Good mount, but.............2007-12-23
I bought this mount for a 50" panasonic plasma. The mount was very sturdy, has enough hardware, has a nice template, but has a few other less obvious problems. It leaves minimal clearance between the TV and wall so you may have some issues trying to physically plug all the cables into your TV after you hang it on the mount. The clearance issue also doesn't allow my TV the full range of tilt. Also, the box it came in was all taped together and had obviously been opened before - and sure enough I was missing some things. Omnimount was nice enough to replace the parts, but it delayed my installation by a week.

This bracket is the way to go. There's a template included that makes it so easy, it took less than an hour to mount our new 42" Panasonic plasma perfectly. You must screw it into studs, but the bracket is designed so well, it can accomodate many different widths between them. It may cost a bit more than other mounts, but it's totally worth it.

We are not handy at all but put it up with no problem! The mount works great and is sooo sturdy we are not worried about it at all. We were really amazed at how easy it was to install.

Very happy with my purchase. i have mounted my 65" Panasonic plasma over my fireplace myself (with a few buddies) and cannot be happier. This unit is strong and easy to assemble and mount, granted you have a little bit of handy savvy. Don't pay $500.00 and up to have someone hang your plasma unless you need customized wire hiding. This mount is great. Buy it!

If you're going to spend thousands on a tv, don't skimp on the wall mount. I highly recommend this product. The directions that came with it are a little short on detail. I went to the Omnimount website and was able to download a better version. It comes with a huge variety of mounting screws for tvs. Unfortunately not for my tv though - the short ones were too short and long ones too long. I had to run to Home Depot and pick up a few which wasn't a big deal at all. The lag screws to bolt the mount to studs may be a bit overkill but better to be safe than sorry. It is IMPERATIVE that you drill into the center of the studs. I have moderate DIY skills and was able to put this up in less than an hour. Oh, and keep in mind that this will allow your tv to tilt up and down, not left and right. I mistakenly thought it was the latter but that's my fault for not reading. The tilt mount is still a good deal even if you don't need or want to tilt your set.

Bolted right up to my samsung 32" TV and mounted to the wall in about 15 minutes. I had to use this larger model to span the distance between the studs in my wall. The smaller version works fine if you have a stud in the exact location you plan on installing your TV. If you don't have a stud that falls very near your intended location, use this mount. It will allow your mount to be off center but the TV can slide on the mount until you get it centered. Good luck

I just bought the fam a new Sony KDL-46V2500 46" Bravia V-Series 1080p LCD HDTV for Christmas. I had plans on mounting it on the wall but didn't want to pay someone $300 (not including parts) to come and mount it on the wall for me. So I did some research and Sanus came up as the best flat panel mount out there. So, I ordered it...
It came with all the parts you need to mount on any kind of surface. I was mounting mine on over the fireplace which is a brick wall. So, all I needed to buy was a 1/2" masonry drill bit and drill holes in the mortar.
Only thing that I did not like is that it did not come with the right size screws for screwing the brace to the tv. I had to run over to Lowe's to pick up some longer screws to fit the tv.
In all, this is the absolute best mount out there for your HDTV.

I used it to mount my 47 inch LCD TV on the wall and it is rock solid stable. Delivery was on time and though the instruction manual could be a little clearer, I was able to assemble the mount in no time at all. The mount came with different screw sizes and I was able to find a set which fit my TV exactly. The only things (and these have nothing to do with the mount itself) to watch out for are:
1. Make sure you locate the studs accurately so that the base plate is anchored firmly to the wall
2. Get help with actually lifting the TV and mounting it on the base plate to avoid ending up with a couple of slipped disks
3. Plan your connections in advance. Depending on the make of your TV, trying to connect new inputs can be, well, challenging.
All in all, an excellent wall mount.

Had 40" flatscreen hung over fireplace. We are incompetent so had to hire guy-with-tools to get the job done He said it was relatively simple and was surprised to find assortment of appropriate wall hangers included (masonry as well). Seems to work fine. Television has yet to fall off the wall.

I read the reviews and I wasn't disappointed. This is a high quality articulated wall mount. No problems installing and mounting my Toshiba Regza (where do they get these names?) 32 inch TV. It was the perfect answer to a perplexing problem. I would recommend this wall mount with out reservation! There were some reviews that worried over the screws - If these won't hold your 32" LCD TV - then the next best thing would be to reinforce the wall with steel posts and weld it on! The screws are just fine!

