This product is effective for the price. I've used it on a few long trips and liked it. It does tend to pick up some static from time to time but it's much less expensive than all of other IPOD add ons.

This car/iPod adapter was very easy to use, and it held my iPod in a very comfortable position to use while driving. BUT, I can only speak from my ONE experience with it as the connector broke off in my brand new iPod! Luckily it was so brittle that with a little jiggling, it fell apart and out of my iPod.
It then fell directly into the trash.

This product only lasted 3 months, and it wasn'y easy to turn on & off. Power button had to get pressed for several seconds to make it work. And transmitter's design it's not to best to reach it. OK for the low price I guess ($15).

I have yet to find a FM Transmitter for my iPod that sounds good. BUT, this does work great as a charger and holder for my iPod. But I'm not completely sold on the sound. So far, the best sound I found is using the cassette adapter, which I know is quickly becoming obsolete.

The idea of the product is great, but the delivery leaves a bit to be desired. It charges great, holds onto the device great, but the FM transmitter part is far from great. The sound quality is horrible, very muffled. I use it only to charge my ipod on the way to work.

I just got this item 2 days ago. I have tried other FM transmitters and all I heard was static (Yuk!). I bought this item and I tell you, it was worth every dollar, it was %100 static free!!! Hek yes! You will not be dissapointed with this item, buy it if no other transmitters work. I have heard this item sells for $200+ I can see why it sells for that much, it works great.

Two stars for the two items that work. Great price for these items, and the home and car charger work fine, but my 3rd gen ipod nano seems to want a plug that goes into the data port instead of the headphone jack to play video on a TV. Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

It's been working ok now, but after the first time I used it, my iPod would only play tunes by one particular artist and would skip over all the others in the shuffle. It wouldn't play anything else even if I selected it manually. I let the battery completely run down and then charged it again on my computer. It's working fine now and I use the car charger for short periods of time now. I haven't had any further problems.

When I bought this bundle, I was a bit suspicious of its low price. Other manufactures charge more or as much just for one of the plugs! The Car and Wall AC adaptor work flawlessly. At the momment I couldn't get the AV cable to work on one of my TVs. Perhaps that just doesn't work? Either way, I would have bought this without the AV cable for the same price!

Don't buy for 98-05 Jetta!.......2007-12-26

This kit does NOT work in a VW Jetta where the AC outlet is down in front of the gear shift. I have a 99 model manual transmission Jetta and it doesn't fit. The adapter post does not fit all the way down into the AC outlet; the position of the outlet makes it impossible to push it down far enough to make contact. And even if it fit, it wouldn't work with a manual transmission. You wind up hitting the unit every time you shift into 3rd or 5th gear, not to mention you couldn't touch the controls. I can't vouch for other cars or the quality of this unit because I can't get it to work. If your outlet is in a similarly tight spot then DO NOT buy this.

this kit is really good if you are really crazy of listening songs from ipod. however keep in mind it transmits radio signal and and your car receives signals from other sources as well. so sometimes there is not of static.. otherwise we really like this kit.

This item was different than the product photo. The item I received (from Cable 4 Less) has gray packaging and the product itself has a digital readout and a bevel on top. The product is very cheap. Cheaper than it looks in the photo. I do not know how effectively the product works, since it will be a gift for somebody else. If aesthetics are important to you, don't buy this item.

It's very easy to use and is a great buy. The downside is it may have a bad broadcast so that a very silent buzz is heard. For those with sensitive ears it may bother you or and if you listen to a lot of classical or relaxing music. Otherwise it's a great product.

I really love the product, it is nice, it plays nice, it looks nice and it is very convenient for me. The only little detail I don't like is the fact that the remote control is white and not black as my Ipod and the car charger itself but it is just a small detail. Overall I feel satisfied sofar.

