Don't bother.......2007-12-24
I took a chance and bought this. It came quickly but only lasted 3 days and then gave out. If you want to buy a charger then go with Belkin or another reliable model. This one didn't make the grade. I guess you get what you pay for.
An Ipod Must Have.......2007-12-14
Having this adapter has made charging my Ipod so much faster and efficient. No more waiting a rediculous amount of time just plug it in and in less than an hour I'm good to go!!!
Its good..........2007-11-30
CTA Travel charger for iPod is real cool. As it is 40$ with Apple, I was looking for a cheaper, quality stuff...and this travel charger proves to be one...I am happy!
Cheap and Fast!.......2007-11-30
Glad I purchased this. It's a fanastic price and charges fast. Serves it purpose.
Awesome Charger.......2007-11-18
Although it came in a day after I left for a trip, as soon as I got home I charged my ipod. This is the second time I buy one of these (the other was a gift to my sister). Nonetheless, a great good working product.

Sony ICF-36 Radio.......2007-12-23
The radio has very good sound for its size and receives a signal from a reasonable distance. This radio is a very good value for the money.
A great simple radio.......2007-12-18
I wanted a simple battery-powered FM radio to pick up a local low-power station. I have had problems receiving this station with many other radios, but this one does the job with flying colors. I suspect that part of the reason for its good performance is that it uses analog tuning and is monophonic.
good radio for the price.......2007-12-01
If you need a simple, clean cut radio, this is it. The 4" speaker does
a good job of clean reproduction. Don't expect deep bass and shrill heighs,
though. Just good FM, and fair AM reception. Weather and TV are OK too.
Remember that TV audio will disappear in two years when the FCC will implement the new digital TV broadcasting.
A big plus, this radio has built in power adaptor. No bulky outside gitzmo.
Size is right, tuning is good with light indicator. A great radio for the
price. If you want more, then look at the new stereo HD radios. Best bet for
this is the small but great Radi-osophy HD 100. Check it out.

Customer Reviews:
I hate it........2007-12-24
This item sucks. The mouse especially. It will randomly quit responding to mouse clicks. I can move the mouse, and hover over an item, I can click it. But nothing happens. But, leaving the pointer in place, I can click on the touch pad on my laptop and it will work. The keyboard (just like now while I'm writing this review) will randomly "drop letters" so even though I hit the key, the letter won't show up on the screen as I'm typing. So, I'll have to back up, retype what I'm typing and then go forward. Sometimes, even that doesn't work. Sometimes, I'll keep hitting the key and it just doesn't make any difference. Then, I'll have to hit the sync button on the receiver and hit the little connect button on the bottom of my keyboard, and it'll start working again. I've read online where I'm not the only person having this problem. But, there seems to be no solution to it.
So, would I recommend this product? No, I have to go buy a new keyboard and mouse because this is just getting so frustrating.
Laser mouse and keyboard.......2007-12-22
Both have worked flawlessly since I purchased them. I'm glad I decided to use them instead of going with the standard wired mouse and keyboard. I thought at first I would miss the "trackball" that I'm use to using, but I haven't at all.
Great features, poor quality.......2007-12-20
The features and ergonomics of this keyboard are excellent, but I frequently have to re-type letters. Question marks and Ctrl-C or Ctrl-V combinations give me the most problems. I'll type these and hear the key clicks, but nothing happens on screen. This is really frustrating.
Also, the programmable shortcut keys are terrific, but I could use about 8 or 10 of them instead of 5.
Keyboard connectivity unreliable.......2007-12-14
Five stars for the design and comfort but I'm finding the keyboard connectivity hopelessly unreliable, even on an empty desk with the keyboard just a few inches from the receiver. The keyboard regularly drops characters and often packs up altogether.
Great Keyboard, Horrible Mouse.......2007-12-09
The mouse quality is horrible. The mouse precision is horrible. Almost everytime click is missed, on the other hand The keyboard is really comfotable. It's very quiet when typing. But since it's wireless it misses keys when typing for a long time. Don't waste your money on this product it's not worth. The mouse is horrible always has signal problems and always misses clicks.

Canon's 12x36 Image Stabilization II binoculars incorporate an optical image stabilizer for shake-free viewing with minimal eye fatigue. This technology was first developed for Canon video camcorders and is now available in many of Canon's binoculars. The system employs a Vari-Angle Prism, dual transparent plates, independent vertical and horizontal sensors, and a dedicated microprocessor to continuously adjust the prism to maintain a steady image.
