A revelation.......2007-12-13
I'm well over 50 and have been reluctant to adopt new technology when the old works OK. I have 1 19-in TV with stereo speakers and that was fine with me. On a whim, I wondered if I could get better sound--the sort I hear on TV sets when I walk through Best Buy--but do it more cheaply than buying a new set as I'm not ready for HDTV and I'm don't want to invest in a new "old" technology TV.
So, I figured I couldn't go wrong for $50. That was a very good decision. Adding these Logitech speakers has greatly enriched the listening experience, even on my old set--which wasn't all that old as it has an 1/8 in plug to plug the speak set directly into the TV. I did not realize how much bass I had been missing. Granted, the younger crowd seems to want too much bass. Fortunately the bass speaker has separate volume control so I could keep the trebles high and add just a bit of bass to fill in the bottom. If you want, you can really crank up the bass, but it shakes the room too much for me.
The net result has been a much better listening experience without the cost of a "home studio" or that sort of technology. We're talking Wal-Mart TV, with the Logitech speakers adding up to what I think is 90% of what you'd get for $1,000 if you wanted true high-end 5.1 listening. The movie I saved, I'll put toward a cruise.
awesome.......2007-12-07
These speakers are powerful and deliver an awesome bass! I recommend them to anyone who is low on money, but still wants awesome sound!
Wonderful sound quality.......2007-11-29
The Logitech speakers are superb. The sound quality is amazing! I'm delighted that I purchased them...and the price is RIGHT!!! Logitech x-230 2.1 2-Piece Dual Drive Speakers with Ported Subwoofer- New Whitebox
These sound GREAT...when they're working!.......2007-11-27
I've owned this pair for about two months now. They sounded amazing considering the price. Responsive bass and treble in a compact size, perfect for an apartment. They look great, too!
However, I must warn you of their durability. They appear to be constructed rather cheaply. Can't blame them, you get what you pay for. But, I was hoping they would last me at least a few years like my previous pair of Creative speakers. Just recently, the left speaker has started to produce a rattling noise while playing sounds with moderate to high bass, for example while listening to music or playing games. So now I'm restricted to playing music only at low to moderate levels without hearing the rattles.
I believe the warranty is something like 2 years but it's not worth paying the shipping to send this back to the manufacturer. My 2 cents.
Big sound for the size.......2007-11-26
I was looking for computer speakers to play iTunes from my computer, and for watching movies and videos as well. These speakers do the job wonderfully. I make music, and although I have other equipment for that (studio monitors-audio interfase), this is why precisely I can honestly say these guys are truly great, and not just for the good "price". Needless to say, the SubWoofer is a plus, it adds so much to the speakers. Of course there are more sophisticated computer speaker systems, but if you're "just" looking for speakers that will let you appreciate what you're listening to, these speakers are quite more than "just" great. Get a pair!

Customer Reviews:
good for the money.......2007-10-22
These mounts work great. My only complaint with them is that since they are plastic, if you overtighten one of the bolts you'll ruin the mount. They come with plenty of mounting options depending on the speakers you are installing. I bought these mounts for an onkyo system and the speakers are roughly 6" by 10" and these mounts work great. They include all the hardware you would need to secure them to the speaker and the wall itself.
These mounts helped finish off my new home theatre room with the look of a professional instalation.
Great Deal.......2007-09-10
These mounts are the best buy for your money.....I have a 7.1 system and used these for my surround speakers.......If you speakers weigh more than 7lbs I would suggest using the B-Tech BT1 mount which is great for heavier speakers which is what I used for my front left/right speakers and I used the B-Tech BT33 for my center.....
Great product at a great price!.......2007-09-05
I got this product not really expecting much but it is a bargain. I didn't give it 5 stars just because it isn't all the best thing since sliced bread. But for those wanting an inexpensive wall mount kit, this is it. It is high quality and you won't be disappointed with your purchase.
BUDGET SPEAKER MOUNTS.......2007-08-24
FAIRLY SOLID CONSTRUCTION. THE MATERIAL HAS A LITTLE TOO MUCH FLEX AND THE MOUNTING SCREWS CAN BE FORCED THROUGH THE HOLES. IT IS NOT REALLY A PROBLEM IF YOU ARE CAREFUL. IN GENERAL PRETTY GOOD, FOR THE PRICE AN EXCELLENT VALUE. THIS IS THE SECOND PURCHASE OF THESE MOUNTS FOR ME AND I WOULD NOT HAVE ORDERED THEM AGAIN IF UNSATISFIED WITH THE FIRST ORDER
good mounts at a fair price.......2007-08-23
This is a good option if you do not want to spend too much. There are couple of catches that I think you should be aware of:
1. Mounts are made of plastic
2. There is no conduit built within the mount through which you can run speaker wire.
Average customer rating:
- worth every penny
- So far, so good...
- Upside-down mounting the way to go!
- Very functional with slight room for improvement