Worked just like it was supposed to. Connected my IPOD Nano, plugged the unit into a power outlet in my car, set the station, turned on the radio, my IPOD music was playing through my car stereo system. Setup, including getting the product out of the box, took less than 5 minutes. I've not used it out of town yet but so far the sound quality while driving in town is great. The price of this product is well below similar products I priced at the big box electronic stores. So far no problems just my favorite mp3 music.

As good as you'd expect for $15.......2007-11-05

Like other reviewers, I was glad to receive the item within days of ordering it: very fast service! I've now been listening for a couple of days, and for $15 I don't regret purchasing this. There are some things to consider though:

(1) Try as I might, I cannot get stereo reception of the music from my ipod. The item comes with only three buttons (ON/OFF, UP, DOWN) and reception remains mono no matter what frequency I try (switching immediately to stereo for regular radio transmission, so the problem is not in my car radio). This is not a problem for audio books, but a bit of a bummer with music. Unless my item happened to be defective, I think it's not right to advertise this as a stereo transmitter.

(2) For audio books, there is the problem of the constant background whine picked up from the car engine: it rises and falls in frequency depending on how hard you step on the gas, which in city traffic makes it sound a bit like a dentist's drill. Not necessarily a problem if you're playing metal or hard rock, but you'd have to get used to it if you were planning on listening to audio books all the time.

On the plus side, this item costs only $15, which I think is reasonable value for money. If I'd bought the transmitter for the original $60, I might not have been quite so forgiving about the negative points, and would have given it one star.

Decent device with some flaws..........2007-08-02

I'd just like to say that the device works as designed with a few exceptions. First of all, my 5th Gen 80 gig iPod is not held very securely by this unit. And like other reviewers, I too found that the placement of my outlet did not lend itself to this device. Fortunately I bought an inverter (for powering my laptop on the road) and this inverter has another plug on it. So I usually sit the inverter in the passenger seat, plug this unit into that, then plug my iPod into this transmitter without using their 'cradle.'

Obviously this is not an ideal setup but it works very well. I was initially very disappointed with the reception until I tried some different stations (it goes from 88 all the way to 108 at .1 intervals) and found one that works great around here 100% of the time. I have noticed almost no static.

Cons:
-Doesn't hold large iPods well
-limited options with some cigarette outlet placements
-buttons are difficult to operate, not very modern

Pros:
-does the job more cheaply than the alternatives
-once minor problems are solved with workarounds, the unit works well

Cigarette Lighter Locations.......2007-03-17

The product works fine, but everyone should be aware of where there cigarette lighters are on their cars. I was unable to shift gears when the product was plugged in because my lighter is right below my radio, and my gearshift is in between the 2 seats... so just watch out for that. I had to buy a lighter extender so that the product wouldn't be in my way. It works great though, and the sound is very close to CD quality!!

I have had it about a month and it works fine. Understand that no FM broadcast device is going to work in any area where stations compete for the same frequency, I did not give it FIVE STARS becasue it has only a handful of selectable frequencies between 88.1 and 88.9, this was not clear to me when I bought it, nonetheless, A SOLID VALUE --it works fine for me in the Nashville area, only when on longer trips and I have to compete with unknown stations do I have to reconfigure the device and radio.

A Lot for the money.......2006-09-02

Arrived in two days! Emailed seller to inquire about colors available, received answer same day. Unit works fine, I didn't even need to adjust anything; I just plugged it in and hit the scan button on my radio. Obviously, this is not an audiophile quality piece, but it produces a music quatlity at least as good as my FM radio. Some slight hissing/clicking noise between songs, but not annoying at all. I just ordered another one from this seller. The only negative is the shipping and handling price is somewhat high ($10.00), but its total price is still way, way low.

This thing is great, charges MP3 player from cigarette lighter while providing power to also play MP3 over your car radio and it also holds it tight and upright so you can operate the MP3. Neat. Just make sure when buying you get a multi-use MP3 version or specific for your brand. Some word on all models others are their brand only...Do the Research and really enjoy your MP3 more!!
