Great product.......2007-12-03
It is a really good product, and I bought it because i cannot use the numbers in my laptop, it takes to too much time to do the type of work I do (putting numbers in excel). It is practical, small and do not need to install or anyting for it to work, just plug in your keyboard and your computer and that's it. I recommend it.
USB to PS/2 Adapter.......2007-12-01
Works great, much cheaper then a new keyboard. Has been two weeks with no problems.
It works!.......2007-11-29
I had no trouble with the product. I plugged it to my laptop USB port and hooked the PS2 keyboard to it. It works as it says without needing any software. I am happy with the purchase price with the function it provided.
universal remote.......2007-11-27
this remote was very easy to work with, Also worked with about everything eles i own,.
Does not work.......2007-11-21
I have a Kinesis ps/2 contoured keyboard, which is admittedly a little unusual, but another adapter I have works fine. This one does not work at all. At least it's cheap enough that trying didn't cost much.

Customer Reviews:
It didn't work for me, either.......2007-10-11
I should have paid more attention to the reviews as this didn't work for me, either. I got the same message, doesn't recognize usb. I don't know if there could be a driver for this. I don't think the product is necessarily defective, it just doesn't work with Windows XP.
Frustration.......2007-06-16
These PS2-USB "adapters" are the worst thing to ever come from mankind. Why? All they do is switch over wires to a different plug. They do not "magically" make ps2 products usb compatible or the other way around. Almost never in the product description is this told. Many people have bought these to be very disappointed that they don't work. On the other hand, if you know you have a compatible keyboard, they work well. Make sure your keyboard states it's compatible with usb-ps2 adapters before buying an adapter! The work of actually converting formats is done by the keyboard, not the "adapter".
Don't buy. Waste of money........2007-04-02
This product doesn't work. The manufacturer doesn't say that explicitly that it won't work with normal keyboards. Total loss of money.
REPLACEMENT adapter.......2006-09-25
The description here does not tell the whole story. The manufacturer's website states:
"This product is designed as a replacement adapter for keyboards that originally shipped with a PS/2 to USB converter. If your product did not ship with a converter, we suggest trying a USBPS2PC instead."
I believe this is why the other reviewers are complaining that the product doesn't work. I'm going to buy the "USBPS2PC", which I also found on Amazon (product number B00028OP2Y).
defective product.......2006-09-07
This item does not work. I bought it with 'lupoc' and after informing them that it did not work they were not very helpful in resolving this issue and their service was bad to put it mildly. Don't waste your time with this, it is a defective product.

Not pleased.......2007-11-11
This item cost a lot more than others I've tried, and does not work as well. It will not work with my KVM switch, though it works okay with a directly conneted keyboard and mouse. It certainly did not justify the price premium over the $6.00 BYTECC BT-2000 models I've purchased elsewhere. I have used several of the Bytecc models on our network and they performed flawlessly with KVM, direct connect keyboard and mouse, and with bar code scanners.
No More Mush Board.......2007-11-04
Works with my old IBM PS2 mechanical tactile click keyboard and my new Dell (We stamp our name on everything) Ispiron. The Ispiron came with a cheesy USB keyboard and no way to connect a PS2 device. It's good to have a real keyboard back and toss out that cheap mush board that came with the computer. Anyone know where I can get a real mechanical click keyboard with a USB interface?
Works for Dell Vostro.......2007-10-13
I bought this to connect a PS2 mouse and kbd to a new Dell Vostro 1000 Laptop, and was a little worried since there are many reports of USB/PS2 adapters that don't work on Dell. I've had zero problems with this - just plugged it in, connected the devices, and they work!
Must Have.......2007-09-13
This ps/2 to USB converter solved my problems when I hooked it up to my laptop. I haven't tested it with a KVM switch yet, but this is a must have when you don't want to use the trackpad or keyboard built into your laptop.
Works great, even through a KVM.......2007-05-15
I have been using one of this at my workplace for several months now. I use it to connect a USB only pc through a Linksys KVM switch. It has worked without a hitch. Just this past week, we bought another usb-ps/2 adapter, but the purchasing agent bought the model 27225 from Cables to go and that one does not work through a KVM. So we are going to buy another Trendnet adapter instead.

works perfectly.......2007-12-26
I used this to connect my ps/2 keyboard and mouse to a Mac mini. It worked straight out of the box. In my experience, other adapters do not work with the Mac.
It just works.......2007-12-13
I use this to connect an old PS/2-style keyboard and mouse to a Mac mini. It's worked great since the moment I plugged it in.
very satisfied.......2007-05-13
Despite being told that this type of adapter did not work so well by an Apple store employee, I decided to give it a try anyway as I really like my old Gateway keyboard and greatly dislike Apple's keyboard. Glad to say it works very well and have no complaints. Periodically it will freeze for less than half a second and then continue to work as normal. Also the Home/End buttons do not go to the line home/end but instead the current page home/end. This may be normal behavior for Apple keyboards but for a Windows user it is annoying.

