Designed to hold compact speakers weighing no more than 4 pounds, the stands are unobtrusive yet elegant, with a slim grey and black profile (grey post/black base) that fits comfortably amidst most modern furnishings. Listeners can choose to raise their speakers between 30 and 40 inches from the floor, depending on where they like to listen to movies and music (the best speaker height is typically at ear level). Aesthetic-minded users will appreciate the stands' cable management system, which hides the unsightly speaker wires within the posts to ensure an uncluttered look. In addition, the units are stable whether located on hardwood or carpeting thanks to the stands' stylish four-point steel bases.
The SAT ZERO stands include three separate adapters to accommodate the most popular speaker brands.

Cheap materials, poor weilding........2005-10-08
It does the job, but its incredibly unsturdy. The welding broke off of both of my stands when i was attaching the screw in the outerpost to keep my my stand extensions up, so i know it's not just a one time incident. I wish I didn't order these, albeit the cheap price.
excellent stands for its price.......2005-09-27
Not knowing much about speaker stands, I did some research on Google, eBay, and Amazon on what looks, feels, and works best for any satellite speakers. Mine are surrounds from my Onkyo 570 HTIB (refurbished from Shop Onkyo). I finally decided on these stands because I read some great things about OmniMount. Its presentation is very classy (at least in the photos!), they're not cheap (cheapest I found was here on Amazon), and they don't look cheap either.
It arrived today in a huge shipping box with lots of air bubbles. The actual product itself is neither heavy or big. It's very simple: 2 rods, two relatively heavy stands (a sort of sandy, matte black finish), and some bolts, screws, and what-not. You just screw the rods onto the plus-shapped stands (4 legs), mount your speaker to the top of the rods, and you're done! My speakers don't have screw holes; rather, they have screw plates that mount onto a screw that sticks out of the wall. So I just unscrewed one of the screws that hold the plate, put on the vertical side of the L adapter that came with the stands, and screwed both back onto the speaker. Then I attach the horizontal end of the L adapter onto the top of the rod (it's just a screw hole), and I'm done. I tried feeding my 16-gauge wires from the bottom of the rods, but they got jammed somewhere inside, so I'll need to run some thin wires from the top, tie them to the speaker wires, and pull them up (instead of unplugging the long wires from the receiver).
Even with the wires showing, the stands look great! I saw some glass stands elsewhere, but was afraid I'd crack them. These are very contemporary, simple, minimalistic, made with durable material, and are perfect for my cheapo-but-still-awesome-sounding Onkyo system.

Great stands for black speakers.......2007-01-01
I bought some Ascend Acoustics speakers - the larger size units, to make a two-channel system. I decided to go with these stands, as they make the speakers look good - like studio monitors, I guess.
I couldnt get lead shot conveniently, so I filled each with two containers of copper BBs, which worked perfectly for weighing down the bottom. I used blu-tak poster type adhesive in five small balls to adhere the speakers, and while a large force would knock them off, even if the speaker/stand units fell onto the ground, likely all would remain affixed.
These stands are very sturdy, high quality, yet simple and nice. i wish they would put a bit more weight in the bottoms from the factory, but then again, shipping would be more expensive.