Customer Reviews:
worth every penny.......2007-12-11
I am the DIY type, so I usually tend to build things like this myself, but this shelf works as advertised and it is worth every penny. My center speaker sits now on the top of my Panasonic LCD projection TV, where it should be and even the wife does not complain ;-) ...
So far, so good..........2007-12-08
I have a Sharp 37" LCD and it is very thin. I was going to ship the stand back because the legs were about 5 inches from the tv. She suggested moving the legs forward a few holes. So far it looks and seems fine. I have about a 10lb speaker on it as well as a HD Cable receiver. If they crash, I will lose a lot of money and possibly damage the TV. I will see how it lasts for about a month, and if it works I will probably buy another.
Upside-down mounting the way to go!.......2007-11-25
As suggested by another reviewer I tried mounting the shelf upside down on my Sony KDS-60A3000. Good idea! The shelf is "invisible", with only a slight lip extending over the silver bezel of the TV. The pegs designed for right-side-up mounting would have extended into the screen.
As far as those reporting the shelf collapsing, I have not had any problems. Just don't over load the shelf; be certain that all set screws are tight and clean the area where the pads connect to the back of the TV.
Highly recommended...and you get better sound when you get the center speaker above the TV.
Very functional with slight room for improvement.......2007-10-31
First off, let me tell you that this is an excellent shelf for mounting a center channel speaker above your TV. I am using it to mount the center speaker in my Onkyo SKS-HT540 speaker system. The speaker is a little over 8 lbs. so it is well within the weight limits of the shelf. I chose to mount the shelf upside down as explained here by another reviewer as this method looks much better in my opinion. Since the top of my TV is quite a bit higher than ear level I had to angle the center channel speaker down quite a bit. This concerned me because I was afraid the speaker may slide off over time from the vibrations. Just to be on the safe side I used the pins left over from mounting the shelf upside down as a barrier in front of the speaker so that it has no way to slide forward and come crashing down on my glass TV stand. That would not be good at all.
One final note that may be of interest to some people. I bought this shelf to go on top a my very slim Sony Bravia 52" xbr2. This is where OminiMount could slightly improve this product. If they just included some longer legs with this unit than the 4" and 11" ones that they have in the box, then they could market it as being able to fit any TV as opposed to just projection, DLP, cabinet-style TVs. I knew about the mounting problems I was going to run into beforehand as this product was clearly not intended for slim flat panel TVs, however, it was pretty much my only option. So, a quick trip down the road to Home Depot and $7 later I had my mounting issue under control. I bought two 3' aluminum rods that perfectly matched the diameter of the receivers that the stand uses. I cut a couple of inches off of the rods so that they were the right length from the base of the shelf to the top of the TV stand. Worked well for me, was easy to fabricate a quick fix, and is very sturdy.
Exactly what I needed, only one that I found would work.......2007-10-18
I own a KDS-60XBR2 and wanted to mount a center channel that was about 14" wide and 10" deep. This mount was perfect for the fit on top of the TV. Only problem I have with it is the front two "peg feet" are steel with no padding, so I suggest getting some foam pads to place underneath them before placing it on the front edge of your TV as they will scratch it. The rear feet come with double sided adhesive foam pads that work well. I personally only peeled off the side to stick to the shelfs feet and left the paper backing on the side touching the TV since I wasn't sure how hard it would be when it was time to remove it. Overall works great and is very reasonably priced. It has enough adjustment options to accomodate most new projection TV's but not the newest super slim cabinets and definitely not a plasma or flat screen LCD.

