I purchased this TV wall mount to hang a 60" plasma televsion that weights close to 200lbs. Because of the size of my TV, I had no problems finding the recommended three studs to anchor the wall part of this base to. The TV part went together easily and then it's just a matter of slipping the TV onto the wall mount part. They give you tilt option brackets but I used the provided fixed option brackets as it allows the TV to be closer to the wall. You really don't need to tilt a plasma unless you have some major reflection issues. Had lots of extra parts left over as they provide parts for every conceivable situation.
Parts are well laid out and easy to identify with their codes. I did snap off one lag bolt into a very dry and hard stud but was able to drill a new hole above the factory one and all worked out well.

After much researching, we finally decided purchasing this product from Amazon at a much cheaper price compared to competitors. We received the product quicker than we anticipated. Quick, simple installation. Make sure you have an extra pair of hands to mount the TV to the wall bracket. I love the fact you can adjust and angle your TV with ease once mounted..so far so good.

I bought this mount for a Samsung 40" LCD TV that needs to be at an angle to the wall when viewed (I previously bought the tilt-only version for another TV that is viewed straight on). Both are excellent quality and easy to install with very basic tools. This mount allows you to store the TV flat against the wall and pull it out (very easily) for viewing. I did extensive research and found nothing approaching the Sanus mounts for quality. My only complaint is that they should include an additional set of bolts of a length in between the long and short sets included with the package.

I have three Sanus TV mounts and all three were easy to set up. First attaching the back plate to the wall studs with lag bolts (just big screws that hold the plate to the wall). Then you screw in two support brackets to the back of the TV. Sanus provides a variety of screw sizes to fit many TVs mounting holes. Once you have the mounting brackets attached to your TV, then you insert the two rods you see in the picture (top and bottom). While inserting the rods, you run them threw the mounting arm. Tighten down the clamps on the rods and you now have a mounting arm ready to attach to the plate on the wall. This is the most difficult part, getting help to lift the TV and hang the mounting arm on the wall plate. But once that is done, all you do is tighten screws at the bottom of the mounting arm and you are done. Now the TV is easy to articulate where you need it. In mounting all three of my TVs on the wall, I used the Sanus mount and it was a no hassle easy to do process. I'm very pleased with the quality and I'm an engineer... (meaning I'm picky)

A Rock-Solid, Versatile Mount.......2007-10-28
The VMAA26B is well engineered and solidly built. The design and construction pay off in this mount's adaptability to various installation situations and the ease of adjusting the viewing angle and position.
I needed to place my 42" TV precisely within an opening in existing built-in cabinetry, have it flush to the cabinet when not in use, and adjustable for different viewing angles. No problem for the Sanus with its 26" articulated arm. The full measurements and instruction manual on the Sanus website gave me confidence before buying that the mount would meet my needs and that I could do the installation. One question I had was promptly addressed on the phone.
It's worth noting (as emphasized in the instructions) that the mount MUST be screwed into wooden studs. You'll need a good stud-finder and some test holes if the studs are behind thick paneling, as in my case.

It did take us a few hours to properly install it, but after it was done we could swivel our tv anyway we wanted. You need two people to get that tv up there, especially the big ones. Also, ours is a little crooked and it is getting worse, could it be warping? We have to spend more time on the installation I guess, but the benefits of what this mount cad do is worth the work.