Overpriced and understrength.......2007-11-17
These will not hold anywere near the rated 10 pounds without 'drooping'. I questioned the design when I first saw them advertised, but saw several good reviews so went ahead and bought them. DON'T Be fooled! They may work great for some little PC type speakers that weigh a couple pounds, but when tasked with holding an 8 pound speaker, they just drooped, no matter how tight the ball fitting. Don't waste your money on this unless you have really light speakers. I am very disappointed because I've had good luck with some of Omnimount's other products. Also the included hardware was junk! Had to go to the hardware store to get decent mounting hardware.
Expected better.......2007-10-06
Neat idea and I like their size. I probably should have read more details on it but I didn't realize it was only one mount when I bought it so I needed to go back and buy another one. Just tried installing them only to realize the hardware kits from the two mounts was different and the hardware is *incredibly* weak (stripped both screws without even noticing.
Strong Mount but it's a single (order two...).......2007-09-27
I researched the multiple speaker mounts available and decided on the OmniMount 10.0 - wall mount version in black. First, I mistakenly expected the product to be sold as a pair of mounts. I ordered one, and of course, a single mount arrived. I've ordered the second one, which is on the way. Now, for the product itself. It comes with plenty of hardware and mounting options, which makes it very versatile. I needed the keyhole mount option, which worked well. Other than being sold as a single, the only drawback I'd mention is the ability to tighten the mount with a speaker in place. The directions want you to mount it so the Allen head screw used for tightening and adjustment is on the bottom. If you mount a speaker of any size, tilting down, it tends to block access to the Allen screw. I'd suggest they include a LONG Allen wrench so it can be tightened from below a speaker. Otherwise, you need to squeeze your hand behind the speaker and use nimble fingers to tighten it (while holding the speaker with your other hand of course). It's a small space when the Allen screw is mounted on the bottom. Other than that, it's a fine mount, perfectly versatile and strong. Recommended.
These Speaker Mounts are Great !.......2007-01-11
At first wasn't sure if I should go with the store bought variety, but man were they expensive. I could tell right away from the packaging that they were cheaply built and they were all plastic. My speakers weigh in excess of 8 pounds so I had to go for quality, just didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. So I read some reviews about these mounts and they were all positive, thank you Amazon ! I ordered and installed them and I really like them. I had to drill directly into the hard plastic housing of my speakers but it was worth the effort, probably works a lot easier with wood speaker enclosures. Well to wrap things up they seem to be extremely sturdy. I would recommend these mounts to anyone. Hope this review helps anyone looking for a good set of speaker mounts.
Oh by the way, they are available in a multitude of sizes to handle small to large speakers.
Excellent speaker mount.......2006-02-23
I ended up buying 4 of these mounts for my Polk speakers (my front speakers weigh about 5.5 pounds and my surrounds are 3.5 pounds). The brackets are easy to mount on the wall, and easily attached to the speakers themselves. They allow for easy articulation of the speakers, which is nice for tweaking the sound in your room. My only complaint (and the only reason I am giving 4 stars instead if 5) would be the drywall anchors supplied with the kit were lousy and I ended up using my own in the one instance where I did not attach directly to a wall stud.

Perfect height for optimal listening!!!!!!!.......2007-12-18
I've bought many of these, aand evertime I do, I'm just as happy as my first set. Great deal, great product.....
Holds My Speakers.......2007-04-06
The stands come with a small and a large "shelf" that the speakers sit on and I was able to fit my Sony SS-MB150H speakers perfectly onto the larger shelf. They seem pretty sturdy and heavy, but for those with toddlers, they are NOT toddler-proof. While you can mount the speakers to the stands if the speakers have a pre-threaded nut in the bottom of the case, mine did not and I rely heavily on gravity. The stand does allow for mounting though, so this is more a knock on my speakers than the stand (and I could drill them, but that can't be good). These stands are cheap and do everything I wanted perfectly, so I gave them 5 stars.

Decent speaker stands.......2007-03-24
They do alright, easy to setup and relatively sturdy. Carpet floor pegs are a little sucky, but what of it!?
Definitely good overall for price!
Great stands for the price.......2004-03-17
This is great pair of speaker stands for mid sized bookshelf speakers. IMHO, they'd look big for small satelites like Bose or Klipsch Quintet. I'm using them for my Polk RTi4 but from the construction, I'm sure it'll handle the RTi6 just fine. Sanus rates the stands for up to 25lbs.
PROs
- Nice solid steel construction with a heavy base for stability and powder coated (much better than regular paint)
- 2 sets of top plates are provided so you can pick the best fit for your speakers or even swap them if you get new speakers of a different size
- Smaller base footprint compared to similar stands
- 3-point claw base helps further isolate plus you can run the speaker wires under them for a neat setup
- Speaker cable can run inside the tube
- Top plates are very slim but strong
- Very easy assembly (2 screws and a few isolation pads, spikes/studs are provided but optional for use)
- Fantastic value for the price (at least from Amazon)
CONs
- Limited adjustability of the spikes (only matters if you're using them to "level" the stand on thicker carpets)
- Top plate isolation pads are very tiny and thin. Not sure if they'll last.
For the price you're paying at amazon (~50 w/ free shipping), it doesn't get better than this.
Solid, attractive stands.......2003-08-29
These are very solid, high quality stands with an attractive black epoxy finish. The bases appear to be cast iron and are very heavy. The columns are hollow and constructed to hide the speaker wires. I have a pair of Wharfedale Super 7's in the Rosewood finish sitting on them and they isolate the speakers very well.