Customer Reviews:
These mounts are not very good.......2007-12-11
Speakers does not mount correct. Screws does not fit into the base either. Do not buy this set...
Works great with the Onkyo HT750 speakers.......2007-11-30
I got these speaker stands with the Onkyo HT-SP908 7.1 Channel Home Theater System. Onkyo hasn't updated their product page to list them yet, but they are perfect for the Onkyo SKS-HT750 speakers included in that system. The stands are sturdy and include a spacer that allows you to select a speaker height of either about 36" or 43"
I think they look great. Not that much more you can say about a speaker stand...
Onkyo Speaker Stands (AS240B) Money Well Spent.......2007-06-15
The stands themselves were better than I expected. They are very sturdy. I also liked the weight of the stands. We have several pets and I am not worried about them knocking over the stands. My only dissapointment was the M4 screws that attach the base to the pipe. I ended up substituting high quality stainless steel screws to get a real good grip into the pipe threads.
Nice looking, good quality.......2007-04-10
These are very heavy and good quality - they don't look or feel cheap at all. I got them for my Onkyo speaker set and they look perfect together.
Best price, fast delivery.......2007-01-16
Saved $100 buying online vs. discount national electronics store, easy choice and delivery was faster than expected.

Customer Reviews:
SANUS EF-SATB adjustable speaker stands.......2007-11-25
Other reviewers described how these speaker stands worked well or not quite so well in various situations. These reviews helped me decide to try them - my surround speakers are flat bottomed about 6.5 inches wide and 8 inches long and weight 7.5 lbs. The largest top plate or speaker support plate included with the stands is 5 inches square. Sanus does include many different brackets, parts and screws with the stands. I wanted the speakers to just sit on top of a plate or "table". Off on a trip to Home Depo where I bought 2 pieces of 8 X 10 inch lexan (for 8 X 10 picture frames) for $3.00 each and a roll of double-sided tape for $5.00. I cut 4 inches off the 10 inch side with a small hand saw to make a 6 X 10 inch "table" and used four pieces of the double-sided tape to stick this to the 5 inch plate included with the stand - after first screwing the 5 inch plate to the speaker "pole" - it is not beyond me to afix the lexan to the 5 inch plate first - and then realize I can't screw the plate to the pole because I just covered the screw hole!!!LOL. I sanded smooth the sawed side and used four 1 inch felt feet on the speaker All this turned out ok. Also used 12 gauge speaker wire. This threaded through the bottom pole slot ok - tough getting it through the smaller top slot. Used straightened paper clips and needle-nosed pliers to make hooks on the paper clip ends - had to use two - to get the wire started through the pole top slot. Pushed wire through the bottom and wiggled it through the top slot to get about 10 inches - enough to connect to bannana connectors in speaker. It's been said that these stands won't do well with heavier speakers and I also don't think they would do well with any speaker over 10 lbs.. Good luck..
Nice stands for the money........2007-10-31
The price was right on these stands and they go very well with my black side and rear surrounds of my Onkyo SKS-HT540 speaker system. Sturdy, nice looking, and not too expensive.
(P.S. They match the Sanus EF24B stands very nicely that I used to mount my front speakers.)
Better than expected.......2007-09-08
I received my four Sanus System speaker stands and was pleasantly surprised by their quality, and by how easy they were to assemble. They fit and hold my Klipsch Quintet speakers perfectly -- with the brackets specially designed for this model of speakers. The stands also come with several plates that fit a variety of speaker types.
The stands are easy to adjust up and down, and are not top heavy with my speakers. While the black coating is very nice, it is loosely bonded to the metal. I dropped a screw on the floor plate and it nicked the paint to bare metal.
By the way, I found the instructions easy to understand and follow, so perhaps they have been updated.
Here's a tip during assembly, especially if you are using 14-ga lamp cord: insert the cord into the tubes before you screw the tube to the floor plate.
Final comment: great stands at a great price. Highly recommended.
Fits JBL SCS300SAT / SCSSAT300.......2007-08-16
I went through numerous "universal" stands, none of which fit the JBL satellites (SCS300)since they are oddly shaped speakers. The main mounting hole in the middle of the pole fits the odd pole mount that comes with the JBL speakers. Just screw the pole on the base and scre the speaker onto the pole. Piece of cake.
Nice looking stands and sturdy.
I have an old pair of Sanus stands that also had the appropriate hole so I'd assume any sanus stand should fit the JBLs but can't confirm.
Works great.......2007-07-30
I did a lot of research before I got these speaker stands. As it turns out, I have Infinity Modulus surround speakers and I wanted something easily compatible with them. These stands, though they don't mention it, contain something called a Modulus stud that screws into the ball on the bottom of the Modulus speakers. They work really well, though the bases are a little larger than I would have liked to have had. They will definately support a large speaker. The Modulus speakers are about 6 pounds and there was no problems with the weight.

