I purchased this cable to hook my laptop up to a 26" 720p HDTV, and it serves its purpose ideally. The picture quality is pristine and works beautifully for watching standard or HD movies and can crank out 1080p as well. The price was also easy to swallow. If this cable fits your needs, buy it!

This allowed me to use my HD (1080i) TV as a pc monitor connecting to one of the HDMI ports on my TV to the pc with a dvi video card. Having a 52 inch monitor is pretty cool. The TV was not as forgiving of the video mode selected as 'normal' pc monitors, but when I finally chose a compatible mode on the PC everything worked like a breeze.

I have an older HDTV (1080i) that has 1 DVI HD input and 2 component HD video inputs but no HDMI. I use my component inputs for my digital cable receiver and HDDVD player. I used this cable to hook up my PS3 to the DVI connection and it works just fine. Great product for a great price.

Like the other reviews, remember, DVI is only video. So DVI==>HDMI will only give you a video signal.

Although this one is still a little pricey, it is half the cost of a majority of these cables. It is very solid and durable and I've had no problems with it so far. This will output 1080p from your PS3 to your HDTV(if your TV supports it). If that is what you are looking for then you should purchase this. However, you can find cheaper ones if you really look. This one seemed like the best choice to me and I have no regrets!

I go this product a while back for my Comcast cable box to my Pioneers Plasma. The Comcast Motorola box had dvi out put and component out. I try both and can't tell the quality difference. So its pretty good. The picture is clear and I have no complaints yet.

I connected my Samsung 42" DLP to my MacBook Pro using this cable.
The image quality was OK. My computer has a Radeon X1600 video board. I tried the different resolutions that my TV supports and I everything worked. However, when I connected the computer to my stereo, a nasty noise (white noise, like bad ground) would appear. If the video cable was disconnected the audio from the laptop would play just fine. Needless to say, I've returned the cable to get some other brand.

I firmly believe with digital cables (HDMI, DVI, etc.) you are wasting your $ to spend $100+ on Monster and other high-end cabloes. There are plenty of articles supporting this if you do your research. This cable works great and provides great picture and sound quality for a mere fraction of the price of the others. I know for a fact that there is at least a 100% markup on Monster and the like at the big box stores.

Unless you're doing a long cable run or afraid trendy people will check to see what kind of cable you use then this hdmi cable will treat you just fine. Great price... although the shipping is as much as the cable which can't possibly be true.

I bought this cable to replace the HDMI cable I bought at Circuit City the day my HD-DVD player arrived. The cable I bought at Circuit City costed over $60 (w/ tax), and yet never worked properly (intermittent HDMI signal dropout-no picture). I ordered this cable by Tripp Lite to see if it was the Circuit City cable or the player that was the problem.
It turns out it was the cable I got at Circuit City (NeXXtech), as this much cheaper Tripp Lite cable works flawlessly (and is much longer I might add, giving me more leeway with my component placement).
I don't know if the NeXXtech cable was defective or if it was the noise reduction couplers on each end, but these Tripp Lites don't have the couplers and work great without them. Would definitely recommend the Tripp Lites.
