Special Note: If you currently own a 2.4x DVD+RW/+R Drive you must upgrade your firmware. 2.4x Write Speed DVD+RW/+R Drives sold by Memorex, Phillips, H/P, Verbatim, Sony and QPS require a drive firmware upgrade. Memorex 4x media is compliant with the new 4x write speed standards. Using the Memorex 4x Write Speed media with a 2.4x write speed DVD+RW/+R drive that has not had a firmware upgrade to support the new 4x write speed standards may result in writing errors, data retrievable failure and damage to the data on this disc. Please make sure to confirm whether your drive supports the new 4x write speed media before use.

I've been buying memorex for all my software backup needs for about 3 years now. Memorex is a high quality brand that delievers everytime with very few writing error. With this certain pack you are able to make your own custom labels, allowing you to be very creative. I recommend this blank dvd media to anyone looking for a grea reliable source for backing up data.

I did not purchase these DVD's from Amazon.com, but I thought it was my duty to warn potential consumers of the poor quality of this DVD media. I had 100% failure burning on these disks! Just to ensure my new Sony DVD burner wasn't DOA, I tried a different brand- Voila!, perfect burns!. I've been reading info from other sites that CMC makes these disks and to avoid any CMC products-Period! Poor quality control seems to be the common explanation. Do some research and look for discs manufactured by Ricoh- you'll save yourself money and frustration

I bought a 100 spindle of these, I was planning to use these to backup my movies, but when I tried to play these in the DVD player, the DVD stopped operation. So, then I tried to backup some data on one of these but also my computer seems to have difficult to read from these discs. now, I have 95 useless discs that do not work. I will never buy MEMOREX products anymore. I would recommend SONY DVDs instead of these.

I've bouught already 300 of these disks. By now, I've recorded 280+ with not even one error. And they print great. Amazing quality. I'll buy them over and over.

I have used Memorex without trouble until these printable to the hub ones. The biggest problem is that the burn would be complete and successful but when you go play the memorex, you will quickly find out how much time and money you have just wasted. The disc either does not play or plays partial and stops. I will never never buy memorex again. The money is not the issue, it is the time and effort spent that just burns me up.

These are perhaps the worst DVD's I've ever bought. They worked OK on my old burner (though I've had several fail since then). But when I replaced it after the old burner died these discs would not burn. I offered them to friends, but they wouldn't work on any of their burners either. I ended up tossing the spindle. Useless. Don't touch these things! TDK seems to be much more stable and reliable on a variety of burners.

I have an Epson printer than can print photo-quality right onto printable DVD's. These are great quality, bright white, and dependable.

Thought I was getting +r's, used these and hated them! Will not be read on Sony PS2 or a host of other systems. Bought a new burner cause My recording time slowed way down before I noticed (in type to small to be viewed) they were -r's.
Burn at 8X without a problem.......2004-10-23
I was writing full 4X with my Pioneer DVR-106 with no issues at all. I recently got the Pioneer DVR-108 with the firmware patch, and now burn at 16X (8-9X actual) with Nero with no problems at all. I've gone through 200 of these and have I never produced a single coaster. They only issue I've had was about 5% of them would have a little bit of video glitches/pixelation. I bet it's my cheezy DVD player tough. I've given the 'pixelized' ones away and everyone has always reported that they've played perfectly.

Out of the pack of 100 I bought, about 5 wouldn't burn and about another 5 would have artifacts and glitches in the video. I never had a problem when using them for data backup. I have a Mac Super Drive (PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-105) and use DVD Studio Pro, Fast DVD Copy and Toast 6.0. I would recommend these. Just make sure you update all of your firmware and make sure your burner is compatible.
