Peerless ST650P Tilting Wall Mount 32"-50".......2007-12-27
Bought two of these for 46" LCDs. Heavy Duty and very secure once mounted. Two considerations. Plug in all connections to tv before hanging on bracket. Need small hands to adjust manual thumbscrews for tilting.Looks great on the wall.
Easy Install, yet Disappointing Tilt.......2007-12-27
I bought this wall mount for my Sony Bravia 46" LCD, which I also purchased at Amazon. It was an easy install using the enclosed hardware and following the directions. Didn't take long before it was up.
The description stated tilting wall mount, so I bought it instead of the regular one, which was a little cheaper. I guess I should have read the description more thoroughly. It only tilts downward at a very slight angle, but more upwward. I would assume that most people tilt downward, as they probably hang them above fireplaces, etc. Therefore, I was hoping (assumed) to have a bit more tilt.
I'm not dissatisfied whatsoever with the product. But I could have paid less with the same result. Overall it was a good purchase.
Great Mount for Sharp Aquos.......2007-12-25
The mount worked very well. It was easy to install and had great instructions which covered every possible configuration.
Compared to the overly expensive models at the retail stores in my area this price could not be beat.
Great Bracket for your Flat Panel.......2007-12-25
I installed this bracket in about 2 hrs. with my dad's help. I put a 32" Sharp Aquos on it. It was really easy to get on the wall and then place the LCD panel on it. The only thing I regret is that it doesn't allow me to get to the back of my unit without having to uninstall it. Luckily all my component and HDMI slots were used up, so now when I get a new item, I just replace it with whatever I'm discarding.
Good Mount.......2007-12-25
I bought this to go with my Toshiba 47HL167 LCD TV. It hooks up easily, comes with an amazing number of bolts so it can hook up to any TV; but they are separated in nice little pouches so finding what you need is easy. It attaches to a stud wall with 4 screws and installation is quick.
This is the only mount I've used, but I can't see what a $150 mount would offer you. So long as it doesn't crash off the wall - that's really all you need. It also pivots but I set mine vertical.
The hardest part was deciding where to mount it. I used blue painters tape to layout a 'TV' on the wall and looked at it from lots of angles, chairs, sofas, etc. My first inclination was to go too high, I found that was uncomfortable on the neck. Final TV center height is 50". This is comfortable to look at from a chair, but also high enough to view while laying on a couch (and looking above your feet). But your room and furniture will be different - so try the "tape" TV for 30 minutes of so.

bushnell 16X50.......2007-12-23
very good value. sharp images as long as you brace your arms; 16X also magnifies the shakiness 16 times! probably not as good as leupold or swarovsky, but at under $100 a little forgiveness is justified. a great item to have handy when traveling.
Decent Binocular.......2007-12-21
I had bought this bushnell binocular mainly for star gazing. It didn't help me that much on that. May be I had higher expectations on this item, since I'm a novice. I was expecting the order of magnification like I saw in TV cameras when they zoom in on moon during sports telecasts. But this item is still worth for the money. I could use this to see moon and Mars so far with decent magnification.
Only thing to make sure is hold a steady hand when using or use a tripod.
Focus tab is not really a hinder as others in the review had mentioned.
Very nice!.......2007-12-13
I bought this for my husband as a gift. He enjoys it very much. The resolution is clear, and it's easy to adjust while viewing. Well made yet lightweight. Good product.
Great Buy!.......2007-12-11
I purchased this for my husband and it is well worth the money. I will probably be purchasing a couple more. If anyone is looking for a great pair of Binoculars, look no further.
Very Pleased.......2007-12-03
I bought these for my husband to hunt with. He is very pleased with them.

Customer Reviews:
So far, so good!.......2007-12-09
I'm very happy with this camera's balance of price to performance.
This is my first digital camera. I have a degree in photography, although my job is not shooting now. I've used digital cameras occasionally on the job, but have been holding out at home, using film. Film is very comfortable for me. But we wanted to start to share photos with distant family, quicker.