These 12x36 Image Stabilization II binoculars feature a water-resistant rubber coating for nonslip holding. If you get caught in light rain, you don't have to worry about the optics fogging up or getting ruined. These binoculars deliver high magnification, long eye relief, and wide-field viewing. Controls for focusing and image stabilization are centrally located and are accessible by both hands.
Improvements to the objective lens assembly have resulted in the binoculars being approximately 26% lighter and 10% smaller than the previous 12x36 IS model they replace. And reductions in power consumption mean a massive 270% increase in battery life of up to four hours using two AA-size alkaline batteries.
Image Stabilization and More
With any high magnification binoculars, most users will experience frustrating image shake. Unless fixed to a tripod, image shake can render high magnification binoculars useless. Canon's IS technology is remarkably effective at eliminating this problem and is widely used by the television industry with Canon's professional broadcast quality video recording equipment. A special VAP (Vari-Angle Prism) corrective IS system sits between the objective lens group and the porro prism on each side of the binoculars. Within thousandths of a second of the binoculars being moved from their optical axis by vibrations, a detection system activates the IS mechanism. The VAP shape alters to refract or 'bend' the light path by precisely the right amount, thus fully compensating for the vibration. It is this essentially immediate response that effectively suppresses image shake. The binoculars' compact design is based on Canon's popular 10x30 IS model. Curved surfaces mean easy handling, while nature lovers will appreciate the low-reflectance exterior and low gloss front covers, which help to avoid disturbing birds and other
What do the numbers mean?
15x50? 8x25? The two numbers used to describe any pair of binoculars are their magnification 8x, 12x, 15x and so on and the diameter of their objective lenses 25mm, 36mm, 50mm, and so on. The larger the first number is, the larger the object will appear to be in the objective lens. For instance, if you use a 10x lens and look at an object that is 100 yards away, it appears to be the same size as an object located just 10 yards away. The second number, the size of the objective lens, is important because the larger the objective lens, the more light it can admit for brighter, more detailed images, and the better suited they will be for lowlight situations.

12x36 binoculars with image stabilizer
Customer Reviews:
One month Review.......2007-12-22
I have enjoyed looking through some of the finer binos out there and was really taken back by the quality of the Canon 12x36 IS II binos. They feel solid and well made. The controls are well placed and the cups feel good. The IS button is well placed and comfortable to use. I wish it had a lock-on feature so I could move my hands around. Battery life seems reasonable to me. The case lacks padding, but this is a minor issue.
The size of the binos is a compromise between capability and size. They feel a little bulky, but this is expected with the IS feature. It is very easy to adapt to the feel and they balance well.
They provide a sharp and crisp image and the IS feature is amazing. It does not compensate for the larger hand movements, but does stabilize all the minor shakes that come from hand holding a 12x bino. I was even able to use them when moving in a car. It took some practice, but after some practice reducing the larger bumps I could easily read license plates hundreds of yards down the road. This feature is well worth having. I find that 12x makes viewing nature all the more enjoyable. After all the purpose of a bino is to magnify detail and 12x does it better than 8x. When you see a steady 12x image and compare this to a slightly sharper brighter image of a top of the line 'alpha' bino you might agree that the IS with 12x makes more of a difference to your overall bino experience the the superior image of the higher end bino. To me it was not close.
Some have complained about them being dark and while I agree than they do not match up with binos costing $1500 and more. It is really not an issue for me. The fact that you have a 12x magnification is going to make them a little darker and they are not 42mm but 36mm which again means a slightly darker image. The coating are not on pare with the 'alpha' class binos, but for the vast majority of users this will not be an issue. Do not be misled these are bright binos for what they are and I find they work well in low light. They have a nice flat field and the details are sharp across the field.
Would I buy them again? Yes I would not hesitate to do so. This is a high quality bino with some trade offs, but overall for ~$500 it is a great, if not exceptional, bino value. The ability to have a steady 12x is amazing and takes the bino experience to a new level. I wish Canon would have included integrated front caps and I would have liked to have this pair waterproofed, but then the cost would increase.
Based on overall value I feel this bino deserves 5 stars.
Better than a telescope.......2007-12-13
We purchased a smaller version last year, and they were great. I got these for my husband, after buying a telescope that he finds cumbersom. We have a Canon camera with stabilized lens also, and could not take the pictures we have without the stabilizer on the longer lens.
These are fantastic! The strength is such that we could see the mountains on the edge of a full moon. The stabilization makes them incredibly versatile. They are much easier to use and more portable than our telescope, so they will be used much more. We go exploring in the southwest deserts, and these are great for viewing petroglyph sites. So far, I have had no problems whatsoever with them. The only problem is that my husband now wants the biggest strongest version. I may have to do that, but that just means I will get to keep these for myself. Fine with me!
