Simple and efficient.......2007-12-21
This is all you need. It is simple and easy. Do not buy anything more complicate than that.
Works very well, but switch is annoying.......2007-12-13
This device is only good for basic operations of forward/backwards of the slides and screen blanking. It does not move the mouse around or anything. It is easier to hold than the others I have used and that is a big plus.
The switch on the side is annoying as it is hard to move and if you leave it on, the battery will run down. They should have used a slide to power on style (with an off timer after non-use).
The laser pointer works well and the shape of the device makes it easy to hold steady.
Note that if you are presenting to a live audience, the laser pointer style is perfect. If you are presenting across the internet (e.g. GoTo meeting), then the laser is worthless and you should consider the more expensive ones that let you move the mouse cursor around.
good laser pointer.......2007-12-02
Targus Wireless Presenter with Laser Pointer
It works well, powerful laser for medium size rooms/classrooms.
battery life is ok, but you have to remember to shut it off.
I suggest using rechargeable batteries.
works also to change slide on presentations and switch to different applications, though it is easy to get confused
Works great.......2007-11-30
It does exactly what the product description said it would do, and exactly what I expected it to do for the price. It doesn't do a whole lot, but it does control my PowerPoint presentations well, and that's what I bought it for. I'm happy. The laser pointer maybe could have been a bit more powerful, but it wasn't expensive, so I'm not too worried.
Good range, worked with my Ubuntu OOo presentation.......2007-11-15
I purchased this product primarily for school use, and for my husband's presentations to area LUGs. It worked without any protest or installation on my Ubuntu laptop (running Open Office Presentation rather than PowerPoint). It goes forward, back, alt-tab, and blank screen perfectly. It's comfortable to grip, and the laser is easy to use during a presentation without having to reposition the remote in your hand. It worked perfectly for me the farthest away from the computer I wanted to be, which was approximately 10-15 feet away.

Customer Reviews:
Great device for most use.......2007-12-21
I don't do many presentations, but this is a very useful device to help 'de-tether' yourself from your laptop. It worked fine with OpenOffice and powerpoint and had good range. (even walked out of the room/around the corner and it worked - not sure about some reports of 20feet) Basically this thing just plain works and while it doesn't have some of the fancy features, I didn't find myself wanting them.
Pros:
- Small design
- No drivers required
- USB connector fits inside device for storage
- Good range
- Runs on standard AAA batteries
- foward/reverse buttons are also great for scrolling through a document or code samples. (while still discussing them from the other side of the room)
Cons:
- Laser pointer emulating the F5 key when you don't want/need it to. (when previewing an app in IE)
- Laser pointer could be brighter (but it's not that bad really)
Great Product!.......2007-12-19
The remote worked very well and with very good range in a large meeting room. The plug and play feature is really excellent - immediate and with no fear of software or install issues when plugging in for an instantaneous presentation on any computer system. The remote could be a tad smaller but fits comfortably in the hand. The laser pointer was a bit hard to see on a very bright presentation screen but this may have been more a function of the screen that the device since it worked well in other settings.
Perfect Presenter.......2007-12-18
This presenter is just what I needed for teaching classes. It is easy to use and has a screen black out button which is great for directing participants attention to flip chart activity. The presenter is comfortable to handle and works great. Very good product for those who conduct presentations or teach classes.
Much improved.......2007-12-01
This Kensington mouse is great for presenting up to 50 feet away. It's nice that the reciever fits into the unit itself, and the laser pointer won't activate unless the reciever has been removed from the base. The best bosus is that this model works on triple A batteries vs. the previous version that took watch batteries. Good small meeting room presentation device.
Great little gadget.......2007-11-29
Bought this for my husband, he is a Professor and uses it for presentations, he loves the advancer and the laser..a great tool!

Customer Reviews:
Didn't work at 35 degrees.......2007-12-25
Bought it because it was rated outdoor with a temperature range -30 to +45 degrees C. Hooked up in afternoon at 55 degrees F and it worked fine. Tonight at 35 degrees it didn't work. It's only controlling a 60 watt bulb. Bought it in and after about 20 minutes after it had warmed up
it started to work again. I paid a premium for 1 day delivery and product didn't meet it's spec.