One thing I decided was to limit my shopping to just one brand (my old FE2 imparts some serious loyalty). I don't have time to compare feature for feature and spec for spec, all these different brands and prices and stuff. I realized I had to make my decision work for what I was going to shoot and who would be using the camera. We go camping, we visit relatives, we bake cookies: average family activities. The camera will be used by me, my wife, and our kids (6 & 8). I'm considering this camera my gateway to digital, and plan on using it for several years at least. So...
My list of features to make my decision:
Nikon was my base brand unless I couldn't find something that fit.
Manual exposure and shutter control.
Time lapse (nice to have, not mandatory).
Ability to turn off the LCD screen and use an optical viewfinder. (P50 can do it on some modes, not all)
AA batteries.
Less buttons = better.
8 MP
About $200, plus or minus $50.
Mac-savvy.
This list helped me make a decision fairly quickly, and I didn't lose any sleep over not looking at 20 more-similar-than-different options in the marketplace. This camera fit, and I've been very happy. My only issue, which I hear is true of all these cameras in this price range, is the lag time on the shutter. I'm convinced we have Gigs of cheap memory only because camera manufacturers need a way of mitigating this serious shortcoming.
I haven't installed the software on my Mac, because iPhoto is perfectly acceptable for what I'm doing: sharing a few pix, ordering prints, and getting organized. I just plugged in the P50 and iPhoto launched automatically.
So far, I've taken great pictures in the daylight, no-flash indoors, several modes. Everyone in the family has tried it out with success. So far, so good, no issues.
I also looked at the P5100 (outside my $, plus it had more buttons than the P50).
photos not very sharp.......2007-11-26
I'm disappointed with the very soft focus results I get with this camera. I've owned several small digital cameras and even the ones capturing fewer megapixels took much sharper photos. The P-50 is a decent all around camera with nice features. (I bought it for the wide angle lens.) I just wish the photos had better detail. I'm going to keep looking, while I put this one up for sale.
Travel mate.......2007-11-23
P50 is relatively inexpensive, so you can't ask too much. But I can say that this camera works pretty well as a travel mate. Pocket-size, wide-angle lens, AA batteries are what you really need abroad. Easy to hold with one hand. Overall image quality is very good. Coolpix P50 offers plenty of image details till 200 ISO. Noise shows up at 400 ISO and, quite obviously, above. Blurred shots can result in tele mode (102 mm max focal length). I haven't been able to take advantage of the image stabilization (electronic, not optical, vibration reduction): certainly, it's my fault. Compact, well-built, serious body. "Manual" is not very much so. At each focal length, you can manually choose between just two lens apertures (e.g.: 2.8 and 5.6 when at 28mm). On the other hand, "Program exposure mode" is very effective: better to relay on it. As usual, the optical viewfinder doesn't cover the whole picture, but in sunny days I experienced it's by far a better solution than the 2.4-inch display. Default images are a bit on the "soft" side: my advice is to increase contrast afterwards. At the end of the day I'm satisfied. Among the few pocket-size cameras sporting a 28 mm wide-angle lens, P50 is a relatively cheap and smart choice.
Great camera.......2007-11-23
I purchased this camera for several reasons. First was the 28mm wide angle lens which is rare for a Point and Shoot (P&S) as most start out around 36mm and higher. The second reason was for the Manual settings, I have always used Nikon Coolpix in the past and had long sought this option. The third reason was that this camera takes AA batteries and thus I can use this to travel without having to buy a power converter so that I can recharge a battery pack.
So far I have been very happy with this camera, it does everything I could ever want and lives up to the Nikon name. Some people complain that it does not have a long enough zoom, but long zooms can lead to very bad pictures when using P&S as you lose a lot of light AND when using long lens you must compensate with quicker shutter speeds- this can be tricky for most and generally leads to low quality images.
Essentially this camera is great for going out and taking pics of family and friends- Landscapes- and Travelling.
