The price is right even if I had to pay for shipping. I have no complaints about the recording quality of these CD's and a black sharpie pen writes very nicely on them. The only problem that I have is a comment for the Verbatim company. The only indication that these CD's are Verbatim is a paper sticky label affixed on the outside of the container. Verbatim does not emboss their name anywhere on the CD itself (like they do on some other blank CD's that they make)...And even though the quality of the CD recording is good, I can not enjoy the praise of my friends that I use quality CD blank media,since Verbatim's name is no where embossed on the CD. I am assuming by honest marketing from Amazon and friends that these blank CD's are in fact Verbatim and not just some no-name brand.(Based upon a white sticky paper label)

Don't be hornswaggled! These CD's do not work with lightscribe though they do show up when you search for lightscribe media.

I have always bought verbatim cdrs for their quality. I have burnt a couple of thousand cds in my years and maybe just got about 30 coasters, and that could be due to my burner. My first choice will always be verbatim.

I've only been burning CDs a little over a year. I started with the Sony brand thinking I was getting a high quality product. However, I had numerous burn failures and/or playback problems. So I checked the reviews on Sony CD-Rs. Those reviews led me to switch, and I chose Verbatim which in general seemed to be favorably rated. I bought this spindle of 100 and just used the last one. 100 of 100 of the CDs successfully burnt and played. So I ordered my second Verbatim spindle. As far as my experience with Verbatim goes, I've been VERY satisfied.

Handy arts & crafts supplies; useless as CDRs.......2007-09-24
Summary: FAIL.
These disks are the flakiest media I've ever bought -- on average, only 1 out of 5 produced a readable disk. (And no, there's nothing wrong with my CD burner; I tested it.) If you're hoping to actually burn CDRs, look elsewhere.
On the up side, the spindle is perfectly functional (I'm using it to store all my other CDRs), and the bad disks can be used as coasters, trivets, frisbees, shims for leveling wobbly tables, and interesting microwave experiments. (WARNING: the sparks are pretty, but THIS COULD FRY YOUR MICROWAVE. I recommend keeping a thrift-store spare around for microwaving non-food items. Also entertaining are incandescent light bulbs, steel wool, and Irish Spring deodorant soap.)
I made an amusing set of wind chimes out of the rejects (as an added bonus, sunlight flashing off the disks keeps birds off my patio), but I'll definitely not be buying Verbatim digital media in the future.
