Good but setup not so good.......2007-12-24
I am enjoying this product but setup was not as easy as I'd hoped... and though I am currently using it, it's still not properly setup to full functionality... I will need further help.
A VERY COMPLETE MULTI DVD PLAYER.......2007-12-23
Hi Everybody,
When you dee the box coming, it says it's a DVD player and that's what it is.
It's a DVD player which happens to have an integrated amplifiers that includes the speakers and a wireless kit for the rear.
The wireless kit it's an infrared module you install on the DVD player, an external amplifier where you connect an infrared receiver, both rear speakers and then to an AC outlet.
The wireless it's not what i expected but it's ok.
Take the facts and decide acordingly.

Not What I was Expecting.......2007-12-15
Sony BRAVIA DAV-HDX267W Theater System with Wireless Speaker Kit
I am very happy with the sound and video quality of this system. However I bought this to be a true wireless system. It is my own fault for apparently not researching it enough. I figured I would write a review to avoid others making the same mistake I made. For me I assumed that the wireless kit meant that there were no wires going to the 2 rear speakers. This is not the case there is a wireless portion that jumps from your entertainment center to a rear box which you then WIRE your 2 rear speakers to. You then have to have a spot where you can put this box. My wireless speaker kit is sitting in a drawer of my entertainment center because it would have made a larger mess of wires than just hard wiring it. Which is what I did in the end so I should have bought the non-wireless version for less money and been more satisfied. There are definitely rooms that this system would be nice for mine was just not one of them.
Great for the money - just one oversight........2007-11-12
As many of the other reviewers mentioned below. This system does NOT have any additional optical input which means you cannot get 5.1 sound out of your cable box, Xbox or HD receiver.
If however what you are looking for is a great surround sound system suitable for a room of 15x15 or lesss this is a great choice. To clarify a few things that confused me below. ANY XBR series sony will work just fine with this. There is no such thing as an XBRV or XBRS The V and S series TVs from sony are the similar LCDs with different frames and processors. The XBR2 syncs perfectly. But for what it is worth, all that means is you can use a single remote to control your DVD player and TV at the same time.
To add, if you are content with PRO-LOGIC suround sound (simulated surround sound based off of 2 channel stereo inputs) then you CAN use this system to connect to your VCR TV or other device with an analog input. It has this functionality. ALSO. - there is a 1/8" input on the front of the box suitable for playing your ipod. It just will not charge it.
Regarding the DVD player and changer - it is plenty fast - takes about 10 seconds to swap discs. The upscaling to 1080i is great and the sound is fantastic. Our houde literally thunders with deep bass and really immerses you in the film. The DVD player has some other nice features too including the ability to search by scene and time stamp (a bit better than the standard DVD menu. you can also bookmark favorite scenes. The tuner works finee. Not the worlds greatest receiver but perfectly fine for the average user.
So for me, the only downside is the lack of the optical input. It sure would have been nice - 2 would have been even better. MAJOR oversight by Sony, but for the most part, the HD channels and anything broadcast does not have 5.1 ANYWAY. So if you can live with playing your sbox in stereo or using the pro-logic function to utilize all 5 speakers - then this is a great system for the money.
The wireless set ups is easy. Infrared transmitter and receiver are realtively small and easy to mount or set on furniture. The rear spears require their own amplifier so it does require one 120v outlet and yes the rear speakers need to connect to the amp. People that are complaining about this not truly being wireless are out of their minds. Literally, yes it is not COMPLETELY wireless, but in order to achiteve that each speaker woudl require its OWN amp (making it bigger) and they would have to be battery powered (which would suck). So get over it. It's as wireless as technology allows and its great to not have to run wires across the living room to the rear set.
All in all I give it 4 of 5 for the missing optical inputs and the lack of EQ. What do you expect for $350?
Great Price and Easy to setup........2007-11-12
Had a Samsung system that decided to stop working and it was wireless. I found this Sony system and was wireless to rear speakers which is what I wanted. It is easy to setup and has HDMI. HDMI is Great for HD. I had it seup in 30 min this included taking out the Samsung system. Setup was easy and was watching dvd in HD with upscale in under 45 min. Would recommend to anyone that does not want to run speaker wires to the rear from the front.