Excellent item!.......2007-12-24
The wireless outdoor remote control system works very well: includes small red indicator lamp to show when the controlled unit is operating; provides signals that travel sufficiently long distances and through walls; has labeled buttons to assist in knowing whether a non-visible or external control has been turned "on" or "off"; arrived in packaging that was protective, yet easy to open.
And the price was modest.
Overall, I think this is a winner!
Not for cold outdoors.......2007-12-22
I bought this for a light in my unheated garage. The temps are at 32 degrees and it won't work but when I bring it into the house it works fine. Nice product if your plans are to use it in warmer temps.
special use for a pipe smoker.......2007-12-22
This item was probably overkill for me, but I'm lazy. I smoke pipes and when I'm in my comfy chair, I don't want to have to get up to turn on my vent fan (Honeywell window 2-way fan... see my good review for that item) if it isn't already on for some reason.
With this little gadget, I can turn it on and off anytime I want to light up, so I don't have to get up.
Works great, but of course I'm using it indoors.
Remote Stopped Working After a Week- Batteries?.......2007-12-12
Had it on the Xmas tree as it was hard to get to the plug. It stopped working with the remote. It is probably the battery but it was only hooked up a week- not good.

Customer Reviews:
Innovative, Practical Product For Many.......2007-12-10
Like lots of folks, I've wanted to bridge my home-theater system with my PC-based small music collection created from CD's, cassette tapes, and records that I own.
My first product of interest a few years ago was a WiFi product (from Creative, if memory serves) but I didn't want to shoe-horn another audio component into an already crowded cabinet. At the opposite end of the spectrum, there's Sonos, which looks fabulous, but with a price of about a grand for a basic setup, it was way out of my league.
Other products from D-Link, Squeezebox (now owned by Logitech), Roku, Zyxel and others (including Logitech's own Wireless Music System for PC), though affordable, always seemed to miss the mark for me in 1 or 2 major ways. At first glance, even this product (at $250 msrp) was too much to pay. I typically listen to music playing in the living-room while I'm working on my laptop in an adjacent room, so it was important for me to have a fully-functional remote that would allow easy navigation and display track info, and not have line-of-sight restictions (like infrared). In that respect, this product is perfect: everything you need to operate the system is on the iPod-like remote, and the only component that had to go in (or on) the stereo cabinet was the small receiver/charging cradle.
Performance-wise, I've had it for 5 days, and it's been fine. Logitech says a minimum 500 MB of RAM is needed, 1 GB recommended. My PC uses XP, SP2 and has 512 MB, and I've not experienced the dropouts or pauses reported by others. My WiFi (11g) is in the same room as the PC, and I've seen no conflict between that and the Bluetooth technology that this uses. The PC is in a second-floor study, streaming to a first-floor living room about 30-feet away. The Streampoint software natively supports any formats playable by Windows Media Player, iTunes, and Musicmatch. When in PC mode, it will play anything your PC will play through its' sound-card (including AAC), but you lose the functionality of the remote. This is helpful for certain radio stations that stream over the internet but aren't receivable with those programs.
My only MAJOR gripe is with Streampoint. It seems to work well, but if your PC is shared among several people in your home, Streampoint will stop running if you attempt to Login another User account. Unless this restriction is fixed in a future release, your PC pretty much has to be a dedicated, 1-account machine. If Streampoint will be a core-component of future Logitech products, hopefully any future improvements will be ported to the Wireless DJ.
Those who need or want bleeding-edge audiophile sound quality, 5.1 or video capability will NOT find it with this product. Introduced in 2006, Logitech has recently discontinued it, so the price is drastically lower than $250, ranging from CA$75 (refurb'd) to US$96 or so new when I was shopping.
Other products worth investigating (though more expensive) I think are the Roku SoundBridge and the D-Link DSM-120. I have not tried either, but for under $100 I think the Logitech Wireless DJ is a clever and useful appliance for those content with plain ol' stereo, if you can find one.
