Problem: Your older HD TV only has a DVI connection for HD and now all products have only have HDMI outputs.
Here's Your Solution: Plug this product into your new HDMI product and connect it to a DVI cable coming out of your TV. Use RCA cables for your left and right sound.
I used this to connect my older HD TV to my Playstation 3 and it works fine.

This is the wrong item. Only in small print is it CORRECTLY described as HDMI-f.
The photo shows it as HDMI-m, and the lengthy description explaining its use also has it backwards. Don't trust the photo or the long description.
There's no way you could really tell which this is. So I ordered wrong.
