I bought it about a month ago. Used it at home hocking to a TV and on road trip to Florida. It worked fine and played all the disks I fed it. Nothing to complain until it suddenly failed two days ago. It made a bad smell and won't give any sign of life again. I will come back and tell you how good J&R's service is.

Got the DVD player few days back. The picture quality is extremely good. I liked the sound quality too. Plus it has both the NTSC & PAL color system in it. Came loaded with lot of accessories. Coby could have done better with the build quality of the DVD Player. It comes with a cover that holds the DVD Player on the back of the driver's seat or the front passenger seat, but the quality of the cover is terrible. I don't expect it to last long. I got a feeling that it was meant for the 7" DVD Player. Having lot of problem pushing the unit in. Overall a excellent product. A must BUY !!!!!

This was very easy to install but it only really sits level when it's flush to the wall. When is pans out, it causes the tv to lean. I wish I had just bought the one that doesn't pan or tilt.

I have used this product on both my LDC TV in the bedroom and now have something like 10 at work for computer monitors. The home TV was tricky because of the weight causing a little give in the device causing the TV to be slighly angled. I got that work out after about 5 re-adjsutments. The mount was an earlier verion without the level. The ones at work work well. The one change I would like is the hole to be eliptical for adjustments without re-drilling the hole in the wall.

Razr V3 Holster.......2007-09-23
The best holster I had - phone faces in and easy to unclip to see who is calling. Holds phone safe and secure no matter what position. I bought a few for my friends too and they agree it is better than other holsters that don't secure the top of the phones.
Unfortunately I have switched phones to the V3xx and they do not make this holster for my new phone. I have tried four holsters that do not have the triangular shape that secures the top ... and the phone keeps falling out the top at the slightest swivel. I wish they made this model of holster for the V3xx.
So I caution against holsters that do not secure the top of the phone - becaues if you are like me and you move about (or bend to pick something up) ... the phone will fall out the top!!

For my company I have purchased several different styles of clips for the Razr phones and by far this is the most liked design. With some of the past designs the phones were easy to knock out of the holder, but with this design it securely holds the phone in place.

You can't beat this price. This holder works great. You must remove your phone before answering it. Make sure you put the phone in with the camera facing the clip. I put it in backwards at first. The phone won't stay in that way.

Cell Phone Swivel Kits.......2007-11-02
I have an ATT 8525 phone with a belt swivel holder. The plastic belt clip portion of the phone holder lasted a week. I found these replacement swivels on Amazon and thought I would need a lot of replacements at my rate of use and breakage, so I ordered a few. I have had the same one now for almost 2 months and no sign of wear or tear on it. I will keep the others just in case, but these universal clips seem to be the answer.

I have to agree with Georgie Girl - you can hear the DVD spinning
while you are watching a movie. It makes a constant chirping noise.
You might be able to stand it if you keep the volume on medium,
and the movie has a lot of music. I'd recommend the Initial
IDM-1295 instead. I got it for $170.00 from B&H Photo, and both
the sound and picture are great!

I ordered this Portable DVD after doing some research. I wanted it for work and also for roadtrips with my family.
The sound was good, it didn't skip when moved around. That was aboutall the positives I give this. The screen is not clear, a bit on the fuzzy side, the headphones that come with this are a joke, you can hear all sorts of background noise. The stop function promised to keep you place in the movie, but it never did. HOWEVER, the biggest problem was that you can hear the DVD spinning in the case while you are watching a movie.
I really can't recommend this because it is an inferior product. Lot's of promises from the manufacturer but in all a disappointing product.

When i first received this player, after the first 3 weeks the screen just went blank but Amazon was great and sent me another one right away. this new one ive had for 3 weeks and hasnt gone bad yet. i like that everything is included (remote, headphones, and a little case). i recommend this dvd player for anyone that has an overnight job like me.

This little player is great. It is kind of loud when it spins up, but its not all that bad. The picture is fantastic, sound is also suprisingly good quality, it also has all the features of higher priced ones. I love that it is a swivel screen and comes with a case to hang it on the back of the seat with. it even has audio and video in, I am going to try to hook up the PS2 in the car and see if it works, which I am pretty sure it will. I happy enough with this product that I bouight 2 of them one to keep each kids quite in the car on long trips. Hope this helps you select your player.

Hey there this was my 13th portable dvd player I buy one every other month or so, after they get a lil scratched I sell them. Anyways im very hard on these and this held up better then most, not to mention the eople below me have oviously never bought a portable dvd player before. This unit does have a Rewind and Fastforward feature you just have to hold down the sceen skip feaature button 3sec's to access the 2-32x speeds. Most portables dont have the resume feature. Like i said i have have quit a few portable and i would reccomend almost any Coby DVD player there normally the best of the bunch, on durability and sound. This unit has about 3hours of battery life and i have at one point left it playing on loop plugged in for over 78hours.
Read up on what you buy ALWAYS but bear in mind some people are never happy. Good Luck

This machine was okay, but I thought I could do better for my money. The noise of the disk running was so loud when it was sitting on my lap, that I had to turn the headphones all the way up. That did not seem like a good, long-term solution. Also, the swivel and the case were very cheap plastic. It felt like it would not last long. In the end I returned it and bought a more expensive, but hopefully longer lasting Sony swivel screen. So far it is heads above the Coby.