Nice kit with probably more than you need.......2007-12-24
This kit is a must if you are adding an HDTV. I only used one of the HDMI cables, but the other will be handy if I add an HD DVR later. All of the cables are top quality.
No Brainer! HDTV Made Easy!.......2007-11-27
I purchased this cable kit along with my Samsung 50" Plasma. The kit was very straight forward and I had everything I needed to get up and running. I was able to hook up my cable box and DVD player with each using one of the HDMI cables in the kit. I then hooked up my DVR with the component and audio cables. Just like that, I was done. I'm not too sure about the screen cleaner, but I guess it works fine. It got the finger prints from the installation off of my plasma. I guess time will tell how valuable it really is...
I would also like to mention that these cables seem to be very good quality. I have another HDMI cable from before that is very cheap looking/feeling compared to the ones in this kit. It is like hard plastic or something. These ones have a fabric like braided material on the outside. They almost look like the really high-end cables I saw at the local hi-fi store for hundreds of dollars. This kit is definitely a no brainer!
HDMI made easy.......2007-11-20
Hallelujah! Finally, someone with quality cables figured out how to make
HDMI installation easy. I recently installed my second plasma TV, in our
upstairs bonus room. The first had gone up about a year ago. With the first one, I thought I had everything I needed when I brought the TV home. OHHHH NOOOOOO! Three trips to Radio Shack and Best Buy later, (and another couple hundred bucks!) I finally had all the different cables and pieces I needed to get the sound, picture and all pieces hooked up and working together.
This time, I saw this kit on Amazon before we purchased the TV. We ordered it. The experience couldn¹t have been much different. BEFORE we had the TV, I had all the pieces I needed on hand to put it together. Two HDMI cables! Yes! And the CV, and the audio. They even throw in a little bottle of screen cleaner. So when the TV arrived, we were able to pop in the new Ratatouille DVD right off the bat and the kids (and I) were happy.
Excellent value for your cable dollar.......2007-11-20
This kit is a great idea, and is the most convenient way I've seen to get superb quality HDMI cabling for your home entertainment needs.
Convenience, however, is just part of the picture with these cables. These are serious cables. The sound quality is actually noticeably better than what I've gotten out of other cables, so much so that I'm planning to re-wire our downstairs set. I've got some knowledge of what makes a good cable, and my understanding is that there are three things that make a big difference, and these cables, in spite of a reasonable price point, have three things that you usually have to pay a lot more for:
1. All copper wire - and it's the high quality, solid center kind, so that makes the biggest difference in reducing sound distortion. Forget the "50% more copper" or "more copper than other cables" - you want 100% copper with a solid core.
2. Cable construction - these guys use the kind of organized cable structuring that much more expensive cable manufacturers use. Instead of just putting the wires in and twisting them, there is organized geometry in these cables that minimizes the magnetic spillover (and therefore, distortion) from one wire to another.
3. Not soldered connectors - solder can ruin an otherwise perfectly good cable, creating a "leap" for the signal that adds significant distortion. You do NOT want an HDMI cable with solder, even silver solder. It's not as good as these, no matter how much you're being overcharged for it.
These are the kinds of cable construction considerations that I've seen in some of the really high end stuff - some of which can get into thousands of bucks for cable. Not willing to go there, but this kit is a terrific deal for the money when it comes to quality, and you just can't beat the convenience. On the flip side, some of the biggest cable manufacturers do a great "sell" job, but don't meet the basic criteria outlined above for really superior quality. You'll see all kinds of claims, but read carefully. When they compare the quality of their image to conventional TV, that's a big watch-out. They should be comparing to other cable makers within the HDMI world. Of course it's better than conventional TV. It'd better be.