Great for the price.......2007-12-09
I have had this unit for about a month and I have not had an issue with wireless interruption like other users have commented on even though I have a wireless network running on the same frequency (although I think it could happen). It works as advertised with iTunes (including purchased content), as well as Windows Media Player. The best feature by far is the remote with a rechargeable battery that lists all your music and playlists. The screen size is ample and the backlighting is bright. The only downside I have found is that Logitech has not been updating its streampoint software to work with new music stores. Since MusicMatch was purchased by Yahoo and Yahoo chose to discontinue future versions of the MusicMatch product (and go with their own Yahoo Music Player), there is no Windows Vista option for MusicMatch. Due to this decision, there is not a great internet radio option for the product without a lot of manual work by the user (with commercial free, high quality music in any genre). There is a backdoor fix if you subscribe to Yahoo Music Unlimited for song downloads, but I have found that it is not very well integrated into the Logitech software. If you use and plan to continue using a compatible music software, then the product is great for the price. For those who use unsupported music software, then I would look for alternatives in the market place. Logitech should look at expanding the capabilities of its streampoint software to fully support Yahoo Music Unlimited, the Zune marketplace and possibly some internet radio pay services (XM radio online is not supported by the streampoint software - at least when using the Windows Media Player 11 plug-in). One other nice feature is that you can add up to four rooms onto the system by adding an extra remote and charging station (with the audio hookups), but the system is only able to play in one room at a time. It is also very hard to find an additional room kit since Logitech no longer sells this system on its website.
Escribí a logitech y no me dieron respuestas satisfactorias. Este producto solo funciona si el emisor y el receptor se ven de lo contrario hay constantes caidas. De otra parte el sonido de reproducción es muy regular.
logitech wireless DJ music system.......2007-11-09
This music system is very good, because you don't need internet to use it. To understand the system better you will install and uninstall for like two or three times, but if you can understand everything of this system in the first time, then you don't have any problem. overall it works very very well, and i enjoy listening to music from my computer in my bedroom with it.
Great device!.......2007-11-07
I love this thing! It was inexpensive ($96 and free shipping on Amazon) but the value of what it does far exceeds it's price!
Quick and easy to install, plus it looks great in the living room and functions flawlessly. It has been a topic of conversation at the last couple of parties at my house!

Customer Reviews:
second one.......2007-12-09
Bought first in 2003, second today. Great device. I talk for a living and have to have this. Considered others but scroll wheel makes it easy, fits my hand perfectly. Doubles as mouse. Could not be easier. Everyone that sees it wants one. Have to keep an extra battery handy though (or would be 5 stars).
I love it.......2007-12-08
This works great. I have no complaints. It's easy to hold, is unobtrusive, and has features found in the more expensive products. I like that it can also simultaneously be used to control media players, so you can manage background music, as well. The "joystick" center button I found a little difficult to use for precise motion. It comes with a nice little carrying bag, with a separate pocket to store the USB device.
When clients use it, they want one for themselves.......2007-11-29
We frequently send the Keyspan remote out on sales presentations or for production use in large shows. Often as not, once our clients see and use the remote, they want to keep it.
One star subtracted for a slightly confusing interface and no media mode support on the Mac; otherwise a nearly-perfect unit.
Presentation remote.......2007-11-15
The product works as advertised, like a charm. Delivery was earlier than projected. All around I am very satisfied.
Excellent presentation tool.......2007-10-19
In my work I do media presentations from my laptop several times per day. With the Keystone remote I can sit with the client at a distance and still both operate the laptop and control the presentations. It took some practice to be able to operate it in "mouse" mode accurately. But within an hour or so I could do anything I can do with a regular mouse. I'm very satisfied with this product.

Excellent application.......2007-12-21
Product is just as advertised, works as advertised and perfect for a long range (across room) operation of free standing lamp behind couch that was difficult at best to turn on manually.
