QUALITY CONTROL ISSUES.......2007-12-26
Apparently, it's a hit or miss with this product. Unfortunately for me, the shelves were fine at the toppermost use and on the bottom shelve. Anything in between will not work. On my unit, the outside particle boards are both bowed. Consequently, the shelves will not hold unless you extend the dowels that keep the shelving in place. It's a hassle. I should have sent them back. Buyer be wary if purchasing this item. I am qurious on point of origin???
Not a good quality product.......2007-12-26
Shortly after purchasing, the screws in the top began to call out and the piece would collapse. Poor quality, will not buy another one again.
Be wary as your DVDs my come crashing down!.......2007-10-31
I bought this to store my extensive DVD collection on. Assembly is easy and fast, but there is a lack of support to prevent the shelving from swaying. The shelves are just supported by little metal screws that stick out, and because of the lack of support in the middle of the shelves, they just fall down. I did attempt to make custom modifications, but it was basically a loss at that point.
If you are capable of making adjustments and have time to trouble shoot faulty furniture, this is the perfect DVD storage unit.
A pile of junk.......2007-10-26
This was the only cd shelve that was for sale at the store where I bought it from so I had no options. After I assembled it, I noticed that the a few shelves would collapse because the structure was flimsy and not durable. As you can imagine every now and then I would sit in my room and the top shelve would collapse, which would have a domino effect, causing the other shelves to collapse. It was so cheap and unreliable that I pitched the whole thing away! This is garbage! Does not deserve any stars in my rating--I had to give it at least one star to submit my review.
You get what you pay for..........2007-10-10
I have three of these cabinets. They are made from cheap material, but work very well at holding cd's,movies, and even books. I have moved three times with my shelves, and they are still in good condition. Not the best product.. but they work well, are durable and are pretty cheap compared to other shelving units.

Great value for the capacity........2007-12-27
This shelf is quite worth the price if you are looking for a high-volume storage solution on a budget. Don't expect the world's greatest shelving unit, and if you can afford a high-quality unit in the three to seven hundred dollar range, you should go with that. But if you are an individual who, such as myself, allocates most of your personal spending budget on multimedia, and need an affordable way to keep it all together, then do not hesitate on the Oskar shelf. I've owned one for my CDs for nearly a year now, and it's been such a useful setup that I recently purchased a second Oskar unit for my DVDs, as they've outgrown my older case.
Organized...........2007-12-12
Neat and clean looking cabinet....had to purchase another one for our collection....easily put together, has enough shelves and able to vary shelve placement.....glad we purchased these....
Multi Media storage cabinets.......2007-12-06
The storage units serve their purpose BUT for what we paid, the contruction isn't that good. we had to be real careful when we moved them they bowed in th middle. as long as they stay put they are ok and look nice.
Great storage for DVDs and/or CDs.......2007-11-01
I have bought three of these puppies, one for DVDs and two for CDs and they give you the maximum storage with the minimum space for a reasonable cost. Takes about 40 min to assemble.
Great Storage for DVD, CD, VHS, & Video Games.......2007-08-27
I own a slightly smaller version of this cabinet. We found it easy to assemble, sturdy, & of great quality. The shelves are all able to be individually placed at a variety of heights except for the on in the middle of the cabinet; this shelf & the verticle supports stabalize the cabiner. The cabinet is the perfect depth for CDs & DVDs as well as VHS tapes (including the ones in in the big plastic cases, like the Disney ones). While this look may not fit in with some decor, this cabinet is quite versitle & is a great storage solution, especially if you have several different types of media you want to store on one location.
Amazon.com Review
From the furniture-style Sonoma collection, this video base provides a handsome display for most 36-inch conventional TVs (up to 240 pounds) or 60-inch flat-panel TVs (up to 154 pounds), plus plenty of peripherals. Two tempered-glass doors on each end protect components and DVDs from dust or damage, while a center open cubby provides easy access to often-used items. All shelves are adjustable for storage flexibility, and a top drawer handles small items like remote controls. For inconspicuous wire management, there are strategically placed cutouts in the back panel. Finished in a deep Mocha Cherry veneer with square, silver-toned drawer pulls and gracefully flared legs, Sonoma has a classic look that is both comfortable and crisp. The video base measures 57-7/8 inches wide by 22-1/8 inches deep by 20-1/8 inches high and has been tested for tip-free safety. Assembly is required, and instructions and a toll-free customer help line are included. One-year warranty. --Kara Karll

