Nice kit with probably more than you need.......2007-12-24
This kit is a must if you are adding an HDTV. I only used one of the HDMI cables, but the other will be handy if I add an HD DVR later. All of the cables are top quality.
No Brainer! HDTV Made Easy!.......2007-11-27
I purchased this cable kit along with my Samsung 50" Plasma. The kit was very straight forward and I had everything I needed to get up and running. I was able to hook up my cable box and DVD player with each using one of the HDMI cables in the kit. I then hooked up my DVR with the component and audio cables. Just like that, I was done. I'm not too sure about the screen cleaner, but I guess it works fine. It got the finger prints from the installation off of my plasma. I guess time will tell how valuable it really is...
I would also like to mention that these cables seem to be very good quality. I have another HDMI cable from before that is very cheap looking/feeling compared to the ones in this kit. It is like hard plastic or something. These ones have a fabric like braided material on the outside. They almost look like the really high-end cables I saw at the local hi-fi store for hundreds of dollars. This kit is definitely a no brainer!
HDMI made easy.......2007-11-20
Hallelujah! Finally, someone with quality cables figured out how to make
HDMI installation easy. I recently installed my second plasma TV, in our
upstairs bonus room. The first had gone up about a year ago. With the first one, I thought I had everything I needed when I brought the TV home. OHHHH NOOOOOO! Three trips to Radio Shack and Best Buy later, (and another couple hundred bucks!) I finally had all the different cables and pieces I needed to get the sound, picture and all pieces hooked up and working together.
This time, I saw this kit on Amazon before we purchased the TV. We ordered it. The experience couldn¹t have been much different. BEFORE we had the TV, I had all the pieces I needed on hand to put it together. Two HDMI cables! Yes! And the CV, and the audio. They even throw in a little bottle of screen cleaner. So when the TV arrived, we were able to pop in the new Ratatouille DVD right off the bat and the kids (and I) were happy.
Excellent value for your cable dollar.......2007-11-20
This kit is a great idea, and is the most convenient way I've seen to get superb quality HDMI cabling for your home entertainment needs.
Convenience, however, is just part of the picture with these cables. These are serious cables. The sound quality is actually noticeably better than what I've gotten out of other cables, so much so that I'm planning to re-wire our downstairs set. I've got some knowledge of what makes a good cable, and my understanding is that there are three things that make a big difference, and these cables, in spite of a reasonable price point, have three things that you usually have to pay a lot more for:
1. All copper wire - and it's the high quality, solid center kind, so that makes the biggest difference in reducing sound distortion. Forget the "50% more copper" or "more copper than other cables" - you want 100% copper with a solid core.
2. Cable construction - these guys use the kind of organized cable structuring that much more expensive cable manufacturers use. Instead of just putting the wires in and twisting them, there is organized geometry in these cables that minimizes the magnetic spillover (and therefore, distortion) from one wire to another.
3. Not soldered connectors - solder can ruin an otherwise perfectly good cable, creating a "leap" for the signal that adds significant distortion. You do NOT want an HDMI cable with solder, even silver solder. It's not as good as these, no matter how much you're being overcharged for it.
These are the kinds of cable construction considerations that I've seen in some of the really high end stuff - some of which can get into thousands of bucks for cable. Not willing to go there, but this kit is a terrific deal for the money when it comes to quality, and you just can't beat the convenience. On the flip side, some of the biggest cable manufacturers do a great "sell" job, but don't meet the basic criteria outlined above for really superior quality. You'll see all kinds of claims, but read carefully. When they compare the quality of their image to conventional TV, that's a big watch-out. They should be comparing to other cable makers within the HDMI world. Of course it's better than conventional TV. It'd better be.

It is an attractive piece of furniture but the cd part didn't work. Soo Amazon replaced it with another one. That one didn't work either for the same reason. Amazon said they would return my money but when I considered that the radio and the turntable and the audio tape worked ok, for $200.00 and it looked good, perhaps I was expecting too much. Therefore I kept it even though it doesn't completely work.

I liked this product however please be aware that the sound quality isn't remotely as good as a modern stereo or home theatre system especially in the volume and bass department. I choose to hook up a couple of quality speakers to my unit which was easy and I really enjoy it now. However others might not feel that way. The actual unit is beautiful and very easy to use. I am happy with my purchase however please be warned that the sound quality/speakers it comes with are not that great.

It only takes 15 min to unpack and fully assemble. It has a low profile on the floor to save space. Its perfect for CDs, but not tall enough to use all the shelfs for DVDs. Overall it was a good buy.
A decent buy........2007-12-06
They are priced a little bit higher than they should be since they are so small. They ended up costing me about $60 each with shipping. I went to a local store and found full-sized black wire storage racks for $30 a few days after I bought these. You can't fit much on these except for media and very small objects. Also, the shelves that came with mine are slightly bent, and no matter how much I try to bend them back to being straight, they still look a bit crooked and off.

i bought it because it said 8 shelves. i wanted to use it specifically for dvds. i basically got 6 stand-up dvd shelves and one lay down dvd shelf. the other shelf is laying in my closet somewhere. i have two four shelf racks and those were so amazing i wanted a bigger one. i just wish all the 8 shelves were useable and would have loved to see a review that told me so before i spent $80 with shipping. (the two 4-shelf racks were $20 each at walmart)

Cons: Flimsy. I am amazed at how poorly the legs are attached to this rack. The slightest pressure will cause the leg stands to pop off and they have no threads to secure them back on.

Nice, inexpensive storage rack. Easy to assemble and seems sturdy. I think the feet are ugly - big and round. Also, I'm not fond of the white straps to anchor to the wall. I'll probably find something different if I decide to anchor the unit to the wall.

