My husband and I received a ton of gift subscriptions to magazines this year, and the pile on the bathroom counter was becoming a real monster. We purchased this rack and mounted it across from our toilet. At first we were dubious because it looks pretty modestly sized and our subscriptions include such space-eaters as Rolling Stone and InStyle, but both of these magazines fit comfortably, although the Rolling Stone has to be slightly bent. It holds about 8 magazines of various sizes, and if you packed it, it would hold even more.
The mounting for this is very easy, and the wall sinks that they provide for drywall are reasonable quality and did not bend or break when hammered into the wall. It is very secure and is not pulling out of the wall or sagging at all after several weeks.
I am completely satisfied with this product and would highly recommend it!

Whitewood is a very nice version of pine, free of knots and other defects. You're going to want one of these in every toilet room, especially the guest bathroom. MR-16 has a unique art-deco inspired contemporary look with beveled edges. Very sleek and modern in design, but doesn't require you to cut any holes or figure out where studs are located. This is perfect for those of you who want a magazine rack, but don't have the ability to put it in your wall. You'll find many magazine racks, but you can't find anything like these in a store or online except at our website. It can easily accommodate 6-10 NORMAL size magazines such as Newsweek or Time. Dimensions are 12 1/4 wide x 16" high. There is a small piece of wood at the bottom as well as the hold-in bar to keep your magazines in place. Not quite the quality I expected........2007-01-12
The Magazine Rack functions adequately. It holds the magazines and some books. However, it does not have a back. In other words the contents rest on the bare wall behind it. At the very least, it should have had a finished plywood back. Speaking of finishes, if it had a finish,it was barely detectable. In other words, it looked unfinished. That was no problem. I went to the hardware store and bought a small can of polyurethane finish and applied two coats. Now it looks fine. It does apply to the wall with 2 screws because it is so light. If you want to buy this type of wall rack, I would suggest that you look for one which has a better finish and has a back on it.
