Customer Reviews:
Great item and very happy with transaction.......2007-12-27
This was exactly as stated, the person loves it and I'm completely satisfied with the whole transaction. Amazon has great prices for sure.
Great, great device, but..........2007-12-26
It is a great device, well up to the hype. I only wish it would accept more video formats than m4v, like the universally accepted MPG. I really like it and enjoy it every day. What I like most is its absolutely fluid integration with iTunes, which happens to be my music and video application. Great pod, Apple!
Quick service---great product---Great price.......2007-12-26
The ipod is in perfect condition and is new like you specified. Very Quick service. It made a wonderful gift for my mother-in-law.
Apple doesn't disappoint.......2007-12-26
Bought this primarily for car use and it works really well in that capacity. The menus are a bit cubersome to go through but resorting the playlists on iTunes helped. Wish it was a bit more integrated into the car stereo, at this point the only setting I can control from the car is the volume, going up and down the playlist (forward/rewind) would be helpful too.
You need the newest operating system!!!.......2007-12-26
Please know that if you get the iPod nano and you have a Mac/Apple you have to have the newest operating system. That means you have to have Mac OS X v10.4.8. You can't use it if you have Panther OS X 10.3.9. So you have to spend an additional $129 for a new operating system! Making the total for an iPod $129 more!

Amazon.com Product Description
What if one device could help you navigate anywhere in the U.S. and Canada, while offering travel tips, storing your favorite tunes and photos, providing translation assistance, and more? That device is here, and it's not much bigger than a deck of cards. The Garmin nüvi 350 is set to revolutionize what we expect from a GPS navigation device, or from any device for that matter.
The nüvi 350 is a portable GPS navigator, traveler's reference, and digital entertainment system, all in one. View product demo (requires Flash).

Design
With a total weight of 5.1 ounces and slim measurements of 3.87 x 2.91 x 0.87 inches (WxHxD), the nüvi 350 is just right for the pocket or purse. A bright, 64,000-color display dominates the front of the device and a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels means that there's plenty of room for displaying map data and other elements of the device's interface. An SD memory card slot is provided for expansion software, such as a points of interest database, media files and electronic guides (see below). The flip-up antenna includes an MCX-type connector for connecting the unit to an external GPS antenna. Meanwhile, a powerful built-in speaker resides on the back of device. A built-in lithium ion battery will give you for to eight hours of battery life, depending on use. In addition to an AC charger, the unit also ships with a 12-volt power adapter for vehicle charging, as well as a windshield suction cup mount.
Fortunately, Garmin has made it easy to interface with the nüvi 350's 700 megabytes of onboard memory, thanks to "plug-and-play" USB mass storage support. Just plug the device into your computer's USB port and you've got instantaneous access to all the audio books, music, photos, supplemental maps and other data on the nüvi 350's internal and SD card memory.
Navigation
The nüvi 350 is first and foremost a personal GPS device. Wherever you go -- in your car or on foot-- the device offers extremely accurate position data, thanks to a high-sensitivity integrated GPS receiver by SiRF and WAAS-enabled, 12-satellite reception. Combined with detailed maps of the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico the nüvi 350 provides automatic routing, turn-by-turn voice directions, and touchscreen control-- making it easy to find your way anywhere. Plus, the unique "text-to-speech" feature calls out turns by street name, and you can choose from either 2D or 3D mapping perspectives when you're viewing your route on the display. Additionally, the nüvi 350 is compatible with Garmin's GTM 10 FM TMC traffic receiver*, which allows users to avoid traffic tie-ups by simply pushing a button that will calculate a new route.
As mentioned, the nüvi 350 comes packed with mapping data for North America, but you can can also load up your custom points of interest. Set up proximity alerts for school zones, safety cameras, and more using Garmin's free POI (points of interest) loader program (available from garmin.com).
The device automatically calculates the fastest route and provides voice-prompted turn-by-turn directions along the way. |
Tools for the Journey
Navigation is just part of the journey, and the nüvi 350 is one of the first devices to recognize that. The built-in "Travel Kit" offers an MP3 player, an audio book player from Audible.com, a jpeg-format picture viewer, a world travel clock with time zones, a currency converter, a measurement converter, and a calculator.
In addition to the included travel tools, additional software add-ons are available, such as the Garmin Language Guide, with data provided by Oxford University Press. This software suite contains a multilingual word bank, phrase bank, and five bilingual dictionaries. The multilingual word bank and phrase bank supports nine languages and dialects, including American English, British English, French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, European Portuguese, European Spanish, and Latin American Spanish. Now you can look up and translate more than 17,000 words or 20,000 phrases per language -- right in the palm of your hand. Through the unit's text-to-speech interface, users can get a spoken pronunciation of each entry in the word bank, along with gender and part of speech information.
