great for ultra slim laptops.......2007-03-23

I bought this as a supplemental case to the Sony Vaio Slim Notebook Carry Case. This case fits the VGN-TXN15P perfectly. I use this case to protect the laptop when I want to carry my briefcase and not an additional full notebook carry case... I stick the laptop into this case and then into my briefcase. It's nicely padded, so it protects the TXN from all the other crap floating around in my briefcase. It has one pocket on the back with a velcro closure. Kind of wish it had a strap.

sony protection.......2007-12-27

this review is being wrote on behalf of the sony neoprene notebook sleeve, this product adds extra protection while carrying. The construction of the sleeve is very solid, and placed inside Vaio amb-1 bag keeps laptops from being demaged. I suggest that purchasing a laptop bag is very nice, but for added protection against bumps, adding a sleeve also will do the trick.

Fit my laptop perfectly, and the zipper dosent nip or scratch my comp at all. My comp even has room to move around a bit which is nice. Great deal too.

I also have a widescreen sony viao 15 in, and I was worried it wouldnt fit, but it worked out great.

Perfectly fits a 15.4" Sony notebook. Useful for protection against spills and dust. You will need a backpack or briefcase with padding to carry your computer around since this case has none.

Good for what it is.......2007-05-21

I bought this for my new Sony Vaio. It is good as a cover while it is at home so it does not get dusty and it is good for use in a proper laptop carrying case. It does not replace the carrying case, though. It would be nice if it had handles and if somehow the adaptor pouch could attach to the laptop case.

Manufacturer dimensions are 2.5" x 14" x 10.25", a loose fit on a Dell e1505 1.5" x 14" x 10.5" (Listed product detail dimensions are, according to Sony, for the VGP-AMC5). AC adapter sleeve 2.5" x 9" x 4". Perfect for additional laptop protect and organizing a few extras. AC adapter sleeve is fully lined and has a elastic strap to help secure the power supply and internal zippered pocket for small accessories. There may even be room for a small mouse, depending on the size of your power supply. Excellent value if you can find it for less than $17 w/ free shipping (I brought it at Buy. com).

Sony VGP-AMC1 for SZ laptops.......2007-09-15

I think this sleeve is designed for Sony S series laptops, and is intended to be used as an additional protection, not a carrying case (no shoulder strap or handle). I bought it for my SZ laptop, and it does fit the laptop but the four corners of the sleeve are really stressed out. In fact, the fit is so tight that I don't think the sleeve would last very long.

For a main laptop carrying case, I would recommened the VGP-CCB3 case for a Sony SZ laptop. This carrying case is much sturdier, and it can store the SZ laptop and power adaptor without problems. I use the VGP-CCB3 as the main carrying case for my SZ laptop, and I only use the neoprene sleeve when I transport the laptop in a backback or suitcase.

Perfect for the Toshiba U205!.......2007-03-02

I needed some protection for my Toshiba notebook in my backpack, and thought the Vaio neoprene sleeve might be a good fit -- having once owned a neoprene sleeve that did its job (for a Sony Vaio), I know how useful the product is. I decided to risk it, since Toshiba doesn't market sleeves for its notebooks and the price was okay. To my surprise, it seems as if the sleeve was custom fit for the Toshiba U205. I also like that the AC adapter and cord go in their own little sleeve, helping me try to keep a semblance of order in my travel backpack.

On Vaio SZ-360P/C.......2007-02-08

This is a nice sleeve with snug fit on the Vaio SZ series, and I also like the AC adapter case which is really handy if you dont want to carry around a separate laptop bag. The only thing that occurs to me is that the corners are too rounded for the Vaio SZ series, so it is a tight fit on those corners. Maybe some people prefer this tight fit, but I wish it had sharper corners. If you guys are looking for more protection, check out the VGP-CKSZ1, that is one nice case.

This neoprene case was an excellent addition to protecting my Sony Vaio SZ-120p. Well worth the money.

This cover is too lightweight, as the thickness of the neoprene material used is too thin. It does increase the protection somewhat, however it would not, I feel, provide anything other light 'knock' cover. Secondly the case does not have any carry handles, which again adds to the risk factor. I would, if given a second chance spend a bit more to get a higher level of protection.

This isn't a carrying case this a scratch protector for your VAIO. If you are looking for a backpack or briefcase look elsewhere. If you are planning on throwing your notebook in a backpack or different carrying case then this is just the ticket to keep pens and other pokey stuff from scratching your beautiful VAIO.

Description lacking..........2003-04-19

I was looking for a carrying case for my new Vaio. There were no technical or product descriptions, but the title included "case". It was advertised as a Sony accessory for my Vaio laptop, and the picture looked like a carrying case. I naturally thought it was what I wanted. In fact, I chose it over a carrying case from Kensington, because I was concerned about a possible compatibility issue buying from another manufacturer. How could I go wrong buying a case expressly listed for my Vaio model from Sony?

I'll tell you. This "case" is nothing more than a thin wetsuit material slipcover for the laptop to prevent scratches and keep out dust (but it has a nifty Vaio logo for the vain)! (No, it's not waterproof; it's wetsuit material not drysuit.) IT IS A PROTECTIVE SLEEVE; NOT A CARRYING CASE!

Bottom line is I was very disappointed that I didn't get what I wanted. I rate ... For those who want a wetsuit for their Vaio, the product's probably a 4 or 5.