Didn't work for me.......2007-11-13
This would not work a wireless keyboard don't know if it was not compatible with computer or keyboard but it did not work.
JUNK-DOES NOT WORK-NOT WORTH RETURNING.......2007-10-15
I threw it out. Not worth your time. Made in China. Does not operate consistency what so ever. For 4 dollars and 5 dollars to ship, it's not worth shipping back. Try Belkin. Very over priced (20 to 25 dollars), but Belkin works consistently. This seller's product is not even worth what you pay for; unless, you like buying trash to place in your garbage can.
Review: Cables to Go USB To Dual PS2 Adapter 1-usba To 2-din6f (1 FT).......2007-07-23
My use for the product is with a USB-only KVM switch and my legacy ergonomic keyboard and mouse which are PS/2. This is a simple product that simply works.
USB to Dual PS2, not bad at all!.......2007-07-13
Bought this for a relative's notebook, used it when I reloaded they're software, worked like a charm. The only con I could say is when I rebooted it didnt pick it up sometimes, but I just unplugged and reinserted it, no biggie. It's a handy item to have and the shipping was very quick.
So far so good..........2007-06-14
The Keyboard...
I have it hooked up to my Compaq Laptop and my Logitech Access Keyboard right now and it seems to be working reasonable well. None of the dedicated accessory keys work such as volume etc. But as I rarely use these keys it is not a great loss. My motivation for purchasing this device was that it is a cheap and fast band aid solution, to my dislike of laptop keyboards. Granted I have every intention of buying a dedicated full size USB keyboard in the very near future. But for the moment this adaptor suits my purposes.
The mouse...
My Laptop mouse is Logitech notebook mouse which is USB wireless...
However as I heard so many negatives about the mouse adaptor as an experiment I tried the mouse adaptor with an older model (roller ball NOT Laser) Compaq mouse. And it seems to work fine on that device as well.
With no disrespect intended towards buyers and users of Dell Computers or the capabilities of Dell Computers. I have heard in the past that they can be a little temperamental with "foreign" devices. So I would advise those users to purchase these sort of adaptors with caution.

Customer Reviews:
they didn't work with my IBM M-type keyboard and a mac.......2007-07-19
the (much more expensive) adaptors sold by clickykeyboards ended up working with my M-type keyboard. (I have a M13- I got it from e-bay - NOS. It is awesome)
from what I understand, the old M-types are touchier about this sort of thing than most keyboards, so these things might work for other keyboards.
Didn't work with my mouse or keyboard.......2007-05-21
Be warned this may not work with your peripherals -- it didn't with mine.
Didn't work for me.......2007-03-09
I have a really cool USB keyboard that I wanted to use with my KVM switch that only accepts PS/2 connections. I researched and researched and found that typically if your keyboard doesn't ship with a PS/2 adapter, no third party adapter will work with it either. But if the keyboard shipped with one, you'd likely not be looking to purchase one unless you lost the other.
Didn't work with my keyboard.......2007-01-22
I ordered a few of these, because USB keyboards sometimes don't work with programs that boot into DOS mode (such as hard-drive scanning utilities).
However, I was disappointed to find out that these do not work with my Microsoft Comfort Curve keyboard. After some discussion with the seller, they sent me out another adapter (purple in color, like the PS/2 color code for keyboards) but that did not work either. The pinout is apparently the same on both adapters, so we didn't expect it would make a difference.
Apparently some keyboards do not support the USB/PS2 conversion, so be aware of that when buying these adapters.

This is a little item that has made life very convenient for me. It allows me to use both my keyboard and mouse with my Gateway laptop. I have not had a single issue with this product. I run it through a KVM switch as well, and I have not had any issues with quality or connection. So I am very happy that it was listed with Amazon.

Product Description
Universal Serial Bus (USB) port technology has emerged in response to the proliferation of external peripheral devices (scanners, digital cameras, removable drives, etc.), that are increasingly being connected to the latest generation of PCs. USB behaves in a similar fashion to conventional bus ports (i.e., serial, parallel, PS/2), but since it does not require any IRQs, more devices can be attached to the system, and the problem of IRQ conflict is eliminated. The G-UC100KM PS/2 to USB Keyboard and Mouse interface converter provides the means for PS/2 type keyboards and mice to connect to a PC, notebook, laptop, or handheld computing device that supports the USB specification via the USB bus instead of using conventional bus technology. An advantage of this for notebooks, for example, is that now an external mouse and keyboard can be connected at the same time without causing conflicts. The G-UC100KM comes with two standard 6 pin mini DIN female connectors for the PS/2 keyboard and PS/2 mouse to plug into and has an attached 30 cm USB cable with a type A plug for connection to the PC's USB port, or to a USB hub.For further convenience - especially to users of notebooks, laptops, and handhelds - the G-UC100KM adapter derives its operating power from the Universal Serial Bus itself, so no bulky external power supply needs to be taken along. And because it is a USB Specification compliant device, the G-UC100KM supports energy-saving suspend and resume operations.
Customer Reviews:
Worked perfectly well with a Sun Ultra 20.......2007-04-22
Just bought this adapter this week and hooked it up to a Kinesis Contour keyboard and a Sun Ultra 20 -- worked perfectly.
Regarding the first, confused comment: yes, the name sounds backward, but that really is how this device is described.
This is NOT a USB to PS2 Converter !!.......2006-12-21
If you look at this item, it has 2 female PS2 ports for keyboard and mouse and the USB connector is male. This is really a PS2 to USB converter. Some one need to make the correction!
Tech support admits does not work with wireless mice.......2003-03-14
I bought this device to hook up a Logitech wireless mouse via a Linksys KVM switch to 2 PCs. The mouse motion was erratic and tended to overshoot the target screen item. Installed latest mouse drivers, no effect. Tried hooking mouse directly to PCs, works fine. Tried hooking KVM switch directly to PCs, also works fine. Problem is clearly with the USB/PS2 converter. Called technical support at IOGEAR who admitted that they have problems with some cordless mice - they recommended I return the device. At least they were honest, but it would have been better if their product worked properly.
