Fits the iPod like a glove!.......2007-07-10
I purchased this item for my 30 GB video iPod and it fits like a glove. It protects my iPod from my keys and other sharp items when it's in my purse. The round key ring on top makes the iPod easy to grab out of my bag when I want to play some music in the car. I should point out though, that my slate-colored pocket did not come with the lanyard strap shown in the photos. This might be an oversight on just my item, not sure. I didn't raise a question about it because I don't have a use for that anyway. This is a great case for protection, but it's somewhat hard to get the iPod in and out with one hand. You have to pull it out to use the iPod menus too -- you can't use them through the case like you can with some other thin iPod cases. Overall I'm happy I got it though. It's minimalist, stylish, and works well. Given that most iPod cases are in the $20+ price range, I feel I got my money's worth here. As a side note, I did try this with my Canon SD300 digital elph camera as well. I found it to be ill-fitting and awkward on the camera. The case is too tall/big to fit the camera properly, and if your camera has a wrist strap on it like mine does, it'll be hanging out of the case at a funny angle. Maybe the small size would be a better fit for my camera, maybe not.

Cozy place for your iPod to rest.......2007-07-10
I'm not sure how the other reviewer thought this looked like a leather case with button access, especially since both the photos and description clearly show/state that it's not and does not have button access. This is not technically even considered to be an iPod case, but it does work as one. Since I knew what to expect, I was happy to receive this item. I bought this item for my husband's 80 GB video iPod. We were trying to find a replacement for the Timbuk2 iPod/Accessory case he used for his larger/fatter older generation iPod. Overall, I'd say it's a wash between the two products. The timbuk2 case uses velcro, while this uses a drawstring, but other than that, this is a very similar product in terms of size and amount of padding. it really is like a tiny "sleeping bag". We had hoped this would be more suitable for his new, thinner iPod, but it's actually just a "fat" and large as the other case. It does hold the iPod well, but with plenty of room to spare. We decided to keep it due to its low price and quality, and will use it for the iPod, but if you're buying it for your iPod, do expect that it will have extra room inside for other items.
I also tried this bag on my Canon SD300 digital elph camera. It fits the camera well but wasn't the right solution for my space-saving needs. As with the iPod, there was a lot of extra room in the bag when I put the camera in. There was about an inch and a half of extra space between the top of the camera and the top of the bag, and almost an inch of extra from the side of the camera to the side of the bag. This would be a GREAT camera bag for your small camera if you were carrying it without extra protection, but if you're space-minded and looking to stick it inside another bag (such as a purse), you may want to keep looking.
Oh, and just a warning to you: If you purchase the LIME color, it will be neon construction-sign yellow. Just so you know.
Looks can be deceiving.......2007-02-21
Not quite what I was expecting. Looks like a leather case, but this is flimsy stretchy material. There is no access to any of the buttons and I wouldn't think that its very protective. Makes for a pretty site in my junk drawer...