Great value for great optics.......2007-11-21
For me the equation was simple: I wanted a good camera at a good price. Nikon has a strong reputation for its optics, and they have produced high quality cameras. My wife and I owned an earlier CoolPix camera that took very good pictures, but was poorly constructed. The P50 truly lives up to its Nikon heritage. The camera is small, but has the heft and feel of a solid instrument yet it is easy to handle. The large Nikkor lens captures the light without a trace of distortion. The menus are intuitive, and the features are just right for a serious amateur photographer. Experimenting with the macro feature on camera, I inadvertently caught a bee in mid flight. The P50 captured the details of the cilia on the bee's head and thorax, and almost stopped its wings in mid beat. This is a fantastic little camera at a fantastic price. Above all, this is a camera that lives up to the Nikon reputation for quality.

Customer Reviews:
excelent value - wonderful video - but not perfect overall.......2007-12-27
Before I made this purchase Samsung FPT5084 50" 1080p Plasma HDTV I spent many hours researching flat panel displays. I concluded that each technology has it's strengths and weaknesses, therefore, there is no 'perfect' display.
The key is to choose the display that is right for YOU in terms of performance, features and price. My main program material is movies on DVD and sports. Thus, my goal was to minimize the distractions that interfere with these programs - namely 'judder' and other motion artifacts like 'smearing'. Both of these problems, it seems, are of greater concern with LCD flat panels than plasma displays.
STRENGTHS:
The Samsung FPT5084 displays HD movies with effortless accuracy - the faint 'chatter' in slowly panned scenes exactly matches that which is present in the theater. While some may prefer the motion-smoothing features of 120Hz LCD displays, in my opinion those features detract from great cinematography. The ability of this Samsung plasma display to match the 24Hz display frequency of cinema results in stunning movie reproduction - this set can easily match the best movie theater systems in terms of resolution, subtlety and image 'depth'. Captivating!
Sports? At faster video refresh rates too (30/60 Hz), hockey pucks, basketballs, tennis balls - they all look round. The plasma does an excellent job of resolving action. Do not blame TV manufacturers for pixelated sports action and poor resolution. Blame the signal providers. With HD program sources, you may find yourself trying to duck flying perspiration! HD sports is compelling!
Picture controls are excellent and I really appreciate that each input's preferences are stored separately. Even the most critical videophile should be able to extract the exact picture they prefer. I will not attempt a detailed calibration until my set is 'broken-in' (BTW I've seen no need to be extra cautious of 'burn-in' with the pixel-shift feature turned on). But straight from the box the image quality is quite good in 'standard' mode. 'Dynamic' mode is way overcooked! [For best shadow detail try 'standard' mode but a gamma of -1 combined with a little extra brightness and contrast.] 'Movie' mode - intended for a dark room - compresses the dynamic range too much and looks lifeless without additional tweaks.
There is not even a hint of directional picture desaturation - you can view the set equally well from literally ANY reasonable angle. Also, the anti-reflective screen coating is quite good at minimizing reflections.
I agree that this set looks better *turned off* than any other TV in it's size class. It's narrow bezel with classy piano finish looks sophisticated. [...though if you hang the panel on an articulating wall mount like I did, you'll see fingerprints from moving the display :-P ]
Two year warranty - and as delivered, my screen has not a single functional defect! I chose Amazon in part because I heard their delivery people were good and they have fewer sets that are DOA than other online sources. My experience was excellent and I have already taken advantage of Amazon's 30 day price guarantee. All it took was one e-mail and my acct. was credited.
WEAKNESSES
Sound is less than thrilling because the speakers are merely 2" X 3" with only two mounted in each side of the frame. Considering their size they do well, but believe me, the fantastic video quality will have you lusting for equally good audio. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the quality of the analog audio-out signal. Thus, powered remote speakers don't measure up to the sound of speakers from a separate power supply.