Another useful add-on software package, the Garmin Travel Guide, is loaded with information provided by Marco Polo. These guides put in-depth travel information such as reviews and recommendations for restaurants, tourist attractions, and more at your fingertips. The software allows you to navigate to an address or search points of interest-- places like hotels, restaurants, shopping, and tourist attractions. The nüvi 350 automatically calculates the fastest route and provides voice-prompted turn-by-turn directions along the way. The unit also audibly announces the name of upcoming streets-- letting you keep your eyes on the road while navigating through busy traffic and tricky roadways. And if you stray off course, the nüvi 350 automatically calculates the quickest way to get back on track.
*Traffic services available only in select cities where RDS-TMC coverage exists. Requires the GTM 10 FM TMC traffic receiver and subscription fee to enable traffic capability.
What's in the Box
nüvi 350, travel kit, vehicle suction cup mount, carrying case, 12-24 volt adapter cable, dashboard disk, USB interface cable, sample language guide content, sample MP3s, and quick reference guide.
Customer Reviews:
Intuitive, great audio, accurate map, ghost addresses.......2007-12-27
I just received the GPS after reading some of the excellent reviews. To me, the unit is excellent in every way, except one. I rated the unit 4 stars because the address database does not delete obsolete addresses, so that you may travel to empty buildings and ghost locations where businesses once existed. When testing the unit out in our community, we selected four businesses to see how useful the Find function was; it got two right, but two others, "Waffle House" and "Home Depot", were at locations abandoned over 15 years ago. What really irritated me was that my place of business is listed wrong; the previous business that moved out over 20 years ago appears on the map instead of the actual, current business. It's ghost looms on my map as I travel to work.
No more getting lost, no more printed directions!.......2007-12-27
We Own it for a year now, and have been using this Nuvi frequently, and I can say now that it's been great, and my wife is not as stressed out when we drive. I keep saying that just by that it paid itself off. No more printing directions, or getting lost. We went on numerous trips to D.C., Boston, Maine, Rhode Island, Illinois, Texas, upstate NY - and it's been very helpful - re-calculates very fast if you've taken a shortcut that you know, and you can safely take scenery routes, or other small roads. We live in NYC, and sometimes only in Manhattan it has issues b/c of the skyscrapers around, but everywhere else it works great. It's a great help if you're flying somewhere and renting a car - you know you don't need to worry about getting online directions. I turned it on on the plane several times and it's cool that you can record the speed and it can stay in the memory (so I have my max speed at 496mph). Spells out street names and turns clearly, but better in American English accents than other selections. Fits comfortably in pockets.
Comparing to TomTom, on Nuvi you can change directions while driving - which is great because you don't have to pull over to do that (as some of my friends had to and can become really annoying). Nuvi is Easy to use, nothing complicated, you don't need instructions to use it, everything is very common sense. I see that it's cheaper now than a year ago.
Highly recommend this one.
LOVE MY NUVI !.......2007-12-27
This product is great!... have only been using it a few weeks now; it's been a godsend when I'm in unfamiliar area. I'm in field sales and I just wish I'd gotten this sooner. I prop it up in the compartment above my radio and it works just fine (so didnt need to put suction cup on glass and be a tip off to would-be thieves that a GPS might be in glove compartment) Recommend it HIGHLY !
A must have for travelers.......2007-12-27
I own a 360 and just bought my wife the 350 for her car. I have not owned any other brand, but the Magellan used by Hertz is terrible. Being in sales I find the Nuvi to be a MUST HAVE when ever I am in another city or need to find a gas station, restaurant, hotel or whatever quickly. I still use it when I am home but find that my old "trial and error" routes are better because the Nuvi only looks at distance from A to B.
I have not subscribed the the Traffic funtion so I cannot comment on that. Lastly, do not be surprised if some new destinations are not yet on the pre-loaded maps that come with the device. Overall, though this has been a fantastic purchase. Also, the Bluetooth function in the 360 is not worth the price so stick with the 350.
Very satisfied.......2007-12-26
The product has performed very well for my needs. It occassionally is off on very small or unpaved roads but on paved roads it is remarkably accurate. The size and mount have been perfect for my Subaru where the base attaches to the storage space in my mid upper dashboard. This allows for rapid removal and no sign shows of having such a device which presumably deters theft. The mp3 player is very mediocre and my family refuses to let me play it. Perhaps that relates to my musical selection. Service has been very good as I had a challenge loading topographical maps and they walked me through the process.

Customer Reviews:
Nice Camera.......2007-12-27
My old camera was a Nikon 3100, which I liked. The Canon A570IS is the same size and shape (which I like) and has many nicer featers. Of course, the higher resolution is great. This camera is very easy to use and has many features I will rarely use, but are nice to have. This camera is not one of the super small ones, but is very easy to hold. I would recommend this camera for casual photographers.