Great for birding.......2007-11-30
Two years ago when I purchased a pair of the 10x30IS binocs Canon 10x30 Image Stabilization Binoculars w/Case, Neck Strap & Batteries for my wife, this particular model was not available; the next size up (15x50IS) were significantly larger and heavier. The 12x36's are an excellent alternative to the outstanding 10x30's. They are virtually the same size and weight yet provide a noticeably larger image than the 10x30's. The stablization is equally superb and worth the money. The only problem is that my wife gave me the 10x30's and adopted the new 12x36's for herself!
Almost too good for the $.......2007-11-22
Canon 12x36 Image Stabilization II Binoculars w/Case, Neck Strap & Batteries I ordered these for wildlife viewing while on vacation this year. The image stabilization works exceptionally well. The stabilization allowed me to see wildlife at great distances. The only drawback was that these binoculars work so well that I had a hard time trying to get them back from my traveling companions. I am going to buy another pair of these for a gift and Amazon's price is hard to beat.
You live only once.......2007-10-30
If you feel the need to spoil yourself once in a while; get the 12x36 model instead of the 10x30. They are more than one could ask for. If one is purchasing exceptional binoculars, why not purchase really exceptional binoculars?
After all, if it's the money, one should be buying binoculars at Big Lots.
These glasses are amazing and everyone I have shown them to agrees.
Nothing being perfect: they come without lens caps ???????
Customer Reviews:
This is the real deal!!.......2007-12-06
I purchased this iMac MA759LL/A from Amazon at the end of October. I wish I had waited to get it for $200 less but I'm thrilled with the machine! I wanted the white one since I had read some negative comments about the new aluminum model. For those who are confused, this comes with everything. The entire machine is housed in the monitor and it even comes with a bluetooth mouse and keyboard. I've have always used a PC but after enduring three crashes within the last year and a half I decided it was time to try a Mac, especially since you can now run Windows on the machine. I'm still working my way through all the differences, but I LOVE this machine. If you're looking for a great price on an iMac don't hesitate to get this one!!
Switched from PC and never going back!.......2007-12-01
First of all I'd just like to refer anyone interested in this product to the excellent first review posted. It helped me make my decision and was very exhaustive and detailed. I purchased this iMac a few days ago and have basically not stopped using it since it arrived! It's fast, easy to use, gorgeous to look at, and just makes using the computer fun and enjoyable again. I don't feel like I'm doing work anymore!
The computer arrived in brand new condition exactly as described with an iLife'08 pack-in, and with the Leopard Up-To-Date program, there has never really been a better time to pick up this previous generation version brand new before they're gone forever.
Oh yeah, and the wireless keyboard and mouse are incredible. We can surf the web, watch movies and do anything else from up to 30 feet away which might sound a little ridiculous, but just wait until you try it! It's just about the coolest thing ever. Thank you Amazon and Apple!
What a deal!.......2007-12-01
to clear up any confusion, this is a NEW 20" White iMac 2.16 ghz intel core 2 duo, with 1gb ram, superdrive, wireless keyboard (old style), wireless mouse, iLife 08 drop in, and OS X Tiger (w/ option to upgarde to Leopard for $10).
with all of the negative reviews out there about the screens on the new series of iMac, i think this was a very smart purchase. the machine is beautiful, performs great, and is as advertised. for $1,200, you really can't beat it. i do a bit of graphic designing on the side and really couldnt risk buying one of the new iMacs w/ the display that it has... so i'm grateful to find this baby on amazon. free shipping & no applicable sales tax too! :)
thanks to the review above who really outlined everything - was incredibly helpful in making this purchase.
CONFUSED! Has someone bought this particular $1,199.99 machine? .......2007-12-01
Like the reviewer above, I'm confused as to what exactly is being sold here. This computer seems identical to the MA589LL version for $1799 except for the "wireless keyboard, mouse" addition in the description and the "monitor is being sold separately" line which doesn't make any sense as it is an integrated unit so there are no separate monitors to speak of. I've called and emailed cust. service and although they were very nice they couldn't help at all. Nobody could explain why it says that the monitor is sold separately and why the price is lower. I was also told that the order fulfillment centers are in a different location from the cust. service offices and they have no way of telling exactly what is being shipped. Now, that's pretty ridiculous yet it is sadly the reality we have to deal with.
I'd love to buy this but I don't want to chance it in case there's something wrong here. So, please, anyone who bought this particular $1199 MA759LL model please report what exactly did you receive. Is this is indeed the whole, brand new computer as advertised or did some error occur? Maybe it's an open box or refurb? If so, it is not indicated anywhere on here.