These speaker mounts are awesome. Super easy to install, truly would work with any speaker.

These speaker mounts won't hold the 10 lbs. listed in the description, they bend.
Probably fine for cubes, but don't expect them to hold anything larger.

Couldn't hang speakers.......2007-02-17
These stands arrived as promised, but unfortunately they weren't set up for us to be able to hang our speakers on them as expected. The hole provided was too small for our model. However, we were able to use the sticky tabs included and they have been strong enough to hold the speakers. They seem to be working just fine so far.
Speaker Stands by SANUS.......2007-02-17
I found the speaker stands to be of good quality and construction. The cast iron bases keep the stands secure. The verticle tubing is off set to keep the speakers on a verticle plain which helps balance. The tubing is adjustible for various heights. The base is black with the tubing a silver color which matches most of the products sold today. The speakers I have are silver with black screens. The stands come with several options of hardware which will accomodate the mounting of most all small to medium speakers. I am very well satisfied with the speaker stands and would recomend them to anyone that wants to mount their speakers.

They Work Perfect.......2007-01-31
Was first drawn to them based on price so I took a chance and ordered them. They came in a small box so I thought this must be a mistake or the wrong item but when I opened the box it was correct. After 10 minute assembly procees (very easy) I had my speakers (bose cubes)attached and the wires ran through them. Very sturdy and the height, although at the maximum, puts them just above my couch. Exactly what I was looking for in fit and function.
Great Speaker Stands.......2007-01-30
I bought two sets of these stands for use with my Boston Acoustics home theater setup and they have been fantastic. The fit and finish is well done, running wires through the stand was easy, and they look good with the rest of my equipment. Would get 5 stars but they feel a bit tippy with the heavier front speakers (this is mostly due to how they are fixed to the stands.) Overall a very good product that I highly recommend.
Great purchase!.......2007-01-12
I had bought a much more expensive gadget that was to support my PC speakers but it was a big, clumsy, ugly set of stainless steel clamps and tended to drop the speakers, damaging one. This Home Theatre Speaker Stand is actually a set of two which assemble very easily and have worked well. They blend in with my decor and are unobtrusive. They were very reasonably priced and arrived very quickly. I am very happy with my purchase.
