When it really comes right down to it, there are very few brands of batteries that are all worth the while. Fortunately, Duracell has coninued to thrive as one of the best brands that is still worth its money your spend it on. This package of 16 AA batteries can be easy to yse and setup for all your everyday needs. You can simply set these batteries up in your favorite electonic devices like your remote control, a portable CD player, or to help charge up you Nintendo Wii controller. All in all, while you could choose to spend less money for another brand name, you really are better off sticking with Duracell, because it really is worth the charge.

These batteries offer a good amount of time for using portable CD players or anything else that requires the use of AA batteries. The price is right since many "convenience" stores charge up to 50 cents for just one of these batteries. They rarely corrode as they are sold with a very long expiration date (several years). I recommend them for any device that requires the use of AA batteries. Keep spares on hand!

The batteries are also clearly marked so you know which end is "positive" and which end is "negative." A very good product!

Duracell makes a great battery; and these batteries will show you just how well they are made once you try them. The "Coppertop" version of these D size batteries does indeed last longer than pervious types of D batteries by Duracell. I really like this because I live in a somewhat rural area; and when we get a bad storm the power goes out and I must use these for my flashlight. I always get several hours more use out of these CopperTop Duracell D batteries; and that's grand!

Of course, these D batteries can be used in anything that requires them--not just flashlights. Moreover, the thin cardboard storage pack actually closes neat and clean for you so that the unused batteries remaining inside the package don't get dusty or exposure to any elements if you're outside camping or something.

Use these batteries before their expiration date. The expiration date will always be several years into the future; but some people still have them lying around in a dresser drawer anyway. The problem is not only do they lose their potency; the batteries also begin to corrode. When the batteries corrode eventually a whitish powdery sticky substance begins to leak out of them and this makes a mess--trust me!

Do NOT dispose of these or ever place these in or near a fire. They could indeed explode. I wouldn't carry them loose either--they should be protected in their cardboard case or they should be already installed in your flashlight or whatever device you placed them into.

Overall, these Duracell Coppertop D size batteries are the ones to choose if you need D size batteries. I highly recommend them for any device that needs D size batteries.

Got some bad batteries.......2007-06-05

I bought a 24 pack of the AAA Duracells at a big box store and they had less than 1/2 charge. I ended up throwing them away. I bought them to use in my insulin pump, so batteries going dead is not a good thing.

Never, ever had this problem before with Duracells, but maybe beware of buying them at a discount in the big box stores.

1000 mAh Duracell AAA NiMH MADE IN JAPAN! These are wonderful!.......2006-09-05

First of all, let me preface this by congratulating Duracell's Japanese manufacturing plant for making such a wonderful product. To be able to fit 1000 mAh of electricity into such a small package is truly an achievement.

These are not only the highest capacity AAA batteries that I have heard of, but they come from an established industry leader, not some no-name company of questionable quality. And not only are they from Duracell, but they are made in Japan!!! The last duracell NiMH rechargable batteries I purchased from Amazon were Chinese-made crap. They did not live up to the Duracell name, and I was very disappointed in them. Now that I have had these Made in Japan (MiJ) Duracell 1000 mAh AAA NiMH batteries for over a month, I can attest that they are of excellent quality.

I just wanted everybody to know how great these batteries are, and the value is unbeatable. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

15 Miles or 1.5?.......2007-12-25

Great set of walkies aside from the glaring fact that they can't achieve ranges past a couple miles in dense urban areas or 4-7 miles in flatter, more open terrain. The functionality and options on this set are fantastic, especially the group features which you can read more on at the uniden site.

Overall if you're looking for a nice pair with a good feature set, get these, but keep in mind the actual range is about 30% - 40% of the advertised.

Uniden Two Way Radio.......2007-10-05

My husband and I have used alot of different two way radios in our vehicles. And we found this product to be the best, mostly due to the radios having the capability of being charged with a dc adapter. Other radios will lose their charge by the end of a long day of driving. Which means we lose communication with the other vehicle. With the Uniden GMR1588-2CK we can charge the units while we are driving so there is no need to replace batteries while we drive. This feature alone sold us on this prodcut and it has been worth every penny we spent. We did learn that if we allowed the radio to have a low battery and then plugged in the dc charger cord that the radio will not transmit or receive while charging a low battery. But if the radio is fully charged first, we found we could plug the radio to the dc outlet during our entire trip and the radio will work just fine.

Not Worth It.......2007-05-19

I purchased these radio walkie-talkies as a fun way of communicating with my brother, who lives 4 miles away. What the description doesn't mention is that you cannot communicate with anyone in an urban setting more than about 10 blocks away (@ 1/4 mile) ESPECIALLY if there are houses and hills. I'm sure you can communicate 15 miles away if the radio signals had no landscape interference in between, but these are really worthless if you live in a city and the other walkie-talkie is more than a few buildings away. We even tried standing on the rooves of our apartments to give the radio waves a clearer shot, but that doesn't work. The batteries die within an hour and you can charge them for days and days - the batteries still only last an hour. And withing 5 minutes of using them, the battery indicator shows you that it's already low!! Go Uniden!

I use these radios daily and have no problem with them whatsoever except that the batteries die after five hours or so. I need them for work and can never get through a shift with the rechargeables. They work great with regular batteries though.

So even better than expected, these are 2650mAh batteries. Anytime you can get a AA NiMH battery for under $2 each, it's a good deal.

Very poor performance.......2007-12-12

I bought these batteries brand new at a very good price but the quality was terrible. They lost there charge after only a 10 minutes. I had Panasonic and Sony NiMh and they lasted 5 times longer. Stick to sony or Panasonic. Its worth the extra money.

I will never buy Duracell Rechargeables again.......2007-12-04

First time I charged it , well it came for a 10 days on my digital camera (around 80-100 pics) . Fully charged it second time and when I put it into camera ,I got the low battery symbol . Tried recharging again and this time after 2 clicks low battery symbol started flashing . I would have been better off buying a normal battery .

Defective Batteries can ruin your camera.......2007-11-24

Thought I was getting a good deal on these. Noticed erratic performance, so I replaced my charger. Turned out some of these batteries would only hold a charge for a few hours. I threw out the "bad apples", thinking that only a few were defective. (I had purchased several packages of these.) Big mistake. I should have returned them all.

Over the next few months had more failures, even with the batteries that had previously tested OK. Some of these failures took place at very bad times, costing lost work and time. Eventually, they damaged an expensive camera, which had to be repaired at the factory.

I have since replaced all of them with Sony brand batteries, which seem to be OK.

Feel Cheated.......2007-09-07

I use these batteries in my canon s3. They last for over 300 pictures (for sure) taken with flash every time. The main problem is that they run out of juice on the 2nd day whether used or not used. This sucks since i cannot use them when needed and have to plan ahead to make sure they r charged. My 7 year old NiCd batteries last for nearly a month. So much for high end batteries. Folks this is a raw deal. Buy some thing else.

The rayovacI-c3 battery system simply rocks and there the only thing i use in my remotes as when they die from use you can simply toss them into the charger and bang 15 min later their fully charged and I can deal with that as it much better then buying expensive batterys or waiting around many many hours for the other NIMH to recharge.
there are also great on the go as I can recharge them in my car or any place with an electric outlet you can sit around for 15 minutes.
so I would recomend these for everyone who need AA or AAA battteys in a rush

The description is misleading. The control is still in the charger, you can't charge in 15 minutes unless you have the I-C3 charger by Rayovac.
