My car offers line-in audio which means I can play my iPod directly through my car speakers without the need of a scratch, static-filled fm tuner. If your car has line-in, forget wasting your money on the tuners and just get a cable like this.
The only downfall is that it doesn't charge your iPod like the fm tuners, which probably isn't news to you, but just a reminder.

I use this item in my car with my ipod and the auxilary input in my car stereo. I enjoy the fact that the wire is very lengthy, giving the option to allow passengers in the back of my car to change the music. I have encountered small moments when there was noise when I would move the wire around at the input jack. However, for the most part, the product is reliable and I haven't had too many problems with the item.

well yes of course it's only a two-headed (male each end) cable and it's six feet long, But you might miss the simple beauty of having such a lovely and straightforward piece of equipment if you haven't at some point discovered you had too male female receptors about your place and not enought male ends. Simplicity to the rescue. You can perceive the rightness fill the room as soon as the males penetrate the females and those electrons begin flowing. by all means you need to have your own 6FT (comforting thought that) 3.5MM Stereo Cable with male jacks at each end.

This cable does its job, unlike some 3.5mm M to F extension cables you buy only to find that only one side works. It worked on the first try and the cable is thick.

It works but noise comes only when I touch the joint part to PC [no such noise when I use my earphones without this item]. The cord is a little thick and hard. So, it's not so great in quality, but still it functions. Quality 3.5 stars - Price 5 stars.

This retractable dubbing cable is very clever. I got it for my son to link his Ipod to his car stereo. He wanted a long cable to be able to move his Ipod around in the car, and the retractable feature keeps the cable nice and neat. If your looking for a longer cord you MUST get this, theres not a drop in quality of sound or anything. When I got my new computer my tower wouldn't fit under my computer desk so I had to set the tower at the side of the desk which turned out perfectly except that the cord for my speakers wouldn't reach the computer and I had to prop the computer on some folded up cardboard to get the cord to reach, but the worst part about that is that I had to reverse my speakers (and you gamers know that, thats not good espicially when your playing a game that depends on sound like Thief or System Shock)but I came here to this site and they had what I needed. Im happy with my setup now that the cord can reach. Well I don't want to take too much space but if your reading this go and get this cord you won't regret it.
