I purchased this cable to hook my laptop up to a 26" 720p HDTV, and it serves its purpose ideally. The picture quality is pristine and works beautifully for watching standard or HD movies and can crank out 1080p as well. The price was also easy to swallow. If this cable fits your needs, buy it!

This allowed me to use my HD (1080i) TV as a pc monitor connecting to one of the HDMI ports on my TV to the pc with a dvi video card. Having a 52 inch monitor is pretty cool. The TV was not as forgiving of the video mode selected as 'normal' pc monitors, but when I finally chose a compatible mode on the PC everything worked like a breeze.

I ordered this cable to hook up a PS3 to a HDTV and it didn't work. I tried to use this cable to hook up a HD-DVR to a HDTV and it didn't work. I took this cable to my friend's house and tried to hook up a PS3 and HD-DVR to his HDTV, and same results. I got a HDMI-HDMI cable from Monoprice and the cable worked right out of the box.

I had purchased a HDMI cable about a year ago for $35 at a store and took it back because it actually made my picture darker and poorer, so I took it back. I stumbled across this for super cheap, it was $5 after shipping and it makes my picture quality sharper than ever before and is a much better cable than the expensive name brand I had bought before.

When we bought our new HD television from Best Buy we also bought an up conversion DVD player because we heard they delivered a better DVD picture. The HDMI cable they sold cost $70. The Amazon cable only cost about $3.99 or something like that. It came in about 2 days and we saved about $66. This is a no-brainer!!

Don't go out and buy the uber expensive cables there is no reason a hdmi cable is an hdmi cable regardless of who makes it. That being said this is a unbelievable deal works great no problems pick one up today.

After a lot of on-line shopping for a HDMI cable, I was amazed to see how much some vendors are willing to charge for a 6' hunk of wire. Then, I found the StarTech HDMIMM6 cable for $2.11. No typo, folks... $2.11 for a new HDMI cable. I was skeptical, but I was willing to take the risk for the potential savings. With shipping, the total came to just over $7. To make a long story short, I received the cable in just a few days, and it worked flawlessly right out of the package.
Now, I'm sure there are the purists among you that say there's no way you can buy a quality HDMI cable for $2, but when you consider how cheap wire is and how simple it is to build a cable on an assembly line, $2 isn't unreasonable. Heck, you can buy a Sony DVD player for under $75, so why not a cable for $2? Recent on-line reviews confirm that while the difference in quality between expensive and inexpensive cables can be measured with sophisticated electronic gear, the human eye can't detect those differences, so don't fall for the "high-price" hype.