Customer Reviews:
Modest home theater? Look no further........2007-12-11
I have a small setup in a small living room, so I don't need house-filling sound. However, I also didn't want to spend much because I will be buying a better system in the future for a larger room. The Onkyo HT240 set more than satisfies my every desire for clear, crisp, substantial sound. It is no wonder this speaker system has received so many excellent reviews both from customers (such as the ones here at Amazon) and from professionals and audiophiles.
Set up is a breeze due to color-coded wires that are long lengths for larger rooms. The instructions are well-written, with easy-to-follow diagrams (fairly unusual for electronics equipment) if you need more detailed guidance. The spring-tabbed connections work very well and have a strong, high-quality feel.
The subwoofer is large and fills the room with a wonderfully substantial and deep bass and the control knob works smoothly and is of very high quality. You can adjust the bass all the way from silent to overwhelming. The rest of the speakers have a clear sound that enables the smallest details to be heard -- it's just amazing the amount of clarity you can detect with and between the various combinations of speakers when you adjust your receiver. The response is instantaneous and the highs are clean, with absolutely no hiss. This excellent quality is found within the entire range of sound; I've not been able to find any weaknesses, although I'm no expert. I listen mainly to classical music and classic rock and watch a wide variety of movies. I can hear things in all these formats that ordinary speakers simply wouldn't pick up and many old CDs sound as if they've been remastered. My receiver is a mid-priced Denon and the power output is a perfect match for this Onkyo system -- never too much, never too little. Even at extremely low volumes, every single satellite picks up the signals sent them and renders the sounds beautifully.
These speakers are also very attractive. The housing of the satellites is matte extruded aluminum, with polished chrome caps on the tops and bottoms. The chrome accents are continued on the grilles of black fabric and the Onkyo label is subtle in a dark gray. The subwoofer is large and will overhang a standard bookcase cabinet, so measure carefully. Its finish is in a slightly metallic dark gray with standby/on light that changes from orange to green, standby to on. (This light is small and very subtle.) I purchased two sets of matching speaker stands made for this set as well as an additional satellite, making my configuration a 7.1 setup.
I shopped around for several weeks for a good set of inexpensive speakers. I listened to brands such as JBL, NHT, Yamaha, Sony, Infinity and when I compared prices to sound, these beat them all hands down. The sound is better than many far more expensive systems and although they aren't for a large room, they are perfect for a modest-sized and modestly priced home theater system. Good speakers are one of the most important features of a good system and I cannot recommend these highly enough. That they look really great is a welcome bonus.
Nice Matching High End Looking Speakers and its a BARGAIN !!.......2007-10-12
BLA, BLA, BLA, BLA, enough said. This is as close as you can get to a high end system without spending a bundle. I paired it with the Onkyo TX-SR705S and it sounded impressive. Its an excellent speaker for the money. Just pair it with a good reciever and your definitely good to go.
Excellent speaker system.......2007-09-24
This speaker system provides great sound and matches the decor of my 50 inch Panasonic plasma TV. Highly recommended. Quick delivery from J&R.
It Sounds Better than BOSS.........2007-08-19
I own this speaker system and I LOVE IT!!!
I think it sounds better than Boss system or at least same level with the Boss but at low cost.
You don't need to buy expensive & fancy sound system. If you get this, I don't think you will regreat it.
Only thing that I don't like is that cleaning clothes parts (the black parts are not plastic or whatever. it is very thin fabric. Therefore, you might need to take it easy when you clean or dust) of the speakers. Overall, you will be happy of this speakers and it will look very nice in your livingroom... :)
Onkyo SKS-HT240 Speakers.......2007-06-15
I just bought a Sharp HDTV, Onkyo AV(674)receiver, Oppo DVD player and the Onkyo SKS-HT240 speakers. These speakers are by far and away the smartest thing I bought in this setup. The sound is terrific and the speakers are very attractive. Highly recommend you consider them.

it uses its built-in FM transmitter to wirelessly transmit the signal to an empty frequency on your FM dial. The device supports more than 100 frequencies, so even users in the busiest radio markets should be able to find several static-free channels. Once installed, listeners will have access to the full XM menu of music, sports, talk, news, children's, and entertainment programming, all without having to listen to a single commercial. The Roady XT also offers 21 advanced traffic and weather channels--yet another reason XM was named best radio service at the 2004 Billboard Digital Entertainment Awards.