I was very excited to get this DVD player for my wife. She used her old one all the time and this seemed to have comparable features and a good price tag. Unfortunately, sometimes you get what you pay for. The first unit I purchased broke after 3 months of use. It would not recognize discs anymore. I got a replacement and now 3 months later the brand new unit (not refurbished) is doing the same thing! Coby will take it back for limited warranty service (even though I am 3 days outside the 90 day window), but they are making me pay for shipping to them and then I have to enclose an $18 money order for return shipping. But what are they going to do, send me a 3rd unit that will break? I am very upset about this and want to warn you that if you plan on using this on any sort of regular basis, beware: it will die. So long, Coby!

Shopped around ALOT before I bought this at Best Buy (179.99) and included a free extra battery with AC charger. This unit has it ALL:

Got this bad boy for Christmas. (A gift from me to me) I totally love it! This is my first portable DVD player, so I don't have much to compare it to.
Pros: The big screen is great, clear, bright and adjustable. The video input is a great feature. I love the magnetic hold downs and the swivel and lay flat screen! The USB and CARD readers are a nice touch, although not something I will use much. 2-3 hour battery life is great, and since it includes the cigarette lighter plug, you can use it on a plane or car for as long as you like.
Cons: The buttons feel a little cheap and plasticy, and as the disc slows down as the laser reaches the outer parts of the disc (towards the end of the movie), the player emits a high pitch whine that can be annoying. 4.5 hour battery charge time seems really long.
Conclusion: I paid $180 for it, and feel its worth every penny, as I could not find anything else above 7 inches for less than $200. It is a lot of gadget for the money.

I bought this mount for a 26inch LCD. This mount is NOT designed to hold a 26" set. It was sagging under the weight of the TV with the everything tightened to the maximum. I would not recommend this mount!

I purchased one of these units to mount my 23" LCD TV on the wall in my kitchen. The price was great considering the extension and flexability of the mount, but I don't think I would buy it again. My two main concerns include:
1) The overall stiffness of this unit is very poor. It sags significantly under the weight of my 23" TV, and wobbles quite a bit if you push on the TV. I wound up placing a wooden wedge between the mount and the wall to compensate for the sag, so the TV would be level (left to right).
2) The vertical angle adjustment (how much the front of the TV faces up or down) uses detents that are way too coarse. Again, because of the sag, the face of my TV wound up pointing slightly downwards. I tried to adjust it to be level (in the front-to-back direction), but the next detent made the TV point way to far upwards. So I'm just living with it pointing slightly downwards. More expensive mounts that I've seen have a continuous adjustment for this (no detents).
I kept the unit because I occasionally move the TV, and I really liked the quick release on the wall, but if I had to do it again I think I'd go with a stronger mount.

You can never have too many outlets in the kitchen or bathroom. I saw this for $22 plus shipping on QVC; thought it was a good idea, but wasn't going to pay that much for it. I can't attest to the surge protection, but the swivel and number outlets makes this perfect for almost any small place.

I am used to a floor surge protector that sits flat compared to this which is made to plug-in to the wall directly. This was just what I needed to avoid having cords and a giant power strip on the floor, while having enough outlets to plug in my laptop, floor lamp, massage chair, etc. The only negative I have with it is that it is designed to use both top and bottom outlets, with plastic prongs inserting into the top outlet for stability. The stability is good, but my wall switch was on the top outlet so I have to get them re-wired for this outlet strip to work on the switch as I had wanted.

Audiovox does not supply the cable you need to connect your portable DVD player to a television set. This means you have to buy, separately, a male-to-male RCA cable just to watch a DVD on this player on TV.

Yes, it does have digital picture frame software, but the screen resolution and display quality are really poor. If grainy, offhue display are okay (and for kids to watch in the car is what I'll use this for), then this unit may be acceptable. But if you want to show off decent photos, look elsewhere.

First, the product description is incorrect. The product does not come with a "Car Headrest Mounting Bag and carrying case." There is a headrest mounting *strap* (not bag) and a separate carrying case. On the bright side, the lack of bag makes it easier to change DVDs while mounted. I'm also unsure what "complete car cabling with car adapter" means. The unit comes with a cigarette lighter plug-in (car adapter) for auto use. Any other "car cabling" that would make it "complete" is a mystery to me.
The Good:
The price. This is the least expensive DVD with swivel screen and included battery that I've been able to find. The product does play DVDs, music, and photos as advertised. The carrying bag is cheap, but appreciated. Why don't more manufacturers include at least this simple accessory? I haven't tested the battery life yet but if it truly lasts 4 hours that will be an excellent feature.
The Bad:
The battery is external. I know that most are external, but the product description should be upfront about this. When playing DVD's at low volume you can hear the DVD spinning noise. Resolution for viewing pictures is poor, and loading time is poor (with a card right out of a 6 MP camera). If you like to wait and hear a buzz while your photo loads, this is your photo viewer. I assume if I resized the photos they would load more quickly. Why would I want to do that? The remote is a nice feature for auto use, but it would be nice if a "power standby" (off) feature could be activated from the remote (other players do this). While you can navigate a DVD using the remote you need to reach over to turn the power off when you are done. You cannot turn it off using the remote. This is a pain for a parent controlling the DVD player from the front seat. The manual is poorly written, but what one isn't these days?
Overview:
You may wonder why I'm giving it 3 stars even with so many complaints. I was looking for an inexpensive DVD player that had a swivel screen, an included battery, and that could be mounted on a headrest in a car. This was one of the few options available that had all of these features--although via a headrest strap rather than a bag. I have only owned the product two days and cannot comment on its durability.
just got it.......2007-07-04
I just received this unit after waiting 8 weeks on back order. So far it does everything I had hoped for. It doesnt say it in the spec's but I just put in a dvd-r data disk that I made to back up my photos and it started playing a slide show of them. Looks like a great way to show photos to friends. It does the same thing when I connected a 4 gig thumb drive to it with photos on it.
