Great stands for black speakers.......2007-01-01
I bought some Ascend Acoustics speakers - the larger size units, to make a two-channel system. I decided to go with these stands, as they make the speakers look good - like studio monitors, I guess.
I couldnt get lead shot conveniently, so I filled each with two containers of copper BBs, which worked perfectly for weighing down the bottom. I used blu-tak poster type adhesive in five small balls to adhere the speakers, and while a large force would knock them off, even if the speaker/stand units fell onto the ground, likely all would remain affixed.
These stands are very sturdy, high quality, yet simple and nice. i wish they would put a bit more weight in the bottoms from the factory, but then again, shipping would be more expensive.

I purchased a pair of these speaker stands for my parents, who are in the process of creating a basic home theater. They have a pair of Bose 301 speakers and needed to mount them somewhere at ear level when seated. I found these and ordered them. When they arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and ease of assembly. They are made of fiberboard with a nice low luster black finish. They are not meant to hold a lot of weight, but the Bose 301's worked out perfectly. They look good and are now at ear level. The 301's are dark brown walnut color and black, and the black stands really match and look good with the black Panasonic plasma TV in the room.

Received this and assembled in 5 minutes. Good quality and build. The anti slip pad that glues on the top surface easily falls off and is too small and flimsy. But without that, speaker bottom will scratch easily.

Handsome, rugged, solid. Easy to assemble- all is needed is a mallet and screwdriver. Perfect height for our Mordaunt-Short bookshelf speakers. These Sanus BF 24B's open up the mid-range and lift the treble, who knew a simple speaker stand could make such a difference?
We're happy with the purchase, especially considering the price paid (well below what one would expect to pay at retail).

I've been using these stands for a few weeks and they work great. I was a little unsure because of the price, but they are very sturdy and look quite nice. My surround setup sounds infinitely better now with the tweeters aimed at ear level and evenly spaced.

These are sturdy, sleek looking, audiophile quality speakers. I wanted to get my big, heavy Design Acoustics PS10 speakers off of the floor without spending a bundle. I also needed stands that wouldn't tip over if my toddler knocked into them. These are perfect. They even included carpet spikes, with steel discs to protect my hardwood floors.
For this price, I haven't found anything comparable.