This mount gave me all the things I needed it to do. tilt,swivel and extend out if needed. Came with all the hardware and a adapter plate for my 200-100 vesa mount. Good solid mount with no problems at a good price.

this unit is very easy to install and very sturdy for smaller TVs. I have this mount for a 19inch flat screen and it does sag slighly when the arm is adjusted for free movement. It isn't noticable though. One of the better priced swingout arm mounts available.

This Swingout mount is very sturdy and works quite smoothly. The inserts/grommets that provide protection from edges rubbing on your wires are ridgid and make it difficult to route multiple cables (component and power)through the arms. Semi-hard rubber might have been a better choice. All other features are of excellant quality.

I recently bought this to hang our LG 37" LCD. It was by FAR the least expensive articulating wall mount we could find that would support the weight of larger TVs (over 32" seems to be the magic threshhold). When it arrived, it looked very straight forward to mount and the instructions were actually pretty good. Here's where my install turned ugly (and it's nothing to do with the mount specifically). I wanted to install in a corner and could only locate one stud in the area I wanted to mount. OK, plan B - use the other wall of the corner (an interior wall now, not an exterior wall) Much to my surprise, the studs on my interior wall are spaced 24" apart (not 16" like my exterior walls are). The problem is the mount will only span studs up to about 18". With my TV weighing about 50lbs and the mount a rather heavy unit too I figured the combo must weigh at least 75lbs so I intended to follow the directions and lag bolt mount to 2 studs or not at all. In my case, I was able to go to the backside of the wall (bathroom) and remove the towel cabinet above the toilet - cut a large hole in the drywall and build a 2x4 framework between the studs, then put the drywall and cabinet back (no one
Good stable product for the price........2007-12-18
I used this one to mount my samsung 46 LCD (4661F) and it supports it pretty well. For the price, it performs pretty good.
If you plan on mounting it and setting it in a position and only move it occassionally, then this is a very good choice. If you plan on moving your TV quite a bit in different directions, tilting and in different lenghts, then this one is a little tough to do (maybe cause mine is new and would need to get used to or something).
The articulating movement seems to be a little tricky since I have the TV between two bridges of an TV stand and entertainment center (kinda gives in a "boxed-in yet floating" view.
For the weight of the TV (~60lbs), this one supports pretty good, but does come down on a weight a little bit. Easy to put it up, not bad instructions, if you have ever drilled a hole into the stud. Need two people to put it up.

Pretty good articulating HDTV wall mount.......2007-12-13
This is a pretty good articulating wall mount for the price (I paid about $140 including shipping). You can buy a mount that looks better and moves around better and sits closer to the wall for $700.00 (plus or minus), and one that has conduits for cable management. This one works pretty well and I will find a way to hide/manage the cables. Nobody walks in and tells me I should have bought a better TV mount. In fact, they think this one is pretty cool. I can move the TV from left to right 180 degrees (with a 47" HDTV) even to the point that I can see it from another room.
I sent the unit I originally I received back to the seller for a replacement because the inner arm was very hard to move and it made crackling sounds. I hope the replacement works better (Seller paid for return shipping of the defective unit back to them and promised to pay for sending a replacement to me... have not received it yet). It was very hard to move the TV around on the original mount, but that is my only complaint so far. I hope the replacement does not have the same problem.
Finally, if you buy it, I think you should install the mount so that the vertical bolts have the nut on the bottom, not on the top (you'll know what I mean when you see it). I installed it with the bolts on top the first time, but I think I had it upside down because it works better with the bolts on the bottom. The directions didn't mention this, so they leave something to be desired.

i bought a 52" samsung TV from best buy they tried to sell me a similar mount for more than twice the price. i was sceptical at first because of price differance, but i bought it and it was relatively easy to install and it is nice and sturdy.

Very nice item for the price. Instructions are minimal, but the mount is built and designed well. Holds our Sony 40" Bravia well. It will take at least two people to hang... and it helps for one to have some "handy-man" experience since instructions are.. not extensive, nor specific to that model.
One mistake we made is the center of the wall mount is NOT the center of where the TV sits. So measure accurately to take the off-set into account.

Well made and sturdy! Came with a large assortment of mounting hardware that will work with almost every Flat Screen.....execpt my Sony Bravia. I could have used the hardware that came with the kit, but it would have defeated the small profile that the bracket sits off the wall. The enclosed hadware would have required using spacers that would have put the TV farther away from the wall than I would have liked.