Not all of the picture-tweaking controls are available on all of the inputs. Why not? Broadcast HD signals can be very respectable. I'd like to be able to treat all of the inputs alike, whether they are HDMI or not. Similarly, not all inputs allow PIP and the main broadcast tuner is one that lacks the feature. That's where I'd most prefer PIP!
ALL-IN-ALL
Compared to other plasma displays (and IMHO LCD displays too) the Samsung FPT5084 has the best bang for the buck. It's not perfect, but it is very, very good at taking your breath away. Add a nice sound system [plus HD source] and your movie enjoyment will easily match that of a movie theater!

Great Pictures but couple minor issues.......2007-12-26
First of all, the price for this TV fluctuates, but Amazon was quick in refunding the difference in the prices (I paid $257 more only 3 weeks prior).
The picture is great, but the TV makes this fairly loud buzzing noise when it's on. The noise is constant and is audible during quiet moments in a TV show. One other issue is HDMI connection, the TV takes a few seconds to search for a chancel when I simply press the 'channel up/down' buttons.
Still Waiting.......2007-12-25
I ordered the Samsung 5084 50" Plasma HDTV on December 12. Here it is Dec 24 and I have not received it.
This tangled web of Amazon deceit began when I called customer support on Dec 17 and asked why my tv had not been shipped. The representative said it was a mistake on her part of completing the order and she would correct the delay by shipping the tv out with a special two business day delivery to ensure that it would reach my home by Christmas. Great...no problem here. Well, the next day I checked the tracking of the package and discovered the package had been sent out instead with the standard shipping and guess what, the estimated time for delivery was Dec 27. I called customer support again and was told they were confident the tv would be there before Dec 25 and not to worry.
Well, here it is 9:30pm on Christmas Eve and I am confident my tv will not be delivered by Christmas Day. Thank you Amazon for your gracious customer support team who confidently expressed gibberish so that I would go away and wait for pigs to fly. All your support team had to do was to either complete the order on Dec 12 or then correct the initial mistake and follow through with their solution of mailing it out with a 2 business day delivery. Folks, check everything they say.
fpt5084 great tv.......2007-12-20
I just received my TV today. I was sitting on the fence between LCD and plasma TV . I am glad ,I took the plunge on Plasma TV.I was afraid ,it is not bright enough. But my fear was put to rest once I started watching TV,
hood it up to Toshiba A30 . Picture look fantastic, clear, color look natural and sharp , It sure is bright enough for me.I highly recommend Samsung FPT 5084
This Plasma is not so hot...for now?.......2007-12-17
Well...its tough and disheartening for me to sit here and type this review. I had been eagerly wanting to upgrade my PDP from my 42" 720p Phillips to a full HD capable set to experience the most out of HD-DVDs, Blue Ray and gaming. After reviewing many forums, tech documents and my bank account, I settled on this one. I would have loved to get my hands on a Pioneer Kuro, but the funds just weren't there. So here I go...
The good:
After some extensive tweaking of the display presets, the PQ in full HD while watching BRDs, HD-DVDs and playing Call of Duty 4 were absolutely breathtaking. The blacks were deep, the whites were bright, no motion blur and the clarity was great. Very high amounts of edge detail even with the sharpness turned all the way down (I highly recommend you try this if you own this set). 720p and 1080i broadcasts (ESPN, Discovery, Equator HD) on my STB are amazing as well. From this end of things the TV does quite well and I would give it a 5/5
The bad:
My major complaint about the set itself is the inability for it to automatically "wide and fit" non 16:9 programing. My old Phillips did this quite well. For example, if watching an HD program (that fit the 16:9 format of the TV) that went to a 4:3 commercial, my Phillips would automatically stretch the commercial and revert itself back to the proper screen size when the 16:9 program came back on without having to manual witch between picture sizes. This is obviously a plus to reduce the chances of burn from the "black bars" on the side of the feed. On the Samsung, you will have to do this manually and it can have annoying results (see below). Maybe someday Samsung will have a firmware update to take care of this (?)
