The built in level is pointless...the tv hangs 3/4" off. I'll have to make more holes in the wall to manually adjust it.

This was very easy to install but it only really sits level when it's flush to the wall. When is pans out, it causes the tv to lean. I wish I had just bought the one that doesn't pan or tilt.

I have used this product on both my LDC TV in the bedroom and now have something like 10 at work for computer monitors. The home TV was tricky because of the weight causing a little give in the device causing the TV to be slighly angled. I got that work out after about 5 re-adjsutments. The mount was an earlier verion without the level. The ones at work work well. The one change I would like is the hole to be eliptical for adjustments without re-drilling the hole in the wall.

I bought this mount for a 26inch LCD. This mount is NOT designed to hold a 26" set. It was sagging under the weight of the TV with the everything tightened to the maximum. I would not recommend this mount!

I purchased one of these units to mount my 23" LCD TV on the wall in my kitchen. The price was great considering the extension and flexability of the mount, but I don't think I would buy it again. My two main concerns include:
1) The overall stiffness of this unit is very poor. It sags significantly under the weight of my 23" TV, and wobbles quite a bit if you push on the TV. I wound up placing a wooden wedge between the mount and the wall to compensate for the sag, so the TV would be level (left to right).
2) The vertical angle adjustment (how much the front of the TV faces up or down) uses detents that are way too coarse. Again, because of the sag, the face of my TV wound up pointing slightly downwards. I tried to adjust it to be level (in the front-to-back direction), but the next detent made the TV point way to far upwards. So I'm just living with it pointing slightly downwards. More expensive mounts that I've seen have a continuous adjustment for this (no detents).
I kept the unit because I occasionally move the TV, and I really liked the quick release on the wall, but if I had to do it again I think I'd go with a stronger mount.

This mount really was very easy to install. It fit my LG 37 LCD, no problem. The built-in bubble level makes it easy to know whether it's straight - nice feature! I've got mine mounted up pretty high on the wall in my BR angled down facing the bed...it's very easy to adjust the angle & then lock into position. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this mount. The directions were pretty clear & easy to follow. If you don't have a stud-finder, you'll want to order one before attempting to install.

This thing is really easy to install and mount a flat-screen TV. The only piece of advice I'll pass on is to get a #3 Phillips screwdriver for driving those bad-boy screws into the studs. If you're not sure what a #3 is, it's probably one size bigger than what you have.

Name Says It All - EasyMount.......2007-02-08
This was used to mount my 37" LCD in the living room. Worked great. It is easy to mount Because the mount is placed on the wall and then a bracket mounts to the TV. Then you can connect all the cables and after everything is tested working lift the TV and it clips onto the wall. Very securely I might add.
The kit comes with several anchors for mounting into all types of surfaces. As well as all the needed hardware for about any TV imaginagle. When I was done I must have had 2 pounds of extra hardware left over.
The only minus I can think of is that there is no ability to tilt the TV right or left. Not really necessary with an LCD, but it would be nice to be able to move it to the optimal viewing angle.
Easy to Install But Needs Some Extra Parts to Perfect.......2007-01-23
I mounted a 42" Westinghouse LCD monitor with this hardware. I gave this product three stars because it is easy to install due to the built-in bubble level and the included adapters that support a variety of flat panel TVs. Also like the tilt adjustment as well.
I would have given this a four or five rating if EasyMount had included the right wall screws.
The kit includes six #14 phillips lag bolts to secure the wall mounting plate to the wall. Four of these need to be screwed into two wood studs in the wall. It is easy to strip the heads of the supplied screws when trying to get them in all the way - it takes a great deal of force to screw these into the studs. I purchased phillips hex head wood screws to replace the supplied screws. The phillips hex head wood screws can be started with a phillips screw driver and tightened with a socket wrench - a much easier and less frustrating process.
Also don't forget the stud finder. I used the Zircon i65- StudSensor as it locates the center of the stud and can also sense for live electrical wires. Most finders only find the edge of the stud.
Good way to mount your Plasma.......2007-01-11
This is a good mounting system. The two piece design is well thought out and makes it easy to put together. The only downside is the stated range... I have a 42" Plasma, and if I would recommend buying the larger EZ mount, since with the 26-42 model, you need to put on the additional wider brackets if your TV is 42". They provide everything, and it works, but the larger model would have been cleaner to put together. In any event, if you have a 26 to 37, this is a good choice.

This mount does not perform as it designed for. Will not hold any TV in place, mount will droop and the screws stip when trying to tighten.
After repeated calls to EasyMount customer service for replacement screws there was no answer.
In other words don't believe the president, Ross Mossman, of the company when he says that they have excellent customer service "We very much want our customers to be happy with their EasyMount" But, as it turns out they never answer their phone nor email so how can you be happy with this product.
Go buy some other brand you will be much happier!

We are dedicated to building the best mounts on the market, but unfortunately we experienced an isolated production issue on one batch of EZSJ-01 bolts where the material used was softer than our specifications. We have moved immediately to fix the issue. All of our hardware is hardened steel and should not strip when strongly tightened. A tight bolt should eliminate any sagging of the tilt angle.

I also ordered the mount after reading the positive reviews. It promises all the right things at a seemingly reasonable price. My TV only weighs 20lbs and the joint will not keep the TV from drooping forward. On top of that, the hex bolts are so cheap that they've stripped. 50 bucks wasted.

Ordered the mount after reading the glowing reviews. Packaging says it will hold up to a 40lb TV. My TV weighs 33lbs and the joint would let the tv droop forward no matter how much we tightened it. Product doesn't deliver.

I actually have the EZDJ, but these moutns are awesome. I bought another mount before getting my hands on the EZDJ, and it was a nightmare. These guys make it so easy its sick. Just mount the wall plate to the stud, mount the screen bracket to the TV, and slide them together. I had it up in 5 minutes, that includes finding my stud! Not only is it easy but it looks awesome. The other mounts out there are ugly steel products, and way too hard to mount. Forget all that, get an Easymount and you'll be set.
