These are low priced optical cables that work well. One note they come with plastic covers of the optical plug that you have to remove before connecting your components.

Optical Cable. Plug it in. Configure your equipment to use the Optical Channel. That's all there is to it. It either works, or it doesn't. So far, it works !!!! Let's hope it stays that way.

Not much more to say. Most of your cheaper cables are poorly made but this one is well put together. It doesn't have the same level of protection as the really expensive ones but you really don't need it as long as you don't abuse them or tie them in knots.
Everything hooked up perfect and the difference in sound quality is amazing. If you've been putting off upgrading because of cable prices grab a couple of these and enjoy the improvement.

I have been using BetterCables video cables since 2001. I have (1) 5M component, (1) 5M s-video, (1) 5M composite, (1) 2M premium toslink and (2) 1M component. I love their product! read their reviews! This Toslink gave me clear, rich sound that I found to edge out the premium Monster Toslink THX! They make a great product!

An Electronics Fan posted a conflicting review saying "Light's light - buy the cheapest optical you can find". He tried the GE (Jasco) Ultra Prograde Digital Optical Cable AV22684. This cheapest optical I could find cost me wasted time and money. The Monster Digital Interlink LightSpeed 100 Cable solved the problem. It transmitted several times greater intensity light than the limp, weak, cheap GE cable.

This cable did not work between my Creative SoundBlaster Live! 5.1 sound card and my Logitech Z-680 speakers system. I tried everything but finally I figured out that the fact that I have no sound is because of the cable. It is a low-quality cheap cable.

this optical cable is just as good as the rest of them. if you have a ps2 or any other electrical audio product that contain and optical out, but this. you will imediately hear the difference in sound from your stereo/tv/etc. this optical cable cost me less tan the rest of them. buy this, you wont regret it.

I bought 3 of these cables for my home theatre setup. I use these to connect my PS2, Xbox and DVD player to my 5.1 audio receiver. They sound great and even through a splitter, I notice no drop off or signal loss.
Don't be fooled into spending too much on Monster cables (you're paying for the name), these cables are great. In fact, I'm thinking about buying some more for the next product I add to my home theatre.
The glow isn't too impressive, but the fact that they can fit into the slot at any position (they can rotate while connected), really cuts down on tangles and twisted cords.

Who says there are no sound differences in Optical Cables?.......2007-08-18
I was using a common optical cable (non glass fiber) and found that it made my system sound harsher in the highs and lacked bass, relative to digital coaxial cable. After replacing it with Sonicwave I noticed the highs were much smoother, and more tight and defined bass.
At first I was concerned about the flexibilty of this cable because it uses glass fiber. It's very flexible, nothing to worry about.

This is a fantastic cable! The quality is fantastic! The cable is very beefy and you can tell the quality by seeing and holding it! I have other Sonicwave cables from Impact Acoustic and love them all! We will use nothing else but this brand! By the way, the package is great, too! They take care when packaging them, so you don't have to worry about their condition when you get them! The package is so nice, that I won't throw it away! I would recommend this cable to anyone. The price is good, too.
