I brought this pack along with my new Sony camcoder (DVD408). But unfortunately all (except one) DVD is not working. First I thought, it is the problem with sony camcoder, but its not all working in computer drives also. I tried with 3 different computer. I received the Memorex miniDVD+RW discs (10 pk) quickly after purchase. I tried to use it for recording on the camcorder Canon DC230. Unfortunately it gave me a message: CANNOT READ THE DISC, CHECK THE DISC.
I tried three other discs from the same package (Memorex miniDVD+RW), but none of them worked).
I need technic support ASAP. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

This was a very easy drive to install. If I can do it, anyone can. It is easy to use, as being reasonable in price. It comes with Nero software, which is also quite simple to use. I would recommend this to any and all.

I have never installed a disk drive before. I bought this to replace my worn out CDRW drive. Buzzed right through the install (once I figured out exactly what I was doing). It's been 3 weeks since I installed it. Seems to be working fine. Very pleased.
**** The Intel graphics card on this hard drive is not updated. I have downloaded the update several times but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Causes occational screen freezing that can be really annoying.

Works Great with Newer Burners.......2007-12-20
These disks work great with a Pioneer DVR-112D burner (installed in an Apple PowerMac G5 2.7 Dual). Now that 8x writing to REWRITEABLE disks is a reality, one can finally utilize RW disks without the performance penalty of 2x/4x media.
Per other reviewers, make sure that a) your burners's firmware is up-to-date, and b) your burner supports a MINIMUM of 4x write speed to DVD+RW disks. I can confirm that the latter requirement -- stated on the packaging -- is a must. (My 1st-generation MacBook Pro 17" laptop, which has a burner that only supports 2x rewriting, refuses to burn these disks. That said, once they have been written to, my MacBook Pro reads them just fine.)

Bad Spindle AND Replacement Spindle Bad.......2007-11-03
I bought 2 25 pack spindles June '07. I use them for recording broadcast movies on one of several DVD recorders. One spindle was totally fine but the other had a 100% failure rate by the 3rd time any disk was recorded. (Disk unrecordable message or such depending on the recorder I used). I contacted Memorex and they sent me a replacement for the bad spindle. The replacement spindle now is also experiencing a 100% failure rate by the 4th or 5th time a disk is recorded. Instead of error messages the disk usually freezes somewhere near the middle during playback. I contacted Memorex again and they now refuse to make good on the bad replacements. Long story short.... buy Sony, Fuji or any good Japanese brand. I haven't had any trouble with Imation but I hear that they are now part of Memorex so I plan to avoid those in the future as well.

I got these rewritable DVDs in order to watch TV shows recorded on my computer. I'm new to the whole DVR realm and don't have everything connected in my house in order to send TV recordings from my computer to my preferred TV. Even though write-once blank DVDs are quite cheap, I couldn't bring myself to creating that much waste (I am not into "collecting" shows). These rewritable DVDs are perfect for watching a show once and then reusing them. Even better is removing the commercials on the computer before copying them to the DVD (DVRMSToolbox is clumsy for this, but I eventually got it to work). Commercial-free TV is the best!

The important thing is that I have not yet had to toss any of these out because of a 'bad burn' when authoring, relative to other brands I've used. My only complaint, and it's aesthetic, is that the top is golden in color, which I was not able to determine from any descriptions or promotional material. When labeling, I get better color if the top of the disc is silvery, rather than golden. But, when using Light Scribe (black & white), color isn't an issue. In terms of authoring, I recommend this product. In terms of labeling, I'm going to keep looking for a better alternative.

It usually takes around 25 min. to burn a complete cover (full of graphic details) in the best quality. Excellent results on games, music and videos.

I STILL AM NOT SURE WHY I PURCHASED THESE (6) DUAL LAYER DVD'S AFTER ONE YEAR ON MY SHELF, I TRIED TO BURN A DVD MOVIE ON ONE, AS IT WAS TOO LARGE FOR A STANDARD DVD AND IT COPIED HALF AND THEN QUIT, RUINING THE DUAL LAYER DISK AND LEAVING ME UNABLE TO MAKE A COPY OF THE MOVIE I WAS WANTING TO BACK UP. SO UNLESS YOU HAVE A REAL NEED FOR A DUAL LAYER DISK I WOULD NOT ADVISE YOU TO MAKE THE PURCHASE.

I was in a time crunch and needed a dvd-dl disc. Unfortunately the only brand available to me at the time was Memorex. I bought the 3 pack, and despite all my attempts, the entire 3 pack was completely worthless. I tried using my internal drive as well as my external drive, all a waste of time. Finally, I went out and bought my favorite brand, Verbatim, and everything worked like a charm on the very first try. Don't gamble with your money, don't buy Memorex.

I have constantly had problems with any Memorex media, both single layer and dual layer. I've thrown away dozens of discs. Similar problems as others have mentioned here, skipping, disc errors, inconsistent recording, high pitched sqealing in and out of the audio, very annoying, and on and on and on. I have had the best luck with Sony media. Stay away from anything with Memorex on it, this stuff is the worst media out there. I will never buy Memorex again. It's the cheapest media out there when it's on sale, but alas, you get what you pay for.