JT's comments as well as many who rate this item highly I must say I agree.
I DID run into several installation problems that related to a tool missing from the box: A Hex wrench. The one they included was not needed, but for the pivots on the swing arms. The one NEEDED, was not included and made the work a bit confusing. As well, as the directions made ZERO mention of using that hex wrench. Ok here is the story.
There are four short, and two long [ 4" ] vice bars on the back...You are supposed to thread a screw into the four short ones, then loosen them then tighten them..BUT they don't tell you this until the end. The wrench I needed to do such wasn't included. Had devil of a time finding the correct size hex. And I have almost every one on hand....Taped the one I used to the back of the unit for later use...that bad.
If you don't loosen these vices first, you'll have a tough time puting the screws through them...
If no hex, you cannot loosen and tighten them to the cross-bars correctly.
LASTLY, the wires on the back will take some doing. I have a Hole in the wall via which all cords travel. I recommend NOT using too many wires, as when I move the TV out to a 90degree angle for cooking in the Kitchen, the cords are a bit of a problem. Tried some cleaver things like zipties, and weights etc. BUT now probably going to use a thin-wire technique and do away with many wires.
VERY Sturdy unit, HIGHLY qualified for my 42"54 Samsung TV that weighs about 50# on own. Swivel had me nervouse with their short wall screws, so opted for 4" models of high grade steel
DON'T Over torque...When It gets tight, give it another 1/4 turn.
TAKES TWO people and get a good stud finder, and a good yet, small level.
Mine is a bit off by a 1/4 inch on right side [correctable when I'm in the mood ] and not noticable, only to me, I guess....
ALSO, you may need to add rubber bumpers like for furniture on back of TV to prevent wall bumping...

If you want a great swivel wall mount get this one. It's a piece of cake to mount if you have 2 people. Rock steady once mounted. Easy to move and stays in place. When it's against the wall you can't tell the difference compared to a static wall mount. Righ now attached to a 37" Panasonic plasma but will easily change when I upgrade. Can get close to 80 deg angle without a problem. Make sure your wires are long enough to move the unit around and that you don't hit the wall with the the corner of the TV.

I'm put up my Sharp 46" LCD with no problem. I was able install it on my own following the instructions and set everything up until the part where you need to place the TV on the wall mount part. I had to have my wife help as the TV is way too heavy for me to lift and at the same time place on the mount. It was a very simple install and took me about an hour which includes finding studs. I'm very happy with this mount as it allows me to turn the TV in any way I like. I would recommend it to anyone who's getting a mount.

Ordered this from Amazon to hang a 40 inch LCD. Directions were easy to follow. Toughest part was locating the studs. Had to buy longer screws to reach the studs because there was extra plaster-type material overlying the dry wall.

Good strong mount. Tight to the wall, ½ inch thick. Easy to mount, I used it for a 15 inch LCD in the kitchen. It mounts flat to the wall with no adjustments which was fine for my application. I used the VM-1 in my bedroom (hold 50lbs.) which is fully adjustable and is also a great product.

A well-built adjustable support for larger TVs.......2007-05-06
If you have a larger or heavier TV, of if you have a wide or oddly placed stud spacing in your walls, this high capacity bracket is for you. Unlike some cheaper brands or models, this is a well-built, solid product that you can tell by look and feel will support your TV. Plus, it is adjustable so that you can have the bracket be anchored into 3 (not just 2) studs for added support and security. Many brackets are only about 24 - 30 inches wide and will only span 2 studs if the studs are at 16" on center. In my wall, the studs where I wanted to mount my TV were located so that I could only have anchored into 2 studs if I used a 24" - 30" wide bracket. This bracket is extendable and adjustable, so I was able to anchor it into 3 studs, so I have no worries.
Well-designed, study, and pretty easy to assemble. The hardest part was driving the big lag bolts into the wall, but I am confident that my TV is not going anywhere!
Further, it comes with optional extension brackets for really big TVs - leave them off if you don't need them. Also, the kit comes with a variety of hardware (fasteners etc.) included so that you can be sure you have the bolts etc. you need to fit your TV. On top of this, you have the choice of mounting your TV either low-profile (close to the wall with no tilt) or with the included tilting brackets. With the tilting brackets, the back of the TV is about 2.5 inches off the wall - which actually helps a little with ventilation and wire access etc.
One word of advice: shop around on line for the best price on this item - if you buy locally at your local big box retail store, you will definitely pay too much and some internet retailers will also gouge you. I saved about $ 100 of retail by shopping around online. Try bizrate and other similar online shopping comparison services to compare best prices.

