We had this installed above an LCD tv which is hung on a sunroom wall. It looks good and keeps the cable box up out of the way and the cords are hidden. It needs to be installed into a stud so you need to be aware of that. We are very pleased.
Modern.......2007-08-23
We purchased two of these wall mount shelves to support the components under the Plasma. The problem is side by side mounted into the 16 inch center studs they do not allow the components to set properly. One 10 inch by 4 foot glass shelve across the mounts gives you a very nice modern looking component shelve. Worked out great. They might work better as a stack if you have the room and your plasma is high enough.

I bought this arm to place a display on a wall near my informal dinner table. I wanted to use this display to show slide shows of my family photos, video streaming from Netflix, and occasional web browsing in the kitchen. I drilled a hole in the wall and connected the display to an old computer on a shelf in the bathroom on the other side. I paid extra for this arm because of the height adjustable feature. I'm glad I did because it makes the display a lot more useful. I could extend and lower it to almost desktop height and use the dining table for my bluetooth keyboard/mouse. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to browse without sitting on the table
The only way to go for under $200.......2007-11-03
I bought a $30 LCD wall mount on eBay for my HP W2007. It worked, but it was only limited to swivel and tilt movement. After a couple of weeks, the low price started revealing itself. I had to readjust the tension in the tilt every time I adjusted it. Some days I would've like to move the height of the monitor, but I couldn't.
I just had to buy something with more features and better quality.
I was going to buy this Lx Wall Mount Arm originally, but I thought I didn't need all of its features. I was wrong. The height feature is very useful, and I love the landscape and portrait modes.
Installation was very easy. I don't think an instruction manual was necessary. I bought the Wall Mount Bracket Kit because its larger surface area allows the weight to be distributed.
I have my Wall Mount Arm mounted on drywall using 75lb drywall anchors. I needed #8 washers because the screws needed for the drywall anchors are too small for the large mounting holes.
My only gripe with this product is the cable organizers. I personally wouldn't use it because it bends the cables a bit more than I would like them to bend. Additionally, I don't like the cheap plastic that holds them within the arm.
This is a great product and should be your only choice of Wall Mound Arm for your LCD monitor if you plan to spend under $200.
Don't go cheap, you'll regret it!

After researching many types and prices, I kept comming back to this one. I'm using it with a Dell 2005FPW 20.1" monitor that weighs 12 lbs. without the stand. It has the VESA mount and it plugged right onto this arm, no problem! I mounted the arm on a mobile cart that allows me to move the monitor to several locations and the arm allows the monitor to be placed in several different positions with no effort! I'm extreamly happy. Delivery was a blink of an eye! It came so fast I wasn't even expecting it, and when it arrived on my doorstep, I wondered what it was!!! Five stars on product and purchase! *****

Ergotron seems to make very high quality products. They aren't the cheapest, but this product seems very well engineered and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a fully articulating wall mounted monitor solution. I'm using it with a 20" LCD, and it works and looks great.

While this product may seem a trifle expensive compared to some other monitor arms that are available, I find it quite worth the money. I first bought this arm for my monitor at work. When I received it, I was quite impressed with the quality and have subsequently bought one for my computer at home. It is very sturdy, easy to assemble and easy to position. I am 100% satisfied with my purchase, the product is great and the delivery was excellent.

this was great for the monitor. but trying to find screws the color of the arm was very difficult. we ended up using just chrome colored screws where black would have been so much better.

Brillant design, coupled with top quality parts with a very attractive price tag. I'm still trying to figure out how they could do it. Anyway, I'm totally satisfied, it's doing more than I hoped for and it really looks like it's going to last.

Best Articulated TV Mounting Arm On Earth.......2007-03-09
This design is well thought-out. Gives great control of angles and positions. I got mine because I live in an RV and need to put my 15" LCD TV out of the way when I'm not watching it. I wanted to extend the TV out and aim it toward the kitchen so I can watch while I'm cooking. This arm allows me to do that. Very high quality and choices of mounting hardware to suit my situation where the walls needed the extra wide track mount to make it secure.

Great Mount for a Plasma.......2007-01-15
This was so easy to install. The end product looks great. I installed it over 3 wood studs and it held my full weight of 150 pounds with no problem. You will definitely need another person to lift the television onto the bracket. The tilt function works great and is so simple that you can change the tilt with one hand from the front of the television. There is a lot of different size bolts included for mounting all kinds of televisions.
I would definitely reccomend this to anyone looking for a simple effective mount for their plasma.

Weak screws..........2007-03-14
It was easy to install and I like the low profile. It appears to be strong, but my confidence in it got busted when one of the four screws that attach the horizontal plate to the wall simply broke while tightening, leaving about 3/4th of the screw inside the stud. I had to start the installation all over after relocating it on the studs - this time with a set of screws that I bought from Home Depot. I will be keeping an eye on it for several weeks to gain some confidence. I have mounted a 42", 75lbs TV on it, so it will be a disaster if it comes crashing down. If that happens, I will let everyone here know.
Also, the theft-deterrent locking is misleading. It only means that they have a "special" penta head screw that will lock the TV in place. I don't really find anything special about the screwdriver. I am sure it would be part of any smart burgler's toolbox.

I bought this mount and used for a LCD mount in my office... Does a great job of keeping things close to the wall (low profile). It's made for larger screens and just sticks out of the sides with my 27" monitor (w/ built-in side panel speakers), so be weary and measure the width of your device. works great. Heavy guage steel, Horizontal mount only, no Theft-resistant security. Just mount the plate, mount the brackets to the back of the monitor, and hang. simple.