Atlantic Storage "ROCKS".......2007-09-23
This is a really nice and fully adjustable CD/DVD rack that can be configured in many different ways. I own one ELF464 and four Penguin 322's (nearly identical ATLANTIC rack). Directions may not be the best, but, if you take the time to look at them and follow the order without tightening anything at first, it will assemble easily, although a little slowly. Look at the pictured formats, decide what your storage requirements are and go to it. Once loosely assembled and satisfied, tighten everything up securely. Anyone who has had assembly complaints invariably tightened things up before they were supposed to, and the instructions warn you not to do this. It includes the Allen wrench that is needed and extra spares of both the washers and screws. It is a stable unit that holds an amazing amount of CD's/DVD's, looks good in doing so, and displays the cases rather nicely - easy to read and access. I configured mine to hold 240 DVD's by starting each successive row, seven rows from the last (six empty spaces in between). These are definitely nice products worthy of your consideration!
I love having everything in one place, but..........2007-09-13
putting this together was not as easy as I had anticipated. I had to take it apart and put it back together several times to adjust for both CDs and DVDs, but once it was together I loved it. Now we finally have everything all in one place!
Ideal choice for storage.......2007-08-31
This is my 4th one, because I need a lot of storage room and this item is very handy. With little imagination you can customize your installation to fit your need.
Fine storage rack with a few assembly problems..........2007-07-21
This attractive media storage rack stores any combination of CDs, DVDs and even VHS tapes. Of course you can use it for just one of the three types of media, too. It fits nicely up against a wall and the design with its titanium coloring goes with most contemporary and modern décor. The rack also comes with easy to install and move shelf dividers so that you can split a shelf between two or more different types of media. Very good!
The rack is easy to lift and carry around your room or your home. If you wish to carry this rack across several rooms you would be well advised to carry just the bottom half first and then re-install the upper half of the rack after you place the rack in its new position. One cautionary note: I wouldn't move the rack when it was full or even just partially full, either. Empty the rack before moving it so that you don't risk media spilling all over your floor or shelf dividers coming loose and falling onto your floor.
This rack is particularly useful for persons with large CD collections. Amazon correctly notes that the rack holds over 400 CDs--excellent! At just less than four feet high it won't get in the way of most windows or artwork hanging on the walls of your home.
I have some concerns about the overall construction of the unit and its assembly. Frankly, the instructions were very difficult to understand and I had to actually get a handyman to assemble the thing for me! Amazon states that the rack comes in two pieces--they couldn't be further from the truth. There are a gazillion small screws connecting things and the assembly can take some while. Moreover, even after it's fully assembled the top half and bottom half are connected--but not tightly. This creates the possibility of the top half of the rack leaning either forward or backward depending on the distribution of weight on each shelf. In addition, please be careful not to overload a shelf--it can cause the shelf to bend downward because of the weight on it and then it looks pretty ugly. Even after you cover up that shelf with media, the media themselves are not even because the bent shelf on which they rest is uneven. Sigh.
In short, this is a good rack as long as you are great with mediocre instructions that can be rather cryptic at times. It reliably holds a great deal of media but as I mentioned above it cannot be manhandled--use care when moving this rack! Once you do get past the instructions, however, I would highly recommend this media storage rack by Atlantic for anyone with larger media collections.
NICE RACK!!!.......2007-07-06
THE RACK IS GOOD, AND HOLD LOTS OF DVD'S/CD'S. BUT IT WAS A LITTLE CONFUSING TO ASSEMBLE.

solid.......2007-12-14
This is a solid and reasonably well-made piece of assemble-it-yourself furniture. The box was *heavy*; I live on the third floor, and for a while it looked like my delivery man wouldn't be able to get it up to me. If you're going to be moving yourself at any point in the near future, you might think twice. On the upside, it's heavy because it's sturdy.
The closed back style makes it a bit tricky to hook your componants up to each other and the tv, but also does a better job at hiding the cords in the darkness than our old open-back cart did. The bevelled glass door sometimes gets in the way of a remote signal, or makes the display on the lower shelf's componant hard to read, but you could easily remove it if that was an issue for you.
Overall, I'm pleased with how it looks and functions, I just wish it weren't so heavy.
TV Cabinet.......2007-10-17
This thing is really heavy--but very sturdy. Assembly instructions were good and it looks nice. The description says it fits a 42" flat screen, but my 46" Samsung fits on it with room to spare.