To make the listening experience more informative, the Roady XT displays the channel name, artist name, and song title for each XM channel on the bright, high-contrast screen, which boasts seven vivid backlighting colors. Complementing the track info is the TuneSelect feature, which alerts listeners when their favorite songs and artists are playing on a specific channel. Meanwhile, sports and finance fans will delight in the customizable sports and stock tickers; the former runs through the latest scores and schedules for both college and the pros, while the latter keeps track of up to 20 stocks at once.
All the features come bundled in a sleek, innovative housing that's designed to ensure high sound quality while taking up a minimum of space. The diminutive size (it measures a mere 3.7 by 2.2 by 0.61 inches) fits easily in most jacket pockets or purses. This not only helps protect against theft, but also makes it convenient to bring the Roady XT inside for home use (requires the Roady XT home kit).
So don't waste another moment listening to cliché-ridden commercial radio--join the XM revolution today with the Roady XT.

Roady Satellite radio receiver.......2007-11-21
Had to send the first one of these back because it didn't work and couldn't get another one (Target was out of stock) so had to order another from someone else. The second one works fine and also was better priced. Other than the aggravation of having to wait on the new one everything worked out fine. As usual Amazon was very accomadating!
Great Performer.......2007-09-30
I was cautious about purchasing this XM receiver because it appeared so simple and plain in the photos. Don't let that fool you. It has more functionality than my factory XM unit. I found it easy to install myself. The hardest part is running and concealing the wires for the satellite and transmitter antennas and even that isn't very difficult. The kit is pretty complete. I did not use the direct connect because my older vehicle had no (IPOD) input. The kit also contains a cassette input, which I couldn't use either because my vehicle has no cassette deck. The FM method is pretty foolproof. The input connects to your vehicle antenna. I wish it simply went inline between the cable and radio. An inline connector is available, but is not included with the kit. The XM website links you to a site with suggested empty frequencies for your area, which is very useful. I printed several of them for my frequently traveled areas. It was easy to set up, had great reception and lots of info options. If you have ever installed your own aftermarket radio or add-on player installing it is a cinch. Beware that in traveling between highly populated areas with lots of FM broadcasters finding a blank frequency may be difficult and lead to some interference with the FM input. The best way would be an input jack if you have a newer vehicle. I highly recommend this receiver. I also bought a home kit to use this with my second and third home stereos which are not cable connected. Again reception and installation were great. The range on the remote is somewhat limited, but it works in the car for those who are interested. That option would be great for a motorhome user.
Pretty good satellite radio.......2007-08-09
This is my second satellite radio. My first one was stolen out of my car and I got this one because the xm radio website was having a replacement special on them. Here are my thoughts on it:
Pros: I like the multitude of buttons on the device. Its pretty easy to navigate through the channels. I like that the color changes on the display so you can get it to match the color of your displays in your car. I like that it is easily transferable to a home kit. I have had better reception with this radio then my previous one(sportscaster).
Cons: I don't like that you have to buy the remote separately. Thats pretty ridiculous. The standard mounts that come with the device are pretty cheap and worthless. I don't like that you have to use the cradle to hold the player. You cannot plug the power directly into the unit. You have to plug it into a cradle and then the device into the cradle.
Notes and tips on installation:
Since i didn't like the mounting options included with the radio, I purchased a vehicle specific mounting plate (available on the satellite radio superstore - run by xm radio) for ~$35. This has allowed me to have it mounted to the dash much more securely. Then i modified the vent clip mounting option to make the device mount flush to the new bracket. This looks really sharp. I ran the antenna to the outside (roof) of my jeep. The reception has been superb. I am using an open AUX rca jack in the back of my stereo to run the audio into the car. This works really well
I also don't like having the power outlets taken up with plugs and such in my car. Thus i did something about it. I took off the dash board and wired another outlet inside of the dash. I wired this to the cigarette lighter power circuit (i dont smoke and dont ever use it anyway). You can get really nice splicing clips at advanced auto parts or the like to make this really easy. Then i ran a cheap power outlet (from one of those splitters you can get to add more plugs to your car). Then all the wires come out of a small slot and only about an inch of cable is visible for each of the three wires.
