I love listening to music through my stereo and playing movies through my system. You've got to have the cable to do it right. Headphone out doesn't quite cut it. The cable is basic (and should be standard issue with the amazing Zen).

This thing rules. I bought it thinking the video would be bad but most of them are dvd quality. I love this thing and I use it to watch all my videos that are on my zen.

So, this cable does exactly what it is supposed to do, i.e., it sends video from your Zen Vision: M 30GB or 60GB to your TV. It works okay.
It plugs into the sync adapter (that light plastic box that connects to the proprietary connector slot on the bottom of the unit). I didn't realize this and I think it's annoying that in addition to this cable, you also have to carry around that thing in order for it to work.
The other thing I noticed about it is that the video out is pretty terrible. Let me be clear, the image is sharp, clear crisp - whatever you want to call it. BUT everything has a super-warm, reddish tint to it. I'm certain that this red hue is not in the source material.

This is a great replacement for the original usb cable and dongle if all you want to do is recharge your Creative Zen Vision:M. However, I have been unable get it to sync with any computer, and I've tried at least three.

This has a big or minor problem depending on your needs. It doesn't sync with your computer if you haven't synced with a dongle before hand. My computer wasn't able to see my player until I used the dongle but I was still able to charge using this cable.
So to be clear of what I mean is I can sync using this cable but only after using a dongle. If the dongle gets lost and I have to reinstall the software I won't be able able to sync using this cable. I might just have gotten a bad one because I don't see any other reviews that talks about this. Or maybe they didn't try this cable on fresh install of the software that was never used with the dongle.
It is still worth buying just to be able to charge via usb.

It's a cable nothing fancy. It just plain works. Beats paying around 5 bucks for a usb cable and another 20 for the adapter. Shipping, however, did take a little longer than expected considering i paid for expedited shipping and consequently i ended up going on the road with no music. That's the only reason i'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5.

No complaints so far. ive had this Vision M data cable for about a month now and it transfers files, and charges my player with no problems. i keep this cable in my office incase i need it, and keep the original at home. its ready to be used right out of the box! i would definitely recommend this product :)

You just have to buy this if you own a creative zen m. Don't waste money buying the extra dongle or to replace one you lost. You can buy this for cheaper and you can't really lose it again.
Some say this might break easier, but god...it's $3! The dongle is about $20ish...you can buy like 6 or 7 of these and it will surely outlast your zvm and you won't lose it. Even if you lose it, you'll still have plenty more if you actually bought 6 or 7 of them o.O

It does what it does, which is charge the Zen Vision M quicker than the USB cable would, but it also causes a loud buzzing in the headphones while charging, making it impossible to listen to music while charging the unit.
My best guess is its cheaply shielded and it's electromagnetic noise. I've tried solutions to no avail so buy if you must, but I suggest a higher quality charger.

I bought two AC adapters for my Vision M - one for travel and one for work. They plug directly into the unit (no dongle required!) and permit the unit to remain charged and playing at the same time, unlike the USB control/charger interface.

This item works great. It allows me to use my device as a video player for presentations or just sharing personal videos with friends and family. It is ideal when a DVD or VCR is not available. Just plug and play!

This AV cable works as it is claimed to. It produces the correct and a very good clean signal. I have no complaints. The output is analog composite video and analog audio. It works great as input into my analog TV and receiver. I've tried it on two different tube TVs, two different portable LCD screens and one flat screen monitor with AV inputs.

I plugged this cable into my TV, and the TV did not recognize the source, I'm not sure it the TV needs to be digital.

I was skeptical at first before purchasing this cable for my Zen 30GB Vision M. I took a trip to Radio Shack before buying, and they had several cables which did not work. Thankfully, this cable does work! The signal is crystal clear. The video is a little offset on the tv screen, but I don't think that is due to the cable. If only it were a little longer...

The AV Cable was more than affortable and easy to set up. I had it going in less than a minute. It showed a great picture and the sound was excellent. If you don't want to see your pictures and movies on the small Zen screen I suggest you get it.
