I looked over all of these types of adapters on Amazon. Many had customer reviews that said they did not work. This one had pretty good reviews. In my environment, it works perfectly. I connected a ps2 keyboard to my new Dell Inspiron and it worked with no problem. I also connected a ps2 keyboard to an old KVM switch which has PS2 connections coming out of it. I used this product to connect the KVM to my Dell, and it works with no problem. Highly recommended.

I got this for a Lite-On wireless keyboard/mouse combo that has two PS/2 connectors. It's hooked up to a Mac Mini. I found that I had to swap the keyboard and mouse connections (i.e., purple-to-green and green-to-purple, instead of purple-to-purple and green-to-green) to get the mouse to work. For the most part this is working fine with the Mac Mini, but I've noticed that every time the Mac restarts, it needs to re-identify the keyboard. Also, a few times the keyboard and mouse functions have started freaking out a little - usually fixable by toggling Num Lock or Shift Lock a few times. I did have to reboot entirely once, though. It's hard to say whether the problem lies with this adapter, the keyboard, or the Mac - so I'm giving this four stars as it mostly appears to work as advertised.

As a computer technician, I am always trying to connect antiquated equipment to new computers for clients, and this device fits the bill perfectly. I have used them for a few years and haven't had any problems. It is pretty simple, just plug in the PS/2 devices and it converts them to USB. This device is a lot better than the single plug converters, because they tend to be to large.

I got this product to use on a couple Fedora Core 6 servers, which had no PS/2 ports. Took a whole of 10 seconds to get it working, plugged them in through my 8 port KVM swich. No problems.
Keysrokes cut out and it confuses NUMLOCK.......2007-07-03
While this adapter "works", it has two serious flaws. First, it cuts out frequently for a few seconds at a time, during which you can't type at all. This seems to happen every 5-10 minutes. And, occasionally, if you happen to by pressing one of the arrow keys while it's cutting out, it will register that as the associated number on the keypad and keep repeating that number until the reset process is complete. This happens even when you aren't using the arrow keys on the numeric keypad. Overall, I'm very disappointed in this device, and now I'm looking for a replacement. Fortunately, this dongle was cheap. Unfortunately, it was too cheap to be worth my time to pursue a refund.

Had this and it worked fine with my old PS2. I just bought a new PS2 with the progressive scan, built-in IR receiver, and quieter operation. And guess what? It does not work with it. And Of course Sony does not offer an extension cable. Just be aware. I gave the cable away with my old system.

Contrary to a previous review, this extension cable works perfectly with the Playstation 2. It will not damage either the controller or the PS2. I have used it with the Dualshock 2, and I also found that you can even plug the receiver for the DVD remote control into it, and it works fine.

This cable is not made by Sony and is not compatible. It messes up your controllers and they do not work properly. Using it will risk damaging your PS2

Simply Great !! I have a projector and 80" screen. So, playing on such a huge screen would be painful if you have to set close. I got this cable and connected two togather and then to the controller. It is simply great ! Enjoying playing on the far sofa with no problem !