I did have a significant amount of hissing and static as was indicated by another review. But this is common for pretty much any cigarette lighter powered electronic device. This is caused by a "Ground Loop". Basically it means that you have some mismatched circuits with different currents and one ground. But fortunately this has an easy fix. For $10 online or $20 at radio shack, you can get a "ground loop isolator." this will prevent the hissing and static. I have absolutely none in my system now. It sounds great.
Overall, this is a pretty good product. I wouldn't pay the msrp of 70 dollars for it, but if you can get a 10 to 20 percent discount then i would recommend it. It certainly will work with out the stuff i did to install mine; however, i feel like mine looks pretty professional and didn't cost me more than 60 dollars in parts.
XM Satellite billing issues.......2007-07-14
I had read this earlier on posts regarding XM's billing practices but thought it was just that person's problem or misunderstanding. Unfortunatley, I was wrong.
When you sign up for XM online you give over your credit card # which is then in their greedy little paws. After trying one of their radios for a few weeks I decided there were some good features but nothing worth keeping. I returned the radio to an area big box store w/o any issues.
I had only paid for a 30 day subscription with my credit card but they continued to bill me.
Links on the web site for unsubscribing lead to another page of links w/o telling you how to unsubscribe! When I called to find out why they were continuing to bill me one representative gave me a runaround saying that even though they could cease billing me they had to bill me as the radio had still been running (this is well over a month after returning it)!. Eventually they agreed to a partial refund even though I do not trust them to not bill again.
For those who might say this is not about the equipment listed on Amazon, I believe it's impossible with satellite radio to unlink the radio programming or the billing issues from the equipment. This is not Amazon's fault, but I think consumers need to be warned.
If you must try XM, I would highly recommend using a credit card that you add money to for any individual purchases not your usual purchases. I do not, however, think they're a very honest company.
Not Backwards Compatible.......2007-07-12
HA! We misplaced our Roady 2 somewhere at the hospital and no one returned it to lost and found. Our car has the Roady 2 Car kit installed by CarToys which cost $320 for installation. Unfortuantely, the Roady XT is not compatible with the prior car kits, which means we would have to pay for Roady 2 car kit removal and new Roady XT car kit installation, meaning a whole nother $320 or more. Something so trivial as this. Therefore we cannot use new technology... Our only economical choice is to be stuck in the past replacing the lost Roady 2 with another Roady 2.

Customer Reviews:
Excellent remote with minor issues.......2007-11-26
I purchased this remote recently after comparing this one to the Harmony 890. I have since had a chance to use the Harmony and as such will provide a bit of comparison.
Pros: Wide ranging support of devices, good button ergonomics, good lighting support, flexible configuration
Cons: Clumsy and slow customization interface
Overall I am very happy with this purchase. The remote controls all of my devices (including a DVD player purchased in Japan) and has the flexibility to allow me to control them in the way I want.
The configuration software provided is very poor. It is essentially a limited web browser used to connect to www.myremotesetup.com. I assume they use the client to allow seamless updates to the remote via the USB interface, but it is very slow and cumbersome. I have found that using the web site directly with a browser is much faster, and you can then use the software simply to perform the update to the remote.
While the customization interface is poor, its functionality is quite good. I have been able to define a number of "Activities" (think macros or series of button pushes) which involve all of my entertainment components. The Activities set up both your components and your remote for a given purpose, for example "Watch Cable" or "Watch DVD". For each Activity, you have the ability to "punch through" buttons. That is, you can map any command to each button, for example, the Channel Up button might change the channel on your cable box while the Volume Up button changes the volume on your receiver.
