I use this cable daily to plug my ipod nano (2nd generation) into the stereos where I teach. It works well, travels well thanks to the retractable cord, and since the part where it plugs into the ipod is slender, I DON'T have to remove my Belkin Acrylic Case Belkin F8Z130 Clear Acrylic Case with Carabiner Clip for iPod Nanos (2nd gen) from my ipod in order to use the cable; I can use it with the case in place.

I've tried a variety of Y stereo cables and they all eventually would break down within a couple MONTHS OF HEAVY USE.
THIS ONE IS A STEADY WORKHORSE! COST MORE THAN MOST BUT OVER TIME IS WELL WORTH IT. noise free ah the sounds of silence! :)
