Shaky Stand, Broken Useless Door.......2007-12-03
The product arrived, and took me about an hour to finally assemble.
Problems:
1. The stand itself is a bit shaky, and can only take 50lbs of weight per shelf. My Onkyo 805 receiver is 61 lbs.. I placed it on the lowest level, and crossing my finger that it works
2. With the receiver inside, the door won't close.. (problem to many, but not to me because...)
3. The door was completely broken when it arrived. The frame separated from the glass. i had to buy glue and glue the two together myself. After 2 more hours of doing that, and fiddling with it, i gave up and threw the door away. Now i have an open cabinet, with the receiver sticking out.
4. Complicated to assemble. probably the most annoying assembly i've ever done with respect to furniture.
Positives:
1. doesn't look too bad. without the door it's still useable.
Sorry Bush.. the quality control is not acceptable.

this is a great cd cabinet if youre looking for something slim and small to fit into a tight space... it seems to be built very sturdy and it looks fantastic... the only downside is that it doesnt hold a ton of CDs... i read somewhere it holds about 130 of them (if they come in the standard packaging)... anyway its a fun piece of furniture that serves a pratical purpose and does it with style...

The overall look of the cabinet is very nice. However, it's top heavy and falls forward when you open the doors. It also doesn't have slots on the inside to insert your CDs. They fall over if the shelf is not completely full.

Only nitpicky things keep this from being 5 stars..........2007-03-10
Everything came in pretty good shape, except for a few minor scratches on the metal part of the doors, and a nick or two on the top plank. It's discreet and looks like normal wear and tear though, and it wasn't bad enough for me to send back and risk getting a worse one. The back cover doesn't fit as well as I think it should, but I got it on there. Some of the cam locks were a bit hard to turn, and one set of doors doesn't match up exactly, even after a bit of tweaking.
All in all, it looks great assembled, and it's just the right height and look for my living room. I put it together myself, which only gets difficult when you have to put the top part on (but it can be done). It sounds like it has a few problems, but like I said before, it wasn't enough to make me send it back. It's sturdy, and looks like it'll last a while. A good investment worth the price, especially when you see all of the more expensive plain-jane ones that are out there. You'll definitely get some great compliments on it!
