This device performs just as it should. I did find that it sometimes tends to rewind/retract itself when not desired. This is a minor inconvenience. Overall, I appreciate having the backup capability and portability it provides. Good work!

The retractable USB cable with alternative ports is extremely helpful since I have a number of USB activated devices. It saves wear and tear on the CPU because I've only plugged it in once and I can remove and attach any one of my devices at the distal end. Likewise, the retractable feature makes is easy to transport without tangling the cable.

this is a very good cable, i abuse it a lot and it still hasen't worn out. it is very high quality stuff for that price, and it is so much more convenient than having a wound up thick cable in your laptop bag. I only gave it a 4 though because it is not as long as it should be, i fully extended it and it only measures about 1 foot 8 inch not 2.6

I bought the adesso keypad with intent to use it with Mac OSX and windows XP. The device works flawlessly, I couldn't be happier. Plus it is a well built, sturdy design, and doesn't take up too much space/weight. The retractable cord is a great space saver for storing, but like all retractable usb cables, I can't help but worry a bit about it's durability. All in all though, the adesso keypad is an excellent buy.

I plugged this in and the iBook tried to "identify" the keyboard; it couldn't, but I just chose the United States option and all was well. Not as stylish as the one offered in white, but for me it is purely functional and works great for the price.

I purchased this keypad for the purpose of gaming and performing live electronic music, not data entry.
It just arrived today, I opened the box, plugged it in and popped up metapad to try it out. So far, I'm quite pleased. However, the pressure required to press the keys is about four times what is needed on a normal laptop keyboard, and about twice what is needed on my klunky, classic desktop keyboard.
That said, I still love it. I wouldn't want to spend 2 hours punching numbers into a spreadsheet with it, but I'm confident it will perform quite well for my intended purposes. But, I am hoping that it breaks in a bit with use. Also, the flat, ribbon style, retracting cable works like a charm, and it's exactly the size and weight I'd hoped (I'll post a customer picture soon).
This thing is going to be great plugged into my laptop at shows, and I'm looking forward to playing my favorite space sim with a joystick in each hand and this thing just in reach without a full keyboard in the way. =D

This thing delivers in spades! It's nice and small, so you don't need to do much dancing to access all the buttons. The analog nub works just like the PSP's, and works alright for a D-Pad as well. I'm on a mac, so the included drivers weren't of much use, but it's an HID device so it works fine. Works with emulators, Cave Story, and other games. Comes in a really nice box, too.
Especially at this price, this is ideal for a notebook gamer.

I purchased an Asus Eee PC (love it) about a month ago and wanted a small gamepad to easily take with it. I play emulators (SNES, NES....etc) and using just the keyboard can be a pain. I did a bit of research, and ended up purchasing this one.
Pros: Size matters, and this one is perfect for mobile use. It folds in half, and with the detachable retractable cord it fits easy in a small bag with the laptop. But, if you have large hands, then this is not the pad for you. I am average and it is very workable. The build quality seems good, and they kept the weight down so its easy to hold. It comes with a case, but I do not use it. The buttons work well, but it will not replace my full size Logitech Dual for desktop use. As a bonus since the cable is a standard USB cable, I always have a way to plug a camera into the laptop on the go. Price is right, actually wish I had picked up two.
Cons: The little d-pad is very much like the analog stick on the PSP. It is a bit odd feeling and it is easy to push the wrong direction. I play mostly old RPG's so it is not an issue, but for fast action games I would say it would be a no go. The cord (standard USB connections) is a bit short, but you can use any standard USB cable. I wish it were not the "silver" color, black or white would be better for me.
If you are looking for a tiny, easy to carry gamepad, this is a good choice. If I lost it I would quickly buy another one.

I was somewhat taken aback when I first saw this mouse, I didn't realize how small it was when I ordered it and didn't know how easy it would be to use for long periods. I purchased this product because of its compact design which is perfect for my travelling job. It worked wonderfully in the beginning, but it started acting crazy after a couple of months. It double clicked on its own when I clicked only once (which is annoying when everything you click pops open). Then it started to lose the optical signal and then it just died.
Luckily, it was still under warranty, so I got my replacement. However within 8 months, it broke down again (having the same problem). So I contacted Targus again. But this time they would not replace it because they only replace during the 1 year warranty of the original purchase. It's not like I abused it. I took good care of it. It sucks that Targus will not stand behind their product 100%.
Don't purchase this if you don't want to shell out more money to replace every couple of months.

Nice mouse at a good price. Quality seems high and compact size is nice for traveling but is not too small to be uncomfortable. It would be nice if the cord retracted into the mouse itself, but not many models have this feature (like Kensington pocketmouse pro). Good mouse if you don't want a cordless mouse.
