Leslie Dame's misrepresented warranty.......2007-12-25
My media center started to warp; Leslie Dame would not stand behind their products by sending me a replacement. The warranty information states "This product comes with a limited 1-year manufacturer's warranty against product defects." When I called the company, they have changed their warranty to 2 weeks on MDF items and 3 weeks for solid oak. I am concerned that all the on-line stores are still promoting their lies. Leslie Dame does not stand behind their warranty for manufacture defects. Please Do Not Buy Their Products!
CD Cabinet - Love it!.......2007-11-17
We love our new CD cabinet. The storage capacity is large while the footprint of the cabinet is fairly small. We purchased the dark oak version and think it looks great. Good construction. Carefully packaged and delivered on time.
Love the cabinet, but shipping damage a pain.......2007-11-09
The cabinet is well constructed, looks great, and works very nicely for storing our DVDs and VCR tapes. The only downside was the shipping. The first cabinet was damaged in shipping and was not easy to repack in the box. The second cabinet also arrived with some damage, but was not so damaged that it was worth the hassle of repacking it to ship it back. To AVthing in its place's credit, they were very responsive to the shipping problems and also gave us a partial refund for our trouble. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase.
Surprising Quality.......2007-09-13
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this piece. Although we had a slight scare when we discovered that the delivery man had left it sitting outside during a rain shower, after I unpacked it and dried it off everything was fine. Very good construction and very nice finish on the wood. I've already filled it up and am considering buying another one.

Good quality, solid wood media storage cabinet .......2007-12-14
This cabinet was pretty much as advertised, and about what I expected. The exterior of the cabinet is attractive and appears to be well made. I was somewhat surprised at the number of pieces to sort out, and the interior shelves were not finished to the same level of quality as the main part of the cabinet. All the wood was solid - no veneers or press-wood. It is a good value for the money.

We've had one of these cabinets for about a year. We kept DVDs, VHF tapes, and CDs in it for a while during which time the adjustable shelves helped maximize space utilization. Now it is full of just DVDs. It easily stores 240 DVDs, seems to handle the weight well and is a nice looking piece of durable furniture.

Just received the cabinet, packing was superb..no damage of any kind.
The cabinet it self is well made, the wood pieces were well matched in wood color and grain, it is a great looking piece of oak furniture and goes well with the rest of our living room oak furniture.

This is the best all-around media storage cabinet i have owned in over 25 years of storing media. It's outside design is great. The shelving design inside is flexible so you may use it to hold CDs, DVDs, Videos, including those "non-standard sized special edition sets" if you like. It's durable. I've bought six of these and placed two in 3 of the rooms in my house, each of which have different furniture/spacing availability and I've found that these are the right overall size for all of my conditions.

This is a great DVD storage cabinet. Everything fit very well and was easy to put together. It looks great and works very well. I like having the DVD's behind doors so they don't collect dust and having the glass doors makes it easy to see what is there.

OK - Minor Problems.......2007-12-10
This is decent and cheap storage cabinet for CDs and DVDs. The only problem is it is very top heavy when the doors are open and the shelves are empty. Once you have loaded up the lower shelves it stabilizes and all is well.

A little disappointing.......2007-09-22
A little disappointing, not bad but do not put the rails on the bottom because you will have to call to get the bottom replaced - the pegs go right through. The lock looks good but is basically useless, magnets work better. Replacing the door knobs was a must. Somebody else wrote the same things but I had to see it for myself, they were right. Overall, it is nice having all my dvds in the same place but I doubt I would recommend this piece to anyone else, it's probably worth about $200.
Good Choice.......2007-05-28
I think this was a great choice for us, and we even did something a little different with the storage. See we are big gamers, and we were able to use a whole section of the door space and put our controllers, games, and anything else game related. Everything fit without a problem. And of course our ever growing dvd selection. The style is sleak and comfortable. The only con we had is the doors, you have to get a magnet type fix so that they will close properly.
Outstanding storage capacity.......2006-12-09
There aren't that many DVD cabinet like this one, with doors containing shelves where DVDs can be stored.
Assembly instructions are easy to understand, and it didn't take more than 1 hour to put everything together. None of the pieces were missing, however mounting the bottom plate proved to be a bit difficult. I had to use a hammer to get it into place. Aside from that, building the cabinet was very easy.
The overall quality is good, although for this price you can't expect solid wood. Once assembled the cabinet is taking very little space. I didn't experience any of the problems reported with the lock. In my opinion it is important to pay extra attention when assembling the unit so that everything is tight and adjusted properly.
The reason why I don't give it 5 stars is for the door knobs. They are very cheap wood knobs and my 20 months son managed to pull one off the screw. We ended up buying a pair of new knobs at the local hardware store.
Overall a good cabinet that'll provide ample storage for your DVDs.
SNAFU from the beginning.......2006-11-08
I bought this storage cabinet because it would hold all of my media and I would be able to keep my toddler out of the cabinet. Three separate, necessary parts were missing and it took about a month to get them all here and get the unit together. (I had to get the retailer to intervene twice because the manufacturer was so unresponsive.) The unit looks nice, but the locking door doesn't quite line up with the slot for the lock. My two-year-old pulled it open a few days after it was assembled, so we had to get an ugly childproof cabinet lock. Also, we did not put on the decorative pieces at the very bottom of the piece. They serve no purpose and place the full weight of the loaded cabinet on four 1" wide pieces of scrolled wood instead of the full base plate of the unit. I wouldn't buy it again and I can't send it back now that it's together and the boxes were trashed.
