The cables are fine. Work as designed. However... I had to pretty much order them in the dark as they were described only as HDMI cables including the length. There are many diffrerent types of HDMI cables on the market which are designed for different technologies. This allowed me to use my HD (1080i) TV as a pc monitor connecting to one of the HDMI ports on my TV to the pc with a dvi video card. Having a 52 inch monitor is pretty cool. The TV was not as forgiving of the video mode selected as 'normal' pc monitors, but when I finally chose a compatible mode on the PC everything worked like a breeze.

purchased 10 f00t hdmi cable for my sony bravia 46" hidef tv that i installed on the wall. not only did this cable replace about 3 rca cables or more it enhances the quality of the picture by getting this item from amazon i saved $32 plus free shipping you can't beat that if you should buy a hidef tv don't buy the cables offered at the place of purchase get these save money and just as goood if mounting on a wall get the 10' cables to be sure you have enough better to have more than to be short

I temporarily replaced an existing "Monster" HDMI cable with this one just to see if there'd be any difference. I couldn't see a bit of difference. Bottom line, Same S-"#@, different smell. Your choice, pay for the name or only pay for what you're getting. An HDMI cable that does a fine job.

I use two of these cables to attach my HD DVD and Blue Ray players to my plasma TV. They work fine, especially for the price. Digital cables either work or they don't. Not like the old days when cheap analog cables could affect the quality of the signal.

I have an older HDTV (1080i) that has 1 DVI HD input and 2 component HD video inputs but no HDMI. I use my component inputs for my digital cable receiver and HDDVD player. I used this cable to hook up my PS3 to the DVI connection and it works just fine. Great product for a great price.

Despite what you may have heard, all HDMI cables are not created equal. A $1 HDMI cable is not the same as a $25 cable or a $100 cable. But this doesn't mean that a $100 cable is better, or that you need expensive (or even high quality) HDMI cables for all purposes. Construction quality, cable design, cable thickness (gauge) and connector quality can all play a role in the success you'll have with an HDMI cable. And the longer your cable requirement (and the higher your bandwidth needs), the more important the cable construction.
Yes, HDMI is a digital signal but this does NOT mean that you either "have a signal or you don't." Cheaply constructed HDMI cables can have not only mechanical failures (worn out solder joints over time, ill-fitting connectors), but electrical failures as well, and these can be represented either by visible distortion ("sparklies," lines, dropouts or pixilation), or by incompatibilities with certain high bandwidth HDMI sources and displays.
This is not to say that you need to pay $50, $100 or more on well-known brand HDMI cables in order to get good results, but when you buy "no name" cables (particularly from unknown marketplace sellers), you're taking a risk - you might get something decent, or you might not. And is it really worth it, to save a couple of dollars on the cable, when it may cost you hours of debugging to determine exactly what's wrong with your picture or sound in your high end home theater system?
As the editor of a home theater publication (Big Picture Big Sound), I've had the opportunity to own, evaluate and use many high-end high definition components and displays as well as a variety of HDMI and component video cables. I've used high-end name brand cables as well as no-name plain plastic-wrapped HDMI cables made in China. Some of the cables I've ordered via Amazon marketplace sellers don't even match the picture of the item.
But the "Cables To Go" HDMI cables I've bought from Amazon have been consistently high quality, with strong mechanical connections and excellent reliability. This specific cable (5 meter "Velocity" model), is currently happily in use between an HD cable box and a Sanyo HD projector in one of our writers' home theater systems. It hasn't caused us one lick of trouble.
Cables to Go (aka "Impact Acoustics") is an American company, based in Ohio, specializing in all types of cables, connectors and switching components. They may not be a household name, but they're a solid brand with a proven track record of quality and reliability.
Many of the "cheaper" cables offered by marketplace sellers come with hidden costs that you won't see until check-out, namely high shipping and handling fees. But Cables To Go cables bought from Amazon.com can be shipped free (orders over $25), which brings their price down to an extremely reasonable level.
Don't be taken in by the claims of high-priced cable manufacturers, but neither should you believe that a $1 or $2 no-name cable is going to be the equivalent of a cable from a reputable brand. The truth lies somewhere in between.

HDMI Cables why so Expensive.......2007-05-12
I do not know if spending $60-$80 for a 16ft HDMI cable at BB or CC would have given me any better a picture than this one that I spent $20 for. I use Comcast Cable and the picture on the HD channels, i.e. Discovery Channel, are so sharp you amost feel like the images on the screen are right there in the room with you. Shipping was outstanding, received the cables 4 days after I ordered them. Have always had good expeience with Amazon.com.
HDMI cable without the MONSTER price.......2007-02-24
A funny thing about digital signals, is that they are either a 1 or a 0. Unlike analogue, where quality can degrade or time or distance, in digital you either get the signal or you don't. That being said, this is a great cable, it works well, and it's drastically less expensive than MONSTER cables. I'm sure someone will argue my logic, as they can't believe that less expensive cables could ever do the same job, but this product works and you'll be happy with it.

Purchased to hook up my DISH HD tuner to new SONY LCD projection television (wanted to reduce the number of component cables used). Picture appears to be fine on both standard and high definition channels. It would have been ridiculous to spend a lot more for a Monster cable, especially since I only receive 6 HD channels. This cable works just fine (please note, that if you have a lot of wireless transmission equipment near your cables, you may want to purchase Monster cable for its heavy shielding to ensure prevention of any inteference). I did however, purchase a HDMI to HDMI Monster cable for hooking up my SONY upscaling DVD player (both purchased on Amazon). In that case I wanted to ensure that I received the best DVD picture possible for my movie collection. I hope this helps Amazon viewers to decide which cables to purchase; and to possibly save a few bucks when purchasing DVI/HDMI video cables.

I recieved my cable a day or two ago and used it to connect my satellite reciever to my HDTV. WOW! Great picture quality. This was the smartest $12 I've ever spent. This is a high-grade, high quality HDMI/DVI cable. Make sure you use a set of audio cables for sound, though. This cable transmits VIDEO ONLY.

Even though this is listed under games, and not cables, and there are three question marks after the word monster, I decided to take a chance with this cable. I got it brand new and sealed with shipping for 12bucks. I was happy I did, as I did recieve a "true" monster cable, and I am using it for my cable box (with only has a DVI imput) to my high def TV. The picture is outstanding, and yes there are debates that even using a "generic" hdmi cable will give the same results. Some techs say yes, some say no, and I say there is a big difference. I had a RCA cheapo hdmi cable. Not only did it break, the monster cable provides a picture that blows the RCA cable away. I believe this might be monsters lower end cable, but its still good. I dont believe in paying a hundred bucks for cables, so I buy all of monsters low end cables from Amazon or EBAY. I have a set of composite, a component, and audio from Monster, and they are are excellent. For 13bucks, (less then the RCA, think I paid 30bucks at Walmart) and for the same as a generic cable (which a bought, cables to go, believe me its junk) this is the way to go for a great picture without getting ripped off at retail stores.