An important feature is that the remote is aware of the state of any given device that it controls. This is very helpful when switching between Activities. For example, say there is an Activity for "Watch Cable" that turns on the TV when you start it, and turns off the TV when you go to another Activity called "Play CD". If you were to click "Watch Cable" and then press the button for "Play DVD", you do not need to worry about the TV being turned off first (as it stops "Watch Cable") and then turned on again (as it starts "Play DVD"). The remote knows that the TV was on because you were using "Watch Cable" and simply leaves it on for "Play DVD".
Comparison to Harmony 890
To compare this remote to the Harmony 890 is fairly straightforward. The only item that is not well-known is that there are two versions of the Harmony, the 890 and the 890 Pro. The former is the version that is most commonly purchased. The "Pro" version is exactly the same as the 890, but it has better support for the Z-Wave protocol used by many light controllers. As a result, it has slightly better features for controlling outlets and light switches. For controlling regular entertainment devices (TVs, DVD players, etc) they are identical.
The Monster remote is based on the Harmony 890 Pro, so it has better support of the Z-Wave protocol. If that is something you care about, it is worth noting. The rest of the differences are primarily cosmetic. The Monster remote is a bit heavier, with more of it's weight above it's centerline, it is also a bit wider, owing to its rectangular, rather than peanut, shape. As a result, for those with smaller hands, it may not be quite as comfortable to use. The button arrangement is very similar, but there are slight differences.
The Monster remote is centered on a joystick which has the same functions as the "D-pad" style on the Harmony 890. However, surrounding the joystick are the Pause, Play, Fast Forward, Rewind, Stop and Record buttons. On the Harmony, the D-Pad is surrounded by the volume and channel controls as well as Page Up/Down. For those who make significant use of the former set of buttons, this setup is much more convenient. For those who don't use those buttons as often, they are still available on the Harmony, but are located two rows down from the center (under buttons such as Guide, Info, Menu and Exit).
Finally, the software for customizing the Harmony 890 is faster, more responsive and easier to follow than the software for the Monster. That said, it has exactly the same functionality and, in fact, uses the same web site to retrieve and store data.
Cheaply built, EXPENSIVE, poor customizing abililty, poor interface.......2007-11-15
Pros:
Lighting control
Cons:
Flimsy. Internet connection required to program. poor interface for programming control
Full user opinion
I bought this remote (at a premium) thinking it would be the best universal remote available, and inexpensive compared with RTI, Crestron, or Universal Remote. That couldn't have been farther from the truth.
First of all, the remote is not built well. The buttons are the flimsy, "raised" hard plastic type, not the firm plasticized or rubberized type, and the center "joystick" control protrudes much to tall--enough to where you could accidentally snap it off. The remote's plastic creaks when you press certain buttons. Not what I'd expect for $350!
If you are an A/V enthusiast, and you want complete control of your multiple components, consider a remote by Universal Remote Controls (URC), or if you have the money, Remote Technologies Inc (RTI), but not this. Although you have a cute color screen, the appearance of the "soft buttons" cannot be customized. You can simply change the text in them, that's all.
You MUST have an internet connection to program your remote because the software (and your configuration) resides completely on their website. If their site is "experiencing difficulities" (which I've had occasionally) or your connection is down, you can't program the remote.
The "programming" of the remote is very rigid. You cannot assign whatever you'd like to the soft buttons, nor macros, nor delays. The programming website asks you a series of questions about your components and it pretty much sets up the remote how it believes you need it based on what components you have and what are called "activities". "Activities" seem to be the dumbed down way of programming many of these remotes (such as those by Logitech & Harmony) where you answer a few questions about which A/V imputs are used by your components (to watch TV for example), and it figures out all the component switching and assigns it all to a button titled "Watch TV". This is great for grandpa and grandma who have no idea of how to work remotes, but when you want to control other components briefly, then return to "Watch TV" it becomes problematic.
The lighting control is a nice touch, but the in-wall dimmer I replaced in my master bedroom RARELY receives its commands from the remote, and it's not more than 40 feet, through a few walls (which they claim RF is supposed to allow for up to 120 feet).