Love this PowerShot A570 IS.......2007-12-27
I brought this camera to replace my other PowerShot. I love Cannon products, so I got this PowerShot A570 IS. I love the 7.1 mega pixels, becuse the other camera I had was only a 3.1 mega pixels.
I use this camera alot for my business, as I take pictures of Interior Design work, for my clients.
This camera is light weight, and small enough to put in my purse. Takes great sharp pictures.
I recommend this Canon PowerShot A570 IS.
Great--inspite of slowness.......2007-12-26
I am impressed with the quality of the LCD. The steadying feature is great, as well. Many people have complained of the long time it takes to save pictures to the card between shots, but I found that by changing to fresh batteries or emptying the SD card processing time was much faster, more like my A95 from a few years ago. My biggest complaint is the unwieldy button for removing the SD card and batteries; it takes me two hands to push the release and slide the cover out. Otherwise, well worth the money--the photos are excellent quality.
A lot in a little.......2007-12-26
camera. This camera has a lot of bang for your buck. If you use it primarily on auto mode, all you do is point, hold down the shutter button half way, and shoot. Everything else is automatic. You do not need a lens cap, as the lens automatically portrudes when you switch on the camera, and retracts when the camera is off. It has a nice size LCD to either focus with or see your end result. It also has a viewfinder which I use for longer distance shooting with its 4X power zoom lens. It is compact with all the bells and whistles you might want. The movie mode is very easy to use and the sound is better than most other cams. The Image Stabilizer keeps the cameras outcome steady no matter how much your hand shakes (you don't need a tripod most of the time). The only con I have is that the switch to the zoom surrounds the shutter button and if you have large fingers you have to be extra careful. But, this is just a minor annoyance. A few years ago I purchased the Canon S50 5MP for three times the price of this baby, the 570 IS is by more the easiest and best results, particularly with the face recognition feature. By the way I highly suggest that you use rechargeable AA NIMH batteries.
To avoid disappointment with the A570 IS ..............2007-12-26
This is a fantastic camera. But to avoid a number of "problems" reported in other reviews, consider the following :
A) Memory Card : Memory cards are cheap enough these days that one should pony up for a 2 GB card. This will be good for 6 to 8 hundred shots in maximum resolution, minimum compression mode, and thousands of shots when shooting with lower resolution, higher compression. DO NOT get the standard performance card ( often labled 10x ). These have a maximum write speed of 1.5 mb / second, so a high resolution shot could take 4 to 5 seconds to offload to memory. Instead, purchase a medium performance card ( often labled 50x ) that has a write speed approaching 7.5 mb / second. This should get your maximum resolution shots offloaded in a second or less. The ultra performance cards ( often labled 120x ) are overkill for this camera, but a good candidate for 10 to 12 megapixel cameras.
B) Batteries : By all means get a set of 2500 or greater mah NiMH rechargables. Be advised that these batteries do not reach their full potential until they have been through 2 to 5 full charge/discharge cycles. I conditioned my batteries by fully charging them, then discharging them in an old style 2 cell pen light flashlight. By old style, I mean one of those old guys with the large incandescent bulb.
Do not use an led flashlight ( too low of a current drain ) or those using a "grain of wheat" bulb ( these bulbs have a lifetime of only 5 hours or so ). If you want NiMH that do not self discharge while just sitting around, look to the Sanyo eneloop batteries. Be advised, however, that these have a maximum charge of 2000 mah.
C) Charger : I can not recommend the chargers that charge these NiMH batteries in 15 minutes. To do so, they have to pump 10 amps into the little guys, causing excessive heating. This will lead to shorter battery life ...... how much I simply don't know. Get the simple overnight ( 6 to 8 hour ) charger with a set of 4 batteries. This will give you a set for your camera with a back up set when those get exhausted. I use an Energizer 4 cell charger ( $7.95 on sale ) which is 3"x3" and an inch thick. Can be packed anywhere.
D) Battery Door : Yep .... the battery door can be a challenge when one first gets the camera. But when you know the process, it's a snap. Hold the camera upside down with the lens facing you. Slide the locking tab toward your body and at the same time slide the entire battery cover to the right. Tada ..... its open. And when you close the door, be sure to follow the same procedure in reverse. One MUST do this to insure the door is fully closed and locked.
E) False Low Battery indication : There are really two low battery indicators on this camera. The first is the red "low battery" icon, and the second is the following message ..... "change the batteries". Use the "change the batteries" message to change out the batteries. I have found that one can minimize false red "low battery" icon displays by :
fully conditioning the batteries ( see B above ), making sure the battery door is properly closed and locked ( see D above ), and wipeing the battery terminals with a dry cloth before inserting into the camera. This removes any oil contamination from your fingers.
