These appear to be high quality discs. I haven't created any drink coasters yet. I bought these because I want to archived my digital photos and music. I heard those cheap discs will deteriorate over time. These are supposed to be "archival" quality. We shall see...
Verbatim remains a high quality brand.......2007-12-08
Since basically every other brand out there has turned to second and third tier DVD suppliers, Verbatim remains the lone hold out for those of us who want to reliably buy first tier quality blanks. These DataLifePlus blanks are supposed to have superior lifespan compared to other kinds, and I have some that I burned from three years ago that are still working fine. It's definitely worth a little extra to be able to burn once and never worry again.
I've burned about 20 of these DVDs so far without any problems, and I like the plain white top compared to the normally shiny and flashy designs.

Sure they're a little more but so what? They are the best, most reliable discs and printable too!
BTW this review is for the DataLifePlus, NOT the DataLife which is not as good.

I am very pleased with this product. I recently purchased an HP printer that has the capability of direct media printing. This is my first experience with printable media. I am very happy with my choice of this particular product. I would highly recommend it.

Perfect burns every disc. I have used hundreds of these without a problem. Verbatim reliability outperforms and outlasts all of the competition. Printing to the hub is nice plus, the final printed disc always looks and plays professionally. I have tried other brands and always regret it, too many wasted burns.

Amazon forwarded my order to ANTonline when I tried to buy these DVD's. I will never deal with ANTonline again. They are the worst seller that Amazon deals with. They sent the wrong product to me then never ever bothered to correct the situation. After writing to them twice they only answered me once then just dropped me.
Amazon did take the opportunity to step up to the plate by crediting my credit card. Don't ever deal with Antonline.
Verbatim DVD's are the best and the only printable surface DVD's I can count on in my MacBook Pro.