Good form and finish. Fit could be better........2007-12-24
I ordered this TV console for my new Sony 46" LCD TV after first comig across it at http://www.everythingfurniture.com/bush-video-base-3.html via a Google search.
The price on Amazon for the same item was $296 compared to $405 at the other site. Why was I not surprised?!
Was delivered a whole week ahead of estimate - pleasantly surpirsed. The Package is heavy! Weighed 132lbs.
The assembly was straightforward but time consuming and thankfully no missing bolts, screws etc..
One issue I have with this stand is that the back panel has very small openings for wires to go through and there is *zero* access to your A/V equipment connections through the back. You have to be creative and first make your connections to the back of your equipment before you put them on the shelves, push the wires out from the front through the small back panel openings and then place equipment on the shelves and further pull the wires out from the back to connect to the TV or power outlets. Somewhat tricky! I can imagine some cases where this may not be practical but in my case connections worked out eventually (I have a A/V receiver, CD changer, DVD player and DVR sitting on the 4 shelves inside the glass doors).
Second issue is that the right door hinge slots were slightly off and the door grazes against the bottom frame when it is opened and shut. Minor issue but expected better fit from a $300 TV stand.
Overall looks elegant in my living room though. Might consider buying the companion audio rack downstream.
Great piece.......2007-12-22
Just ordered this table and received it in two days with free shipping. There was only one minor blemish that is easily corrected. Nothing worth sending it back over. It took my engineer husband about 3 hours to put it together. It is a solid unit, very stable and looks terrific! Well worth the money. Even my husband commented that we should have bought it sooner.
Good(not Great) Furniture, Great Customer Service by BUSH.......2007-11-30
The furniture is of good quality but the spaces are rather small. Check out the measurements carefully for your components before buying. I can only fit 4 components, 1 in each shelf.
My biggest complaint is those DAMN stickers they use to ID the parts. It is quite a task to remove them. They are paper and they tear and layer off.
Big Kudos to BUSH customer service. It was shipped directly from Bush and 2 pieces got damaged, 1 of them being the top piece (the largest and heaviest part). They sent me a replacement with no questions in 3 days!!!
Overall I would recommend it, especially for under $300 with delivery.

Part of Bush Furniture's sophisticated Midnight Mist entertainment collection, this audio tower provides a striking modern display for stereo components, peripherals, and accessories. Five black, tempered-glass shelves are housed inside a unique double frame with wide, textured black metal posts on the outside and narrow chrome poles that rise up from within. (Notice how the staggered design gives the top level a floating effect.) The shelves rest on vibration-dampening pads for improved sound quality, and a wide back spine provides both extra stability and wire concealment with its oval cutouts. The tower measures 25.5 inches wide by 22.3 inches deep by 41.6 inches high and has been tested for tip-free safety. Assembly is required, and instructions and a toll-free customer help line are included. One-year warranty. --Kara Karll

Amazon.com Review
The family entertainment area can look just as handsome as the rest of the house with the help Winsome Wood's CD/DVD cabinet. Featuring a stained Antique Walnut wood finish and double glass doors, this classically styled unit presents itself as an attractive furniture piece rather than simple storage. Yet it's really a hard worker--inside, five adjustable shelves safely and efficiently hold large collections of movies, video games, and music. Simply pull the satin nickel door handles and everything is displayed with no need to shuffle through or dig in the back for a long-lost favorite. The cabinet measures 22 inches wide by 9-1/4 inches deep by 44-1/4 inches high. Assembly is required. --Kara Karll

