The product manual for my DVD Recorder recommended these discs. These discs are great, I wish they sold them in 100 packs. I will be buying these discs again and again. I never argue with success. Sony no baloney.

The item is practicable and of decent quality,
but the vendor really screwed me over for the shippping costs: I paid for expedited 2-6 day service, and it ended up taking longer than two weeks, and no apologies or refunds for the shipping were forthcoming from the bastard vendor.
Nothing makes me angrier than to be dicked around like this, and it gives Amazon.com a bad name.
I give him the worst rating, and would advise Amazon to consider revoking his permission to continue as an Amazon vendor.

Returned Sony blank media to J&R.
Stutters/freezes in many DVD players.
Recorded in Pioneer DVR-220s and Sony GX7.

Previously used Memorex, Verbatim discs with few to no problems. Many TDK discs start to skip or cause "unable to read" messages in my PC and my PS2 right toward the ends of movies. Been having to see many movies over to see what happens. Bad. Stay away.

These are great DVD+R discs. I have had trouble with others, such as Memorex in some players. The TDK ones, as well as Sony, work perfectly. I run a very high end PC, so I have no issues with the data speed transfer and write, which is the usual cause of the poor DVD performance post-burn and failed burns. All I buy now is Sony and TDK, and couldn't be happier.

I purchased a TDK external Indi DVD burner and tried several brands of DVD's. The burner has been flawles with all brands of DVDs that I used (TDK, Memorex, Verbatin). However, I have had problems with Memorex CD-Rs in the past and have noticed that the Memorex DVD's are somewhat transparent (very noticeable when you use a marker on the front) which probably does not bode well for long term life. I have burned over 50 of the TDK DVD's without any problems and have played them in a variety of DVD players without any problems. TDK has very good reputation among DVD enthusiasts and the Indi burner is a CNET editor choice (and the Sony is not). Perhaps the other reviewers here had other problems that were not really the result of bad media or hardware.

I agree with the previous review... have had problems with TDK discs, where Memorex and Sony have no problems at all.
Recently bought the TDK burner and had problems. Customer service was no help, so I replaced it with a Sony, and all is fine (using Sony and Memorex discs). Tried to use some TDK discs in the Sony burner, and now have 20 coasters (out of a 25 pack)!
I will not be buying TDK again.

Complete junk!.......2007-10-29
I had used some DVD+RW discs from Memorex (bought in a 5-disc pack) which I was quiet satisfied with. I recorded continuously on those discs for about 100 times or so, until they could not be used anymore, my DVD player could not read anything written in them anymore.
Then, I bought the 25-pack of DVD+RW from Memorex, and it has been a complete mess ever since. I have used the first 10 discs and only in 1 of them I was able to record!!! Forget about re-writing. I could barely make these discs readable elsewhere. Money totally wasted!

I have purchased many single pack DVD+RW of the Memorex brand. So far I haven't gotten any of them to work. I spend 2 hours trying to format them only to get an error message at the end. I was able to write to them at first, but never able to read them again. Other DVD+RW brands work, so I know it's not my drive.

i have too many of these spindles, non has failed to date. Simply a great product, for backups, movies, DVDs...
i use them instead of the DVD-R. the price is the same and the value is much greater

Memorex used to have a fine, stable product that was reliable. However, the undisclosed change in manufacturers from Infodisc Technology to Indian made Moser Baer India Ltd. has yielded a product that I will no longer use. The newer media has an impossibly high failure rate. In a recent pack of 25, only 2 were readable. I for one will no longer purchase Memorex DVD+RW media.
Frist it was good, then it was bad........2005-02-23
I bought some Memorex Dvd+rws a few months ago and they worked great. I used them in my Go video R6640 to recored stuff off my tivo,and I did not have a bad one in the bunch. I was starting to run low so I got a new 25 pack (paid $30). These new ones looked a little diffrent, the spindle had a gold wrapper, but they were still memorex Dvd+rws, they worked well before so why not buy them again. Boy was that a mistake the new ones did'nt work well at all, I went thru 5 of them trying to get them to work, nothing would record on them. I thought It was my recorder at first then I used one of the old disks to record and it worked fine. I don't know what memorex did but I won't be buying them again. I see the new ones are made in Taiwan, I don't know where the old ones were made. Now I'll see if can get a refund from Best Buy or a least an exchange.
Worked ok with my Plextor PX-712A at 4X .......2005-01-04
I bought these for data backup purpose. Burned the first 2
discs for 8 GB of data with Easy CD/DVD creator 6 without any
problem. It was burned at 4X through out.
I also tried to use DVD decrypter (a shareware) to copy a 7.4
GB movie to the 3rd disc. Oberviously, without compression it
will not fit to this single layer disc. The copy was also
performed at 4x, it errored out when ran out of space. But for
the portion that did get copied over, it was playable on my 2
year old Sony DVD player.
Oberviously my sample size is still small. Will post a
follow up if problem surfaces, otherwise, the rating
from me stays at 5 stars.