The Ugly:
When viewing programming that does not have 16:9 format, with the TV in "Just Scan" picture size, there is a one or two pixel high distorted line that appears on the top of the image stretching from end to end. This line disappears when the image is manually stretched to fit (Wide and Fit mode), but when a 16:9 HD program comes back on, the image quality suffers until "Just Scan" mode is re-enabled manually...arrgh. Also, on certain programs or movies, a solid green line appears on the far left and top of the screen, running the length and width of the viewable area. At first I thought this may be my connectivity, but verified everything. Next I thought it may be just the signal from my cable provider and scheduled an appointment. After a replacement of the coax, the splitter and STB the problems were still there. It must be the TV... I contacted Samsung about these issues and at first was given the runaround. After explaining what I had done on my own to troubleshoot, they agreed to send a technician out for whom I am still waiting. Until Samsung can resolve the issues described above, I can not give this TV a decent review.

Customer Reviews:
ipod buyers are idiots.......2007-12-26
just compare features and price. I was pleasantly surprised by how long the battery holds a charge and the screen.
Buy the Sansa Clip instead.......2007-12-22
I've owned both, but I had the Sansa Express for about two months before I lost it, along with a pair of good earbuds, when the player disconnected from the cap and lanyard. I had been careful to put the player in a safe place when I left the art studio or was on the move, but this one time I was distracted, and that was all it took.
The Clip, on the other hand, has no parts to lose.
For those of us who tend to be a little bit absent-minded, a lanyard is a necessity, and we might as well throw our money down the toilet as buy the Sansa Express.
Easy to use media audio player.......2007-12-21
This is one of the easiest to use audio media player. All you do is simply plug this into one of your USB ports and you use it as any other USB flash drives, click and drag your songs into the file folders and that's all there is to it! My only gripe (which I deducted a star) is the control navigation which could have been implemented a lot better, but other than that the price is great and it is the same size as a USB flash drive making it compact to fit any pocket (just remember to not lose it or misplace it as if it were a flash drive).
Note: You can also use this as a USB flash drive but remember the limit is only around 1 GB
Don't bother if you use Vista & ITunes.......2007-12-16
I purchased this for my son and of course didn't even think that ITunes wouldn't be compatable (MP3 va MP4). Not only did ITunes not work, but later I was told that this unit is not yet compatible with Windows Vista. I'll stick with Ipod for use of convenience if nothing else!
NOT for audiobooks.......2007-12-12
this may be great for music but if you listen to audiobooks, don't even think about it! doesn't reliably resume (return to previous point) and fast forward takes forever, especially if you're trying to get through hours of already heard "pages" to wherever you left off.

Amazon.com Product Description
Offering a rich feature set and exceptional quality for its price, Samsung HPT5064 50-inch 720p plasma TV uses the company's latest DNIe enhancement circuitry to deliver outstanding brightness, contrast, and image clarity. Use it for home theater and use it for your PC--it's perfect for both. In addition to a standard-broadcast NTSC tuner, it also features an integrated ATSC tuner that can capture over-the-air digital broadcasts from local network affiliates (the set will still require a set-top tuner for receiving non-terrestrial HD broadcasts from channels like HBO or Discovery). Other noteworthy features include a 60,000 hour panel life, Samsung's unique auto pixel-shifting technology to prevent burn-in, a gaming mode, cinema progressive film mode, and 3 HDMI connections. This model is also compatible with an Auto wall-mount Samsung will release this year that is controllable in 3-dimensions via the HTDV's own remote control.
Samsung currently offers two 50-inch 720p plasma models; this one and the lower priced HPT5054. this model is set apart from the HPT 4254 by its cosmetic design and by the inclusion of a USB 2.0 connection for playing photo files or MP3s. Both models offer the same high level of digital image processing, 15,000:1 contrast ratio, and HDMI connectivity. If you don't need the USB connection, you may want ot consider the the HPT4254.