Nice cabinet.......2007-12-07
This is a very nice looking cabinet. It's a little pricy but it looks very nice. One reviewer stated the top magents interfered with DVD storage, I have not had this problem. I think it holds roughly 25 DVDs per shelf.
Assembly is very easy. The instructions state the crossbar in the middle is optional but that it adds stability if installed. If you do install it then you will lose considerable dvd storage space on the middle shelf. You will only be able to store DVDs or CDs sideways. If you don't intend on moving the cabinet very much once assembled then you probably won't need the crossbar. If you rearrange often then you should use it as it would be pretty wobbly without it. It does give you a screw to secure it to a wall so if you intend on doing that then I would definitely not use the crossbar, it would just take up unnecessary room.
And don't think you can just remove the bar after install if it doesn't work for you. You have to disassemble the whole thing to take it out.
Overall, I'm happy with it for its size. I could personally use a larger cabinet but couldn't find anything else reasonably priced that looked as nice as this one.
media room cabinet.......2007-08-26
Worth the money - quick ship - free shipping a plus. Will probably order another one.
Spacing for DVD's is too tight .......2007-07-11
I bought this cabinet and I'm somewhat dissatisfied.
The assembly is not complicated, it uses bolts with cam locks.
PRO's: Finish, color, enclosed to keep dust out.
CON's: poor door hinge design; it's too small and spacing for DVD's is very restrictive.
The doors do not close evenly and make contact with the shelving.
DVD space is lost because of the top door magnets.
Summary: nice looks but lack of spacing between DVD/shelves and doors causes problems with proper clsosing. Everything is very tightly packed.

Sleek and sophisticated, Bush Furniture's Universal TV/VCR video base provides a striking modern display for most 60-inch flat-panel televisions (up to 165 pounds), plus several peripherals. The sturdy metal frame consists of wide, flat posts in a minimalist, open design with a high-gloss black finish. Three black angle-cut, tempered-glass shelves rest on vibration-dampening pads for improved sound quality, and double back spines provide both extra stability and wire concealment with their round grommets. The video base measures 58 inches wide by 20-3/8 inches deep by 22-7/8 inches high and has been tested for tip-free safety. Adjustable levelers help to keep this piece even on any floor. Great Product!.......2007-12-11
I think that this product is outstanding for the price. The steel frame has a high quality high gloss finish, and the glass shelves are tinted and coated on the bottom side. On the back there are wire troughs provided to hide wires. The front feet of the stand are adjustable for leveling.
Assembly went very well, as all parts were present, and mounting holes were accurate. The fasteners to assemble the stand require an Allen type wrench (supplied, but using it is painfully slow,) so I cut the end of the supplied Allen wrench off and installed it in my cordless screwdriver with a chuck to quickly install the bolts. Final tightening was done by hand with another wrench of the same size. This reduced the assembly time greatly. Assembly was quite easy. It took as long to unpack the stand as to assemble it. The stand was packed very well for shipping and arrived in perfect condition.
When looking at the different Bush model stands, take note that there are a few different models that provide different lengths of the same type of stand to provide exactly what you need. Even though stands are rated for (up to) a certain size TV, they are not all the same length. I purchased this model of stand because I only had enough room for a 48" length stand for the location that I had available.
I'm very impressed with the quality of this stand and ease of assembly, so gave it a 5 star rating. Amazon did an excellent job with shipping this item very quickly.
Very nice.......2007-11-28
Very nice product. I basically picked this because it was the least expensive stand I could find (that looked good) that would fit my new 52" Samsung. It was very easy to assemble and came with everything needed. You will need a second person to help with the glass because these pieces are a little heavy and akward shaped.
I only checked weight and not dimensions when i purchased. The stand is 48" wide and my TV is 54" wide. No big deal as about 3 inches of TV extend on either side but it still looks great. My only complaint would be shipping. Of course I did the free shipping but still. I ordered on the 14th and had it at my door on the 27th. Well, i guess 2 weeks isnt actually that bad for free shipping on a 100lb item with Thanksgiving holiday in there. Ok, no complaints.
Good quality at the price.......2007-11-25
This is a nice-looking unit, in a modern minimalist way. It's possibly a little difficult to tell from the photographs, but the steel frame has a nice semigloss enamel covering. With reasonable care, it doesn't look like the finish will nick off.
It comes well-packed in a single carton, weighing nearly 100 pounds. All parts are embedded in custom-molded polystyrene foam. Be aware that you'll have a LOT of foam to discard. Once you wrestle the box into your domicile, individual parts are light. A small-framed person might wish to have a helper for the three glass shelves. Assembly instructions are simple and reasonably clear. Anyone with the slightest bit of mechanical aptitude should be able to put this stand together in under an hour. While quite solid mechanically, I did have one bolt that didn't grip its specified hole. There doesn't appear to be any warping. Instead, I believe the hole wasn't quite properly tapped. There's enough redundant support that I'm not going to worry about it.
One small complaint. The framework is comprised of hollow steel pieces. Depending on your listening levels and choice of listening material, there's some chance that this frame could resonate slightly. The very best frames would fill those areas with bags of sand or some other damping material. This is a minor problem at worst.