Problem Solved.......2007-10-16
This product solved a problem we were having. Our Proxima projector is ceiling mounted, and you have to climb a ladder to unplug/replug it. Now instead of climbing a ladder, we use the remote control to unplug/replug it. Thanks!
excellent product for the disabled.......2007-07-22
excellent product and well worth it's small cost, much better than others costing much more.
WIRELESS PUTS YOU IN CONTROL.......2007-07-13
THE SVAT WRC100 WIRELESS INDOOR REMOTE CONTROL DOES EVERYTHING IT SAID IT WOULD DO! IT'S VERY EASY TO SETUP,AND JUST AS EASY TO USE. THE SMALL SIZE OF THE REMOTE MAKES IT EASY TO STORE OR CARRY WITH YOU WITHOUT BEING TOO BULKY. I'M VERY SATISFIED WITH THIS PRODUCT.
Save $$ by really shutting your TV off.......2007-07-12
Most people don't know that when you shut off your TV/Computer/Stereo that it still uses electricity - in some cases as much power as if the unit is actually turned on (it's called "stand by power"). The only way to really make it stop using electricity is to unplug it.
This unit is great. Shut off the TV, then use the remote to shut off the power supply - no need to unplug anything.
Just another way to save $$ and save the environment at the same time!

Customer Reviews:
So far, good unit.......2007-11-03
After having had a bad experience with a LaCross weather station, I did some research and decided that the Honeywell 923w would give me the best bang for the buck. I've had it about 2 months now and while it's not a professional grade product, it was fairly easy to set up and has worked well 95 percent of the time. I have had a few issues with the remote reception from two of the temp/humidity sensors but everything else has performed as advertised.
I have made some inquiries to Honeywell customer service and after a few initial problems, they have come through too in helping me set up and with some technical questions. I even received an email from the company president who provided me with names of people who could help me.
My only complaint is with the included software. It's pretty user friendly but very simple and it isn't compatable with any of the citizen weather reporting services like Weatherunderground. Honeywell web page has a link to a private vendor from Germany who has developed some pretty awesome software that is designed specifically for this product. The guy is also extremely helpful (via email) getting the software set to the customer's needs and responds within a day. Unfortunately, it's an extra $40+ bucks.
doesn't work right.......2007-10-30
hard to set up. after a couple of weeks the wind speed quite and has to be reset. don't know how long it will last. rest of unit seems to work ok.
Not sure about this item.......2007-10-20
Bought this item after some research, Ended up with it as all the other rewievs for other weather stations were sketchy.
Set up the units as specified, replaced the batteries with brand new ones a third time now and the results are similar, none of the receivers are comunicating with the base. or they do for a bit than go off line. Iv been trying for 2 days now and I am about to mush the system against the wall. It is a very disapointing feeling. Logicaly it seems like an easy system to set up but after trying so hard I lost all hope. Im not sure if this system is so sensitive and dificult or if it's been kicked a few too many times durring shipping. Box it came in seems all intact. Im giving it a few more days and few hours of play before it goes back. For anyone out there looking to buy a system strongly consider a hard wired unit, (if they still exist) will be a bit more work with the wires between units but atleast your saving your self a head ache in the long run.
all in all buy a cheep toy you get a cheep toy. If things turn around for me I will keep you posted.
Nice starter unit.......2007-09-28
Overall I like the Main Unit design and display - all of my sensors seem to be outputting info reliably, although it only updates info every minute or so - you can watch the wind guage change direction, but the unit does not display that change in real time - it has been unusually quiet weather wise in the Houston area - no rain or strong winds since I installed it a week ago, so I cannot comment on the rain guage at this time - my thermo\hygrometer unit will only transmit data for a few hours and it stops - I have to remove and replace the batteries and have the main unit search and it will work again for another few hours - I emailed customer service a week ago and have yet to here from them. I have not tried to install the software yet so I have no comment on that.
Great piece of equipment.......2007-08-28
The setup was a little difficult at first. I would think you could do everything from the software but you can't some things need to be input with the remote or buttons on the side of the unit. The 1.2 version of software that comes with the unit needs to be upgraded to 1.3 as soon as you can as the 1.2 version was writing my data file and it was growing after 3 days to 138MB! But the new version solved all that and it runs fine now.