Part of the problem here is that NiMH batteries have a maximum battery charge of 1.2 volts per cell, compared to 1.5 volts per cell for conventional AA batteries. This problem is helped by the Sanyo eneloop batteries, which have a full charge voltage closer to the 1.5 volt per cell value.
F) Prevent lens damage : ALWAYS store the camera with the mode switch in the Playback position. This way, if the power switch is inadvertantly pressed when the camera is stored ( storage bag, pocket, or purse ), the lens will not deploy. If stored with the mode switch in the shooting position, and the power button is depressed, the lens will try to deploy and may very well jamb against something in the storage bag, pocket, or purse.
Hope these hints help you to fully enjoy an excellent camera.

The wheel is awful!!!.......2007-12-27
I am the owner of a 2nd generation iPod Nano. For Christmas I asked my wife for an mp3 player upgrade to my current 4GB nano. I received a Zune (2nd Gen. 80GB); this device went back the very next day because the stores were closed on Christmas day (problem: you can't play back on your computer from the Zune). I exchanged the Zune for this 80GB iPod Classic. After nearly slamming it against the wall, I decided that it's going back today. The MAJOR problem is the clickwheel. This thing's sensitivity is seriously flawed. Example: Try playing a game that comes loaded onto the device, here you will see a prime example. It doesn't have the sensitivity of older iPods and as I get increasingly more frustrated (I try it softly, harder, hardest...), what ends up happening is that eventually you'll press down too hard and exit whatever mode you're in. This happens everywhere: as you're browsing music files, images, etc... What really frustrates me about the issue is that Steve Jobs has sold more of these devices than the combined sales of bread on Earth and there are so many personnel employed at Apple that one would assume this issue would be detected and addressed especially when it probably costs $3.00 to manufacture and it sells for almost $300.00!
Please see other reviews of this "Classic" and you will see many other customers complaining of the same issue. I'm done with mp3 players until these (Zune & iPod) issues get solved and until they create a way of replacing the lithium battery without having to send the device back to the manufacturer (and risking getting the thing all scratched up or beat up).
Apple 80 GB ipod classic.......2007-12-27
This is a great product! With 80 gigs we can download movies, lots of songs and tv shows all on the ipod at the same time. Makes a long trip seem to move faster! Earbuds are comfortable; screen is big. We highly recommend!
Compatible with my old 20GB iPod Classic accessories.......2007-12-27
The best part is this iPod has been compatible with my Bose SoundDock from my 20GB classic. I like that there was no need to buy new one for this one. And the storage amount is incredible. Also, has been great for traveling with my 7 year son on the plane, where he watched shows we download from iTunes.
so cool.......2007-12-26
The i-pod is so cool, it is better than I thought it would be. My order was not received in the specified time. I contacted Amazon and they sent me a replacement because the original was never delivered. I got it in time for Christmas.
WOW! This thing is awesome!.......2007-12-26
The iPod Classic has had TOO MANY one star reviews by people who don't even own the iPod or had shipping problems. DON'T listen to those! The click wheel is a little less sensitive than the previous 5th gen iPod video, but is still very usable (the only problem is that iPod cases with click wheel covers won't work). But it is still an amazing product. The cover flow works good and the only doubles I have are albums with more than one artist (which does bug me a little.) I love the split screen effect and all the new interface. If you want a nice MP3 player that's easy to use and has all the bells and whisels, plus can hold your entire music collection and still have over half of the space left... you will like the new iPod Classic! I will update if I have anymore problems.

Customer Reviews:
A Premium Pedometer.......2007-12-26
This is indeed a premium pedometer. It is easy to set up and easy to carry. It is very light and yet strong. It is also very secured with a strap that holds it to your clothes for added security. It is a good purchase.
Accurate and Easy to Use.......2007-12-25
I have really enjoyed this product mostly because it is so easy to use. I can slip it in a pocket and pull it out after an entire day, or after a walk - and have a pretty good estimate of both my steps and distance. I also like the aerobic step function, as it's key to a good workout. I honestly can't find anything wrong with this pedometer - I love it.
Great product.......2007-12-25
I am very pleased with this product. I purchased two, one for myself and one for my wife - we take daily walks. I plot my stats each day and it's fun to see progress and I am motivated to exceed my previous distances.
Great Pedometer!.......2007-12-25
After reading a lot of reviews on this pedometer, we purchased 2 of them. We are very happy with them. It seems to perform just as stated. It seems to be quite accurate. We now can tell how much more walking we need to obtain the suggested 10,000 steps per day. We make sure that we put the unit on first thing in the morning and don't take it off until bed time. A great product for anyone concerned with their health. The price is very reasonable for a product like this. And Omron's reputation is something you can depend on. I would highly recommend this product.
So much better.......2007-12-24
This Pedometer is so superior to any I have tried in the past. It really helps you obtain your goal each day. I would definately used the additional clip that is enclosed as it has prevented me from losing it a couple of times. Highly recommended!
