoulder you can swing it around and get quick access to the camera compartment for that quick shot. Much like a sling style bag. I originally wanted a sling backpack like the Tamrac Velocity 7 or Lowepro Sling Shot 200, but the Adventure 6 is more comfortable like a regular backpack.
Now keep in mind that the Nikon D50 is one of the smaller DSLR's, and I don't have any 400mm or 500mm telephoto lenses.
Bottom line:
If you have a D50, D70, Rebel or anything camera of that size + 3 lenses and accesories and are looking for a lightweight backpack for about $50, then this is an excellent backpack. If you want you want a REGULAR "Student" size backpack, you might want to look at the Adventure 7 for $8 more. If you have a large size DSLR then buy the 7 series. If you want to carry around your arsenal of 10 lenses then buy one of those pro backpacks. You won't have quick access to the camera like this bag, though. I'm happy with the Tamrac Adventure 6 for now.
Fit a 20D with Lens Attached?.......2006-03-28
Tamrac claimed on their sight that the Adventure 6 (5546) can fit a 20D with lens attached. I reviewed this bag at a local camera shop and it looks like a kid's bag! 20D with a lens attached, Tamrac should specify maybe a 50mm. I agree with Michael's review about the size and unless you are looking for a very small bag, you'll be disappointed. The size of the Adventure 7 (5547) seems ok, it's about the size of a standard student backpack. These backpacks have compartments for memory cards and batteries and other small items that I really like. Even though the Adventure 7 satisfies my storage needs, I won't buy it because of the tripod placement. You have to buy separate accesories to attach the tripod and the attachment is at the bottom. This bottom attachment is really inconvenient because you'll always should remove the tripod before you set the bag down.
For a better alternative, I suggest the Lowepro Rover AW II.

A Solution That Works.......2006-11-11
I have been trying to find a way to easily carry a lot of camera equipment for quite some time. I have tried backpacks, shoulder bags, duffel bags, but none of them really worked all that well. Then I saw the Lowepro Street and Field system with completely customizable pouches, vests, belts, and accessories. It works great, you only get the pouches you need so there is no waisted space and you can organize them however you want according to how often they are used (put frequently used items in easier to access places.)
The variety alone of this system is worth the investment, but the quality and ease of use is also very high which is a big plus. You can get a case for any lens, camera body, or accessory you have. I even have cases for my cell phone and water bottle. One word of caution, be sure to measure your lens with the lens hood on backwards if you use them to make sure that the entire thing will fit into the pouch, because sometimes the lens will fit, but then the lens with the lens hood will not. I often carry 5-6 lenses, extension tubes, teleconverters, extra memory cards and batteries, and a bunch of cleaning supplies and other gadgets, which weights a ton. But when they are evenly distributed on this vest/belt Lowepro system it is actually very manageable.
The only down side is that everyone will be staring at you because you have thousands of dollars of camera equipment strapped to your body. But if you can overlook that, this is the way to go. I have used this system at many zoos without ever having problems, in fact just unzipping a single lens and switching seems safer to me than opening an entire bag of equipment every time you want to switch lenses. Many of the cases also come with a built in rain/snow cover so if the weather changes all of your equipment is not destroyed. You can also put just a few pouches on a normal belt when you are just going to take photos in the back yard or don't need to take all of your equipment, which is nice. I really can't say enough about how much easier this makes traveling with a lot of equipment, if you have been hopelessly searching for a better solution, consider this, you won't regret it.

I bought this camera case for my Canon SD800IS and it fits perfectly! The velcro closure is very convenient and the small pouch in the front is perfect for an extra battery and SD card. My bag arrived with the older logo, but it is essentially the same product. Also, a previous reviewer said that the belt loop had a velcro attachment. My case came with a belt loop that had a clip-on button type of attachment, which makes it easier to manage and more secure than velcro, in my opinion. At $7.95 for the grey bag, this is a value that you should not pass up!

I bought this Tamrac 5204 T4 Digital Camera Bag for my Canon SD750 and I'm totally happy with it. It's not nearly as bulky as I thought it would be, even though it's got decent padding to protect the camera. It fits the SD750 perfectly, and the small pocket in the front is perfect for an extra battery. One thing I really like that you can't see in the picture is the velcro belt strap on the back - unlike other cases that just have a slot that forces you to slide your belt through it, the strap on the back of this has a velcro release for easy attaching to a belt that you're already wearing (or a beltlopp, or whatever else you want to strap it to). At $8 this was an exceptional value.