Genie Wireless keypad.......2007-12-01
Handy device. Very easy to install and to set up with two garage door openers. It took me 15-20 minutes from opening the box to using it. It is compatible with Overhead Door Corp. openers with Codedodger which is what I bought it for.
Simple and easy to use!.......2007-10-17
Just brought the item, set up was a breeze, had it configured and hung up outside in less than 10 minutes. We will see if the flap breaks and if the buttons stick like the other user reported, however upon first glimpse it seems very sturdy. Great price too!
decent opener.......2007-06-13
I bought this opener to replace the first one in which the buttons would always stick and my parents (who are on the older side) could never seem to open. This one works well with my Genie Intellicode garade. However, the cover hinge broke within a month. And after two years it has stopped working entirely (won't reset/reprogram and won't open the garage). So better than some but I still wonder if there's something else out there that is more durable.

Serious control problems.......2007-10-14
Like others who've written a review for this mine doesn't work well. You push the buttons as hard as you can and sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn't...it's completely random and it does seem to get worse the longer you're out in the snow.
Never Really Worked.......2007-04-12
Once I opened the box and tried it out the Play button did not work. Only things I could get to work was the volume. After using for about 2 hours the volume stopped working. When it was working you really had to touch he right spot to get it to work, which sucks when boarding down a mountain with gloves on.
Belkin sportCommand.......2007-01-31
Sometimes the button may be hard to push with my gloves on/off, but I just push it again and it works fine... It's no different than my iSkin that's on my Nano, where sometimes i spin my finger on the controls disc and it doesn't work because of the plastic that's on top of the nano controls. As for volume, if you hold onto it, the volume will increase as if you were to spin your finger around the ipod control disc really fast.. I just tap it and it increases/decreases fine. If you pause it, I think the nano may auto-shutoff after X minutes, but you just hit play once to turn it on and again to unpause it. You can just as easily turn off the ipod by holding the play/pause button down. There's no need for a mute button which is when you can just pause the iPod. People asking for shuffle; it's no different than having to manually set your iPod to shuffle mode before you play your songs. The product was advertised as is, and why would people go out and buy it, and assume it has more bells and whistles besides "Play", "Pause", "Stop", "Next", "Back", "Volume Up", and "Volume Down". That's all it has. People ask for too much. As for the cold, I've never encountered the sportCommand freezing on me.. I've tried it at Jay Peak, Stratton, Mountain Creek.. All have been fine from 0 degree weather to 40 degree weather... i'm not the picky type and it gets the job done. That's all that matters to me.
Great Concept and Design, Lousy Performance........2007-01-11
Great idea and the design is really good as well. I love the idea of either a velcro attachment or just hooking it on a loop.
I have now tried it on 3 different iPods. One first generation where it worked poorly at best. When I say it worked poorly, specifically, pushing a button would either not generate any action about 20% of the time, or would over do the action by making the volume turn up endlessly until it hurt your ears and no way to stop it. Or it would just keep skipping forward endlessly. If you paused it for more than a minute or two (i.e. a chairlift ride) you would have to dig out the iPod to start it again before it responds.
On the newer models it worked much better with no reaction remaining at around 20% of the time, but I could stop the endless volume increase or skipping.
I think this will be a fabulous product in the second or third generation when they get these little annoyances worked out. I am still using the product as I like the weatherproof nature, but with this product I need to remove my iPod from my jacket several times a day just to fix the problems of the remote.
I doubt anyone from Belkin ever reads these reviews, but what I would tell them is include a mute button and make it work 100% of the time and you have a great product. As is, it rates fair at best with a new iPod and poor with an older one.
Should have been called the thing that should not be.......2006-12-17
Terrible just terrible, this item just didn't work, it didn't work close to the ipod it didn't work far from the ipod, nothing... and then it did decide to work for about a second and a half, but the button got stuck and the volume just increased to the very top, and since i have Shure e4c headphones i almost went deaf. Anything we tried to do, and all the ipods we tried (3) did not yield any result. This product just does not work!
