20FT Dvi Dual Link Digital Flat Panel Cable M-M.......2007-12-17
Did not know if this cable would be too long. Using it to connect a Radeon HD 2600 PRO 256 MB Vista PC to a LCD TV 1080i running at 1360 X 768 as a multi media system. The cable flexible and the video looks fine. Paid just under $25.
Longer than I needed, but nice quality........2007-12-12
I mean what can be said of a cable? It's long -- a little too long for my situation. It's a decent quality cable and it seems to work well. Other than that, I don't know what else to say.
Solid cable.......2007-08-30
good quality cable, black with white connectors at the ends.
It is indeed dual-link as listed, and my cable allows me to connect to a 30" apple cinema display at a beautiful 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution.

Check Your DVI Monitor and Video Card Pinouts First !!!.......2007-07-12
Check your specific monitor and video card pinouts first before buying: To those considering buying a DVI cable, this one is a DVI-I cable. Your monitor and video card DVI connectors need to have the pin inputs that are immed above and below the flat, long pin of the DVI connector. Otherwise you will not be able to connect using this cable. For example, I have a laptop that has a DVI-D output connector, and I cannot use this cable without also purchasing a DVI-I to DVI-D adapter. (do an internet search on dvi-i and dvi-d pinout to see a diagram of the connector and compare the DVI-I pinout to your monitor and video cable)
Works Fine.......2007-01-19
Similar to the other reviewer, I got this to connect my computer to a TV a little over 10 feet away. It works great, no problems what so ever.
It only sort of works..........2007-01-10
I'm not quite sure if the problem is this cable or my video card, but whenever I get it to work, it usually isn't any furthur than 1 computer reboot away from not transmitting any video output from my video card to my monitor.
Here's my situation:
I am using a Radeon X700 video card (in my Dell Dimension 8200 PC) with two video outputs (which supports dual monitors), one VGA and the other DVI. I'm using this DVI-I Dual Link cable I purchased on a 17'' LCD TV/Monitor, and the Dell CRT monitor that came with my computer is hooked up to the VGA output of the video card.
The purpose of this dual monitor setup, of course, is to extend my Windows desktop to my second monitor for extra screen space.
The problem is whenever I manage to extend the desktop to the second monitor (the LCD TV/Monitor) and get both monitors to work properly, as soon as I shut down and/or restart my computer the 2nd monitor (the one connected with this DVI-I cable) loses its video output the second before the Windows XP welcome/login screen appears, and is never to be seen again, unless of course I unplug the cable, reboot the computer, reconnect the cable, and go through the process of extending my Windows desktop to my second monitor all over again.
So, in the end, I think I'll have to stick to using one monitor instead of two, and hopefully this DVI-I cable won't give me much trouble with THAT simple of a task!
Great!.......2006-02-17
This cable arrived VERY quickly and was exactly as described. I'm using it as a PC->HDTV cable and really needed the length. I was worried about signal degradation but haven't noticed any at all. The cable has a lot of conductors and doesn't like to bend (the ferrite beads don't help) so make sure whatever you're using it on has a bit of extra clearance.

Flawless product, incorrect description.......2007-10-18
One usually uses the term "extension cable" to refer to a cable with a male connector at one end and a female connector at the other. This cable has a male connector at both ends, as shown in the diagrams. So it's not an extension cable.
I bought this cable after another one I had bought turned out to have insufficient bandwidth to support my 1600x1200 monitor. This one works perfectly.

Good cable, but beware of DVI-I.......2007-06-01
The cable appears to be solid and well-built, but I can't use it. Don't make the same mistake I did and think that because it handles both analog and digital DVI signals that you can use a DVI-I cable on a monitor with a DVI-D connector. They are incompatible - you can't physically plug the DVI-I connector into a DVI-D socket.
Last DVI cable you will need.......2006-12-19
This DVI cable works well with my computer and lcd monitor. The cable is thick and appears to be solidly constructed. At ten feet, it can easily reach anywhere I need it to go, although it obviously can't span rooms (but why would you want to do that in the first place?), but it's certainly long enough for most set-ups. It's DVI-I so it has good compatibility with both DVI-A and DVI-D connectors and it's dual-link so it will provide the maximum amount of bandwidth. You won't need another digital cable for video until all connections go HDMI - and even then, you could still use an adapter to make use of this cable.

Works as advertized.......2007-11-17
I use this to connect my PC to the TV at 1028x1024 resolution and it works perfectly. The price is very affordable (even monoprice does not have it for less!)
Not an Extension but a very adequate cable.......2007-05-09
Although this cable is described on this page by Amazon as an Extension, which would be M-F, I was looking for a regular DVI-D M-M cable. I checked the StarTech website, and their code, DVDIDDMM15, as shown on this page at present, is correct, as are the connector images. The cable itself works well for my Dell PC to BenQ flat panel TV connection. By the way, StarTech do not seem to make any M-F extension versions for DVI-D at this length.

fit the bill.......2006-06-09
the stock dvi cable for my monitor was too short. looked around for a replacement, but after considering costs for a 10 footer, figured that just using this as an extension would do just as well -- and it has. actually, i've not got 12ft. to play w/ instead of getting another 10 ft. m/m cable. i also think white ends can actually be useful in that it's easier for recognition when doing a quick glance. i found the thumbscrews to be good; not too close to the adapter to make it difficult to screw in effectively.
oh yeah, like the other reviewer said, don't buy this if you're simply looking for a dvi cable for your monitor; you'll want a male-male connection (this one's male-female).
Low-cost, reliable DVI-D cable.......2004-11-08
This is a 2-meter Male/Female dual-link DVD-D cable. It's cheap and definitely is not of the same build quality as Monster Cables but its performance is pretty good. I recommend this unless you absolutely want to pay an arm and a leg for a DVI cable.
Remember, this is a male-female cable. Most people need a male-male cable.
