The speaker mounts were easy to install into blocks and rafters in the ceiling. Speakers were also easy to attach and the ball/socket setup is holding my speakers firmly, even at an angle (my speakers only weigh about 5 pounds, though). I think most of the cost of the mounts is invested in supplying 4 pounds of hardware for every possible installation method so be prepared to toss (or save) a large bag of brackets, screws ...