Many thanks in advance!
huh? (redacted).......2007-11-30
I took a chance and bought this, and it is everything the others have said about it so I withdraw my earlier comment about it not having a monitor, etc. Not only is it the cheapest white iMac 20" available, it has the optional wireless keyboard & mouse. (unfortunately it interferes with my wireless security camera) Make sure you get online with it immediately and download the updates from Apple, also get the Leopard upgrade before the offer expires. If you also have XP Pro on another computer, you can download a free Microsoft program that will control it from within a Mac window. (haven't tried it yet) I give it 5 stars, unfortunately I can't change the number I gave it earlier.

ok.......2007-12-23
This machine works ok. I have had no problems with DSL interference. The sound quality is a 6 out of 10. If it last 5 years I would buy another one.
Wonderful.......2007-12-21
We have three of these, and they work great. The sound quality of the speaker is not high-fidelity, but it is adequate. We sometimes use the machine for recorded phone messages for our radio show (Freethought Radio), and in that case we simply call the machine from the studio and retrieve a much better quality file than we can get from the speaker.
I should have listened.......2007-11-30
I should have listened to all those reviews that said this was a piece of junk - they were right ! No matter where you set the "rings to answer" it still rings 7 or 8 times and then rings once more after the machine picks up. Customer service is a bigger joke. It took 10 minutes of going through a phone tree and giving personal information to someone whose first language is not english. 10 more minutes while he reads the manual and then gives the recommendation that you unplug the unit for 10 minutes and try again.
A fine little machine........2007-11-28
The GE 29869GE2 Digital Answering Machine works just fine. The voices are clear, the operation is simple and it has all the features one needs. On the whole, a nice reliable addition to your home or office.

HDTV calibration Disc.......2007-12-23
Bare in Mind, this will NOT do what a professional HDTV calibration will do. (About $300.00 in my area ) But, For getting The Blacks just right,I was amazed at how many shades of "Black" there really are! lol! The sharpness and Black adjustment alone is worth the price! Color And Brightness etc.are indeed better than before i used the disc. I highly recommend it! It is Very "USER FRIENDLY"
Monster/ISF HDTV Calibration Wizard DVD.......2007-10-05
This was not all the helpful. After changing my settings to what this DVD recommended, the picture on my TV was worse than before I started. I did learn what the different settings were all about and how to use them, but I found the settings per the DVD were way off. At least the price I paid for the DVD wasn't too bad.
horrible product.......2007-08-19
Seems that the product is aimed at retarded user. Does not offer much help in the calabration and ends with a worthless video. Did not buy the dvd to be subject to general statement with not much substance. Most quotes are subjective and will not improve the quality of setting even if followed to the letter. Very annoying product. Wish there was a zero star rating. I should have believed the other negative reviews and wish I could get my money back.
Disappointing.......2007-08-16
The majority of the proceeding reviews appear to be very negative - I only wished that I had read them before making a purchase from what I had considered to be a reputable supplier of audio and video equipment.
After listening to the nauseating narration during my initial viewing, I turned the sound off!
There are nine chapters; I resorted to using only five. [I prefer to call them what they really are!]
3/ Brightness
4/ Contrast
5/ Hue or Tint
6/ Sharpness
7/ Picture Size
Maybe I was just lucky when I received my new 42" plasma TV, as all I had to do was plug it in and complete auto setup, the results were set exactly the way the HDTV Calibration Wizard demonstrated. One can easily define black buttons on a black shirt beneath a black coat. Contrast was perfect and the faces showed the correct hue or tint. Sharpness shows no shadows and no blurred edges. The picture size or format was exactly as depicted for a 16:9 ratio image.
In my opinion the set up videos are the most basic and can be accomplished with any well-known DVD movie. Keep in mind, if this disc is recorded under ideal studio conditions, you will not necessarily see the results repeated from your local HDTV stations or satellite signals.
I do not know if it would be technically feasible but to be able to display the various resolution sources. Be it interlaced or progressive at 1080, 720, 480 or regular 525 line could be useful.
Depending on which network you may be watching the source material varies greatly between commercials, live and recorded broadcasts. The HDTV standards themselves vary when CBS, NBC and PBS broadcast 1080 interlaced and ABC and Fox choose 720 progressive. Unless you have a 1080p HDTV and a Blu-ray HD-DVD player or PlayStation 3 you will not be able to display 1080 progressive image. My progressive scan DVD with component video will only display 480 lines progressive.
Do not worry, unless you are sitting very close to your HDTV you probably will not notice the difference.