I love this product. It's exactly what it was advertised to be... it's very nice looking, nice wood finish, with a nostalgic look to it. If you've been looking for an entertainment system like this where you have the ability to connect it to auxillary speakers, this is for you. I have some expensive Bose speakers from some years ago that were sitting unused until I got this entertainment system. The sound is great! It's also very easy to use.

My wife Cathy brought a sizable collection of vinyl to our marriage and added to it from time to time, even though we didn't have a record player. When she saw one of these in a store, she knew what she wanted for her birthday.

Glanced at from across the room, the Crosley Conductor could be mistaken for an original. One might not even notice that the "tuning eye" on the illuminated radio dial is really a 2-digit LED display for the CD player, which is also disguised behind a faux metal finish. Come closer, and the truth is revealed. A miniature stereo headphone jack tries to go unnoticed below the tuning knob. The Compact DISC Digital Audio logo becomes apparent and one notices that the radio is strictly AM and FM. What were once band selector buttons on the AM/FM/Shortwave original are now the controls for the CD player and radio. Raise the lid and there's the 3-speed turntable with its much too modern tubular tonearm.
The AM radio sound is a close match for a meticulously restored tabletop tube radio. The speakers are more than adequate for AM radio and satisfactory for FM stereo, falling about midway between a low-end boombox and a Bose Wave Radio. Just don't expect them to reproduce the dynamic range of your most challenging CDs.
The operation of the record player takes a little getting used to. When you set the function switch to PHONO, the turntable just sits there. You must raise the tonearm from its rest and swing it slightly to the right. Once the turntable is in motion, you set the needle in the groove and at the end of the record, the turntable will stop by itself but doesn't return the tonearm to the rest. I don't have any way to measure the tracking force but it appears to be much lighter than a typical 1960s ceramic cartridge turntable.
Outputs on the back allow you to hook the Crosley to an external amp. There's also a set of hookups for speakers but you can only play through one pair at a time. I haven't sampled the sound through bigger speakers but its output of 5 watts per channel should provide decent fidelity through, say, a pair of lower-cost Bose or Boston Acoustic speakers.
As an occasional vinyl-spinner and everyday CD player and radio for a medium size room, the Crosley Conductor does the job with a pleasing retro appeal.
Nice cabinet but ..........2005-01-20
I was looking for a replica radio for the living room in my house that I'm decorating in the period the home was built. The entertainment center fit the bill exactly. It's hand rubbed wood cabinet and backlighted radio dial really make it look antique. The sound quality is decent. It's not overly loud nor does it have booming bass, but it's not tinny sounding either. The FM radio works very well. It picks up quite a few stations after extending the antenna wire fully. The CD player is very cheap however. You definately want to keep it away from little ones. The turntable works although, I had to tighten the spindle down before I could play a record on it. Again, it feels very cheaply made. I haven't tried the cassette player as I don't remember where my cassettes are. I rated it a 4 because it works and it looks very nice. For the money I spent on it, I expected the components to be of better quality. This particular unit comes in a couple of colors and Amazon has them broken into different products. You will find more reviews under one of the other colors.

Don't buy it........2007-12-08
I got this player because I really wanted to play some of my parent's old records, but I have been VERY disappointed with my purchase. It looks fantastic, and if that's all you're going for, then you should buy it immediately. If you want to play anything on it, then go for another player. The record player is made of the cheapest plastic possible. Mine broke after about a month and a half (of light use!). The radio worked well for about 2 months, but now it's 50% static, 50% music. I don't know if I just bought a "lemon" or what, but if you really want to buy this, I would definitely suggest keeping all of the boxes, wrapping paper, and receipts, because if you get one similar to mine, you're going to want to get your money back.

My Dad bought me this for Christmas(at my request). I'm building a house that is rustic in style and just had to have this to add to the illusion of a 'Log Cabin'! The sound quality is remarkable for a self contained unit. We chose this specific model because it'll hold 3 CD's.

My Crosley Celebrity Audio System.......2007-01-16
I do like the Crosley 3-Disc Entertainment Center overall because its compact size and it does 4 different things and its old nostalgic look. I do think they could improve on the cassette player part to be able to ff or rewind easier. The cassette player part seems very cheap. As far as the company I bought it from Seven Gifts. I had trouble by 1st getting the wrong item, then although they were glad to correct the problem by sending the corrected one. I waited about 3 or so wks without a word and when I called them back they said "Oh, didn't we do that yet?" "We thought it was taken care of." I said no and then waited almost another wk to get the right one and the label to return the wrong one. I will think twice before ordering again from 7 Gifts.

Purchased this for my dad and had to test it out before we gave it to him. The cabinet is sturdy and the finish is beautiful. The controls are pretty basic and easy to use. Unfortunately the only control for the cassette player is fast forward, and you have to press the eject button half way to use it. Kind of wierd. But otherwise everything works great. The sound quality is ok. The bass and midrange are lacking but what do you expect from an all in one like this. You can either connect external speakers or use RCA cables to connect it to your home theater reciever and bypass the speakers all together. Overall, nice product and looks good.

This record player is beautiful to look at and the sopund is incredubly clear and gorgeous! We bought this for my mom for Christmas to play her old records. You hear almost no "pops" or scratchy sounds at all. This product looks far more expensive than it is. My mom is proud to display this handsome record player in her home.

It arrived defective so since it came from a third-part distributor, we are still trying to get it repaired before the warranty runs out. It was a Christmas present purchased 12/3/06 so it has taken quite a while to get responses from the parties involved.