The Samsung Digital Natural Image engine (DNIe) Video Enhancer refines all analog NTSC and wideband video inputs for an overall improvement in picture quality. DNIe improves contrast, white level, picture detail and incorporates digital noise reduction to improve lower quality video inputs. Thanks to the new 13-bit processing capability of DNIe, the HP-S4253 can produce over 549 billion colors (compared to the one billion colors that TVs with 10-bit processing can produce.
Single-tuner Picture in Picture
This HDTV has a picture-in-picture feature, but it only has a single tuner which does not allow POP to function n the same mode. For example, you can't watch one TV channel in the main screen and another channel in the PIP screen. You can watch a tv channel in one screen and view contnet from your computer or a DVD in another. This tends to be the functional limitation of PIP in most HDTVs currently available.

Customer Reviews:
Great picture, a lot of options, burn in protection is nice........2007-12-17
I have owned this TV since October. In that time I have used it with a Samsung DVD 1080p7, Sony PS3 and Denon 987 AVR.
The picture quality is fantastic. Read the CNet reviews on 720 vs 1080 and you'll see that at under 55 inches and over 8 feet away, there is no benefit to 1080. But it will definitely cost you more.
With that in mind, I purchased this set to use for watching upconverted DVD's, Blu Ray, over the air HD football and some gaming.
Fooball looks phenomenal. No pixelization when the players are running, the set grabs the HD signal with my amplified/powered antenna and translates it to Dolby Digital. Nice.
Upconverted DVD's look marginally better than standard DVD. It more or less depends on the DVD more than the TV.
Gaming is a lot of fun on a TV this big and this vivid. The color depth is great and it's a fun experience.
Blu Ray is where this set really shines. The sharpness and clarity are unbelievable. Just breathtaking. The contrast is perfect, the color balance is perfect, it's something to behold. I've never seen anything look this good on screen. Maybe IMAX.....maybe.....
This TV is loaded with burn in protection. Pixel shifting, different brightness settings, pure white screen to eliminate image retention, scrolling gray to white screen to wipe it clean. It's fantastic.
I also like that Samsung is providing firmware updates that can be easily installed using the USB input on the side of the TV.
The set is beautiful. This has definitely provided an air of class to my set up. I love it. I have no regrets on this purchase.
If there is a downside, it's that it takes about 200 hours to properly break in the set. So at first, you have to tone down the contrast, brightness, sharpness and color levels. After break in, set it to your hearts desire and enjoy.
This has really made my home theater come to life.
Great Value.......2007-12-15
This TV is a great value for money. Local HD channels look great and I liked the menu and remote control, it's easy and intuitive. Remote could have been improved by not having separate button for volume and channel control. It would have been great if they had reused up/down keys for channels and left/right keys for volume control.
I would have given this TV a 5 star rating, but the design is not as good as SAMSUNG LCD TVs, sound quality is not as good as other TVs, and TV stand is not sturdy. So, few cosmetic improvements are needed but nothing that can break the deal. Highly recommend this TV to anyone looking for PLASMA TV.
Finally, 5 Star to Amazon for its lowest price and excellent customer service.
Quit after 3 months - Poor warranty service.......2007-12-11
I bought a Samsung HPT5064 in mid August because i thought the picture was fantastic.
Mid November it quit. I'm still waiting on the repair. Samsung customer service keeps saying they first try to repair. Have been on the phone with them several times.
I think they should have replaced a unit that was only a few months old.
Based on the warranty service alone, I'd recommend going with a brand other than Samsung.
12-14-07: They attempted to return my TV and struck it hard enough on the truck to break the front glass. Took TV back to repair shop. Samsung keeps referring me back to the repair shop (which refuses to replace it).

perfect.......2007-12-08
I always have high standards for things I buy but rarely do my purchases live up to the way the Samsung HPT5064 50" Plasma HDTV does. Got it just in time for thanksgiving and my family and friends were amazed at the excellent quality. Would I buy it again? Yes in a heart beat. Delivered by quality Eagle staff and they tested it before they left. I honestly could not ask for more.