Picture size is my pet peeve. This calibration disc is designed for 16:9 ratio only. Why the TV industry chose this is a mystery to me as the majority of wide screen movies of today are produced with a 2.35:1 ratio. Other variations will occur when viewing some of the old "Cinemascope" movies. With a "correctly" set up HDTV a black band at both the top and the bottom of the image will be normal. Classic movies filmed in the old 4:3 aspect ratio will, of course, be presented with black bands both to the left and right.
In my opinion this HDTV Calibration Wizard does not even scratch the surface for a video display system. The omission of any calibration settings for Dolby, DTS or THX audio systems is also seen as a serious drawback.
I also object to having to pay, what I consider, an inflated price for a commercial to Monster Cable Products Inc. Whether or not I may see any improvement with the use of these cables remains to be seen.
DO NOT BUY THIS DVD.......2007-08-04
I repeat DO NOT BUY THIS DVD, unless you're very very very rich and would like to support that poor girls career. I bought on a auction website for $8 and I'm so upset I waisted my money, that I want to write a negative feeback on the person, but it's not their fault. It's completely mine, for not doing research.--DON'T BUY THIS.

I'll be replacing it soon.......2007-12-10
The price is low, but the ink cartridges are TINY, and not cheap- I've spent more on ink in 6 months than the printer costs, and I don't use it THAT much. Sometimes it starts sucking up a 2nd sheet of paper halfway through a sheet of photos; so you've wasted 2 sheets, and about 10% of an ink cartridge. I'll be cutting my losses as soon as the next cartridge is gone (next week, probably...)
An Ongoing Waste of Money.......2007-12-08
I hate this photo printer. Even though I had another HP Photosmart Printer (8250), I bought this one as part of a promotion for its flat-bed scanner capabilities. Since I needed a copier and since I liked my other Photosmart, HP Photosmart 8250 Printer (Q3470A#ABA),it seemed perfect for my needs.
The black ink runs out very quickly - and I don't use the unit except for copying. At first I thought the ink was merely drying out, but it quickly became apparent that the cartridges, as expensive as they are, don't contain enough ink for normal usage. If I used this as my regular printer, I'd have tossed it out long ago.
If you are printing photos, you must print everything on your memory card since there's no way of selecting individual photos. Even worse, it doesn't have a USB port, so you can't even put a single photo on a flash drive and print from that. It does have selections that allow you to choose borderless prints, different paper and print qualities, and full-size v. proof sheet printing. It accepts all memory card types - just not USB.
The quality of printing is good, but for photos, I don't think it's as good as the single-purpose 8250. The all-in-one categorization makes it seem as though it is a versatile machine, when in reality the compromises make this a frustrating machine for all jobs. Although it can do everything, it exacts certain costs for each - expensive ink costs and expensive photo paper costs (because you have to print all photos).
I've given this printer two stars since it does perform as advertised. The problem, however, lies in the sacrifices you have to make to use it.
Cheap Printer with Expensive Maintenance.......2007-12-06
I bought this printer with my new mac, mainly because the sales associated praised HP products, and it came with a special promotion. In the beginning, I was quite happy with the printer. The print quality was good, the scanning capabilities are acceptable, and it is quite user-friendly.
However, after 3 weeks, my black ink cartridge was already empty. I have had several Epson printers for the past 10 years, and all were very economical on inks while also producing a good print quality - even for fine arts prints. Since I got my HP printer, I had to exchange cartridges every 3 weeks, and I don't print a lot. I am very disappointed with this, especially since the cartridges are quite expensive. My last Epson printer had standard cartridges that I could by at Carrot Inks for less than $10 per cartridge, and they usually lasted for about 3 to 4 months. Now I spend $25 per cartridge, and need to exchange them ever 3 to 4 WEEKS.
My advise is to invest a little more into a printer that is better in its ink usage...it will pay off in the long run, and it is much better for the environment.
Looks cheap, but it's actually expensive........2007-11-28
Although this printer looks cheap, it's actually very expensive. If you tend to type a lot and print a lot, you're going to find out that the black ink runs out pretty quickly and although there is an indicator of how much black ink is left, it's very unreliable since you won't be able to make good prints when the ink is lower than 1/4 full. The cartridges are extremely expensive considering the low amount of ink it contains and over a span of 1 year, you'll find that you will have probably spent another 100$ on buying ink for this printer.
Quality wise, it produces clear and great prints and the scanner works very well.
3/5 stars.
Customer Service Proviso.......2007-11-26
If you replace an ink cartridge with a non-HP brand, e.g., Office Depot, customer service--which is outsourced--ceases, even within warranty. Irrespective of the issue, they'll mechanically state the problem is with the alien cartridge and advise replacement.
Hewlett-Packard should be better than this.
