What's not to love?.......2007-04-13
Nice looking roomy case, steel construction for better sound insulation than aluminum. Provides enough room for state-of-the-art graphics cards, CPU and cooling, but looks more appropriate in the living room than a tower. I suppose I would have preferred if the vent on the CPU side were sealed by default, but it's a minor niggle. Looks much better than the first image here; make sure to check out the other images, as the case is in fact a very dark matte black.

Good Mid-tower case with minor flaws.......2007-07-21
The Apevia X-plorer is a beautiful case with a side window ( to see all your hardware stuffs) and nice 80 mm blue led fans. The weight of this case is very light from being a metal one, also the blue temperature lcd on the front is a nice touch ( too bad is in farenheit). The interior is quite spacious, you can build a high end machine inside, even a 8800 GTX can fit ( just make sure you accomodate the Hard drives somewhere else)
As i'm using a high end machine, i found something that disappointed me, Inside Temps!!!, they are way hotter than my room temps, i think that the problem is the fans position designs, and the fact that there is no good airflow in front of the case. For a common gamer with a mid-range computer, it will be great; but for me, say hello to Full tower!!!...
Another good point of the case is that it has a solid construction and that it looks great...

But unfortunately each time I screw in the motherboard into the case the PC will NOT turn on.. however if I take it out of the case it will.
It's some kind of an electricity issue and because the case does NOT come with any manuals my experience is somewhat negative. I do not know whether it's the case's fault or my motherboard's fault. Either way, a manual would be nice.
But yea.. it glows blue and has nice fans. It will fit 8800GTX, so if you're a gamer this case is OK-ed for you.
No quality control.......2007-02-15
I always wanted to build a dream computer. I carefully selected the best intel motherboard, dual core processor, etc., etc. I intended to digitalize vhs film. The problem came with this tower. I arrived with two problems on the front usb/ firewire connections. There was only one usb cable (Advertisement on Amazon claimed there were 2) which was not connected to the port. The same thing applies to the firewire. I cannot exchange the tower for a new one because the final destination of this order is outside of the USA. There is no way I can get it back to the seller. Looking for the best way to resolve this issue I asked Aspire to send me by e-mail instructions on how to open the front of the case and connect the usb and firewire ports two days ago. So far they have not responded.

Out of the box, seems like a decent case, with thicker guage aluminum. But, after motherboard install and initial power up, the power button got stuck. Freeing the button did not resolve the problem. Not only did the button stick, the switch was faulty. This case was totally non functional. Testing the mb in a new case resolved the issue.

This is one of the nicest cases I have ever used. I have built a lot of PC's and used lots of cases. This case is a dream for the PC builder. The tooless design makes it SO EASY to make modifications in the drive bays if needed. Absolutely NO SCREWS to mess with! Fantastic! Drives go in and out in a snap! And instaling cards is also a breeze with just one flip up latch that snaps in or out to secure the cards. The case is quiet, convenient and the cooling is GREAT! The fold away front panels make this case a very handsome item to see when completed. And the overall quality is A+++. Cooler Master appears to make cases that are on par with cases 3 times the price! You can't miss with this little honey. I just wish it was a full tower! Now that would be the cat's meow! Love it!

I have owned this case for almost a year now. When i got it, i installed another blue neon light inside the case, just to let you know.
Pros of Case-
*Looks GREAT, will impress everyone who sees it.
*temperature gage works
*PC will never go over 30 degrees Celsius
*Great access to the USB 2.0 ports on the front.
*Front acrylic door, you will learn to love it
Cons-
*Because the case has a acryllic door, and acryllic left side, you will often find yourself dusting/polishing those two pieces.
*Also because of the acrylic left side, you will often find yourself cleaning the INSIDE of the case to get dust out. Because who wants to look through that and see a bunch of dust on the ram/fans/cpu/floor of the case?
*Fans are very noisy, and will let a lot of dust in OVER TIME (don't get me wrong here, the dust inside the computer isn't that bad at all, just every 6 months or so you may want to dust inside it with a vaccum, but by no means is this necessary.)
*If you plan on having this in your room, keep in mind because of the fan noise+lcd lights, you may have a hard time sleeping if you leave it on at night
*Case seems a BIT flimsy. I only notice when i bring it to lan parties.
-Other thoughts
*Fan noise is very easy to fix, with around 20$ you can go and buy some low db fans to replace the two other ones. You can even buy more colored fans for the left side. Keep in mind most cases will have cheaper fans, so this issue isn't exclusive to this case.
Conclusion
***This is a beautiful and functional case. The fan noise isn't that bad, and if you can't stand it for some reason, just buy "noiseless fans". If you like how it looks buy it, because it is also fully functional and great for mods etc.***