After I bought a 50" flat screen PLASMA TV, choice to mount it on the wall or purchase another TV Stand Furniture was a hard one, why? Mounting it on the wall would be my first choice all along but it was difficult to find a right wall mount. I shopped around Best Buy, CostCo, and even online, and I had to buy two different wall mounts and returned them before I located this one in Amazon, the size, flexibilty, color, material, and price all seem to be right.
After I received the mount, it was great to see such a nice design and it is a suoperior in its category. I now mount my 50" TV on the wall without worrying about damage to my wall, the wall mount is very strong and easy to install. You don't need a paid professional to do this for you. I love it.

I used this wall mount on my Philips 37in. LCD, which has worked perfectly. Finding the right wall mount to fit Philips ridiculously large VESA 800mm x 400mm pattern was somewhat annoying. So if you are looking for a wall mount for this VESA pattern at a great price, this is it, let me save you tons of time and endless research. It is easy to install (about an hour and a half), and once mounted, the horizontal slide and tilting is effortless. This mount also has the feature to extend both horizontally and vertically. However I did not use the vertical extensions, but if you have a larger size set, these vertical extension will work great. Overall I am completely satisfied with this mount.

I recently purchased this mount to go with a 23" Samsung LCD. I had purchased a different one previously, but it didn't fit my TV very well, so I returned it and got this one. First off, this mount is very sturdy. It fits tightly to the wall and has a fairly low profile, which is both good and bad, and the black paint looks pretty good. The bad news is that it doesn't offer much more than this. Though it came with several choices of nuts and bolts for different sized TV's, which was nice, installation was a bit of a hassle. Also, as I mentioned previously, the low profile can be a disadvantage at times, especially when you need to get the ports on the back of your TV. Another thing that I didn't like, was that the mounting bar that screws into the back of my LCD is a bit longer than it needs to be, causing it to obscure one of my component video ports. It's not to big of deal, since I wasn't using it anyhow, but if I was, I wouldn't be too happy about that. All in all, it's a solid sturdy wall mount that offers good strength for the price and tilt functionality, but little else.

This Sanus tilting wall mount is the smaller version of the non-tilting one I use on my $6,000 50" Fujitsu plasma TV. It has all the ruggedness and strength of its bigger sibling, lots of mounting hardware for both the wall mounting and TV mounting, and provisions for locking the TV to the wall.
Thick, heavy gauge steel that's finished with a nice black paint, a smooth up/down tilt track and positive screw-clutch mechanizm completes the package. Very good straight-ahead instructions are included, too.
There are multiple holes to mate to your TV threads. The two brackets attach independantly to each side of the back of the TV.
Getting the whole thing onto the wall mount is as easy as tilting the TV bottom out, hooking the tops of the brackets over the wall mount, rotating the TV bottom down and flipping the locking tabs in place.
Once you get the wall mount bolted to the wall and the two brackets on the TV, it takes about 30 seconds to get the TV secured to the wall, which is great because you don't want to have to fumble and fool around trying to get "your precious" secured to the wall.
When I was shopping for the 32" Samsung LCD TV that is going onto this mount, I looked at some of the wall mounts they had at the store, and they were pitiful little things by comparison. I headed right home and ordered this one from Amazon.
This is a great medium-size wall mount, highly recommended.

I was concerned about two things when I was shopping for this product: 1)that it wouldn't hold my TV, and 2) that it was a cheap piece of junk because it was half the price of the next lowest priced similar mount. After owning this product for about a year, I can say that there are no problems with this product and I can highly recommend it to anyone.
I have a 37" plasma. After I put the bolts in the wall, I realized that this thing is sturdy. It also has a bar that you can put a padlock on to lock your TV into place. The assembly is easy. All you need is a drill, a pencil, a socket wrench, and a level.
Another thing that worried me was being able to repair the holes in the wall. I have to warn you that mounting a TV on your wall is a commitment. You put some sizable holes in your wall. I recently moved and had to repair the holes I made. I went to Home Depot and bought some $2 wood filler and some $4 spackle and some paint. With 2 minutes of effort, you could not tell that there was anything there. I even showed someone where the holes were and she didn't believe me that I had a 37" TV on the wall there.
Also, a similar product at any other store costs twice as much. The bottom line is that this is an excellent product at an excellent price. I highly recommend it.