Samsung Proven Itself.......2007-12-01
The HP-T5064 has proved it's durability and can stand up to the other higher ranked plasma displays. I really enjoy the 3 HDMI ports. The simplicity of One Cord Hook-Ups is a No Brainer. My Onkyo THX Receiver handles the 1.3 HDMI connection from the DV-980H Oppo up-scaling DVD Player then out to the Mighty Samsung on the wall. Of course the Onkyo Handles the Front Bose 501's and the Infinity center channel, 2 Infinity 25es Rear Channel, with a pair of Alpha 50's for the rear surround pair, and you can't forget the Yamaha subwoofer. All for the Theater experience. But I really want an Infinity subwoofer the Cascade model I think. Anyone have any suggestions as to which subwoofer I should think about purchasing, or better yet Giving Me One for Christmas:) One could only dream. Because after all I have spent 98% of my allocated gift money already and I am told it will take me awhile before we can recover from my spending.
Thanks ahead of time for your comments, and Happy Holidays to all.

Money well spent.......2007-12-21
What can I say other than Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful. The picture detail and sound quality is excellent. The set-up was so easy. I place high standards on quality and this was money well spent.
Awesome TV!.......2007-12-16
Having never owned a plasma tv, I researched this tv for a while before taking the plunge. I must say, I was cautiously optimistic about what I might get... The buying experience was great. I got the TV on Amazon for an excellent price and it arrived in less than a week. I had it mounted on the wall and WOW! I LOVE IT. The picture and sound quality blew me away. My husband was impressed that I picked such a great tv. We stayed up half the night watching the HD channels. There is nothing the same. Can't wait to host the SuperBowl at our house! Buy this tv - you won't regret it!
A great TV.......2007-12-10
I am so happy with my TV because the picture is the best without HD, and when you add HD you will not believe how good it looks
This Panasonic rocks!.......2007-12-07
I just bought the Panasonic TH-50PZ700U 50" 1080p Plasma HDTV and wow, what a TV.
The picture quality even on standard def is pretty good and hi def is crisp as crisp can be. There is an excellent array of settings including a number of pre-sets which deliver great options. Refresh rate is excellent and there is no "lag" when fast moving watching sports, which I know is a problem on some other ranges, such as a couple of Samsung models.
Deep blacks are apparent straight away and this was the reason I chose the tv over the Samsung range and also why I went Plasma rather than LCD. And actually the sound is surprisingly good, although I have boosted this by adding a home theatre sound bar for better bass.
One comment I would make though and that is I may be biased slightly as I did hook it up to a $300 Monster HTS1600 surge protector with clean power stage and this literally "cleans" the picture, which on standard def channels removes ghosting and sharpens thing up quite a bit (if you dont have one, they are WELL worth the investment).
Overall, I cant fault the TV, Panasonic you have a winner here!!!
Awesome TV!.......2007-12-05
This is our first HDTV, as we're moving up from a 27" CRT Akai. Like most of the reviewers, I did a lot of research before deciding on this TV and I'm glad I did. We're totally satisfied with both the picture and the sound. We watched the movie 'The Incredibles' on an upconverting OPPO DVD player (980H) and were delighted at the little details we'd never seen before. Then I caught part of the Monday night football game on ESPN HD and again was blown away by the clarity and detail. All in all, the TV itself is extremely satisfying.
I also had occasion to talk to Panasonic tech support. We weren't getting a video signal from our new Cox HDDVR using component cables. (I didn't have an HDMI cable yet...). I called Panasonic, got through with minimal wait, and the tech was very helpful. Ultimately, it turns out that the issue was with the DVR, not the TV. My assessment of Panasonic customer service is very high based on this one support issue.
Bottom line -- If you are looking for an outstanding plasma HDTV, you can't go wrong with this one.
