This general purpose disc has a silver lacquer top surface, and records at a 8x speed, holding a capacity of 4.7GB of data. It will work with Rimage Prism and Primera Inscripta printers. Its packaged in 100 pc beehive/cake boxes, and in master cartons of 600 pcs. This product is not designed to work in a Rimage Everest printer.This product is recommended for screen printing. Used ritek 04 all my burning life for games and movies, bought these because of the price and over the moon with them.
Heard a lot of great things about TY and now I know why, not one coaster/failure out of the 50 I have burnt so far, ritek was 1 in 7 failure, so impressed and will stick to these.

Hard to find better DVDs. I haven't burned a coaster yet, over 50 DVDs later.

In my second hundred lot of TY 8X DVD-Rs I encountered playback errors in the DVD videos made from them. [I had gotten good results from my first hundred lot.] Initially unsure if it was the media, my DVD player, or my burner, I finally bought some Verbatim disks and my difficulties disappeared. I had to conclude that the TYs were at fault and I have not used them since.
Bear in mind that I may have been unlucky; I did have good results from the first hundred lot I purchased and they are very reasonably priced. It remains possible that my burner is substandard. I do not buy TY any more, however.
Taiyo Yuden 8x 4.7GB DVD.......2007-04-07
I've tried memorex and a host of other dvd media. Taiyo Yuden has yet to produce a coaster for me, and I have copied/burned over 90 games/movies using Taiyo Yuden. I can only say good things about a good product and this is a good product. I have only found 2 media sources that worked flawlessly for me, Khypermedia dvd-r and Taiyo Yuden.

Really nice disks. Burn at up to 12x with no problems. Just plain well-made. There was no cases of layers ungluing, no loss of readablility. No coasters al all, by the way! And it is a record, considering the fact that I used several hundreds of them already. The recording layer is that metal-azo (This invention provides azo-metal complex dyes for a high-density optical disc recording medium that produces recordings with greater power margin and better sensitivity). (by Mitsubishi Kagaku Media (MKM)) This media are manufactured utilizing Ultra-Precise Molding (UPM) technology which produces very flat discs, guaranteeing stable, high-speed rotation during the reading and writing processes.

Amazon forwarded my order to ANTonline when I tried to buy these DVD's. I will never deal with ANTonline again. They are the worst seller that Amazon deals with. They sent the wrong product to me then never ever bothered to correct the situation. After writing to them twice they only answered me once then just dropped me.
Amazon did take the opportunity to step up to the plate by crediting my credit card. Don't ever deal with Antonline.
Verbatim DVD's are the best and the only printable surface DVD's I can count on in my MacBook Pro.

Excellent archival quality DVDs.......2007-09-11
We used these to burn DVDs of family videos for six siblings. We were previewing some of them on an old DVD player, and had a few rough spots, but when we played them on other DVD players, the same ones worked beautifully. The siblings have had their copies for three months now, and no complaints!
