the shelf works just fine. i am a bit dissapointed that i paid $40 for it. doesn't seem worth it to me. it is made of plastic, not what i thought it was. does hold vcr, dvd and cable control boxes.

The product seems flimsy but it serves its intended purpose. The screw legs didn't seem to fit the curve of the back of the tv but after a few days of the weight of the DVD Player (or whatever device you put on top) they seem to adjust.

This item will do the work it is designed for, keep in mind that is cheap so you will receive a plastic unit. Just make sure you buy it somewhere else. My unit arrived broken and I needed it ASAP so I couldn't send it back. I glued and painted it but you can still see it is broken. They just grabbed the item and attached a shipping label to it. No protection at all and sent at the mercy of delivery guys that don't care about the content of a package.

The image on the web does not show the small (6 inch) metal swivel base on the under side. Such a small base does not provide stable support for anything having a footprint much larger than 6 inches. I found it useless for my intended use and felt mislead by the image they provide. To add injury to insult, they charged me $10 shipping twice, one for the return.