This remote simply isn't worth the money or aggravation. If you are an A/V enthusiast, consider RTI, URC, Pronto, or if you have the money, Crestron.
Monster AVL300 is the way to go.......2007-11-10
I looked high and low at reviews of dozens of remotes. I previously used a Logitech Harmony 688 remote that was good, but didn't give me the flexibility I wanted. Also, I needed RF capabilities for my home theater. The Monster AVL300 has exceeded my expectations once I got it setup. I would buy another if I needed it.
Pros:
-RF works great and has made a huge difference in reliable control of my components
-I like having hard buttons to press, instead of touch screen. Easy to find your way around the remote without looking at it.
-Nice to have a charging cradle, and it lights up when you pick it up...no need to touch a button, like some other remotes
-Supports Z-Wave lighting, although I haven't tackled that yet
-Comfortable feel, easy for the whole family to use
-You can setup Favorite Channels with icons of the channel. The only issue is that it's not well documented where to go setup the favorites. I just had to hunt around to find the option to assign the channel and a small graphic (You can download graphics for many channels out on the Monster website)
Cons:
The documentation is too simple, and doesn't go into detail. It gives you the first layer needed to setup the remote, but not a lot more. Luckily, it's pretty straight forward to set the remote up for use. Key Issue I Found: If you have a Harmony Remote, uninstall the software and delete and folders associated with the HArmony Remote before you install the Monster Central Control software. It looks as though Monster licenses the Harmony software, and it will get confused if the software is associated with a Harmony remote before you setup the Monster remote.
[...]
The one big issue I had was setting up the Omnilink RF-IR bridge that's included. It's easy to setup, but there are options for each component on how the Omnilink talks to the components, which is confusing: The options are All Ports, IR Blaster, Port A, Port B, Port C and Port D. I assigned each component to the appropriate port, as it seemed the best thing to do. There is no documentation for this feature that tells you anything but that you can assign a port. I got it working and didn't play around with it to exactly figure out what all the port assignments do.
Issues with software but customer service was excellent.......2007-10-21
Previously I used a Harmony H659 remote. Even though all of my AV equipment is outside of cabinets and generally in the line of site for use of a conventional IR remote such as the H659, I would occasionally get the equpment out of sync with the remote. So I bought the AVL300 more for the RF capability.
Monster apparently licenses Logitech's software so I expected setup to be simialr to the Harmony. However, I spent several frustrating hours last weekend and could not get the remote to work properly. No help from "help" on the software or Monster's web site. On monday called Monster. There tech support was excellent. I was only on hold 2-3 minutes before getting someone. Since the software is web-based and all remote settings are stored on their server, he was able to see exactly what I
was doing. Turns out, the Monster software was conflicting with the Harmony software that was still on my PC. Once I deleted that (and turned off my firewall and ant-virus) everything worked perfectly. I was able program the remote easily.
My major complaint is the lack of good online help. I would have had a less frustrating weekend if Monster had simply stated somewhere in their help or FAQ that you need to do these things. The tech support guy knew immediately what the problem was so it can't be that rare. In addition, there is very little little documentation for the software so you basically have to play with it for a while in order to figure out how to work all the features. But the good side of this is that the software is very intuitive and helpful.
I especially like the ability to program macros (which wasn't available on the H659). For instance, I have a macro soft key that goes through a series of steps to turn closed captioning on and off (normally requires 5 steps on my cable box). I am going to program in soft keys for my favorite channels. Next step is to get some light controllers.
In summary this is one cool remote. Some frustration initially but Monster's telephone support was excellent. I chose it over the Harmony 890 because I liked the styling and button size and layout better and over the Harmony 1000 because I prefer to have more hard keys and the conventional look and feel.
Pretty good product, I need to get into it more........2007-10-11
This product worked pretty well, it downloaded the appropriate info for my components, and the settings for the various activities worked pretty well. The only thing is, you really want to use this thing exactly the way the software wants to be used. If you want to customize the commands you have to go through this wizard deal and it is not all that intuitive.

Attaches to belt loop. Canvas bag helps you keep up with your "treasures". Trowel included to help you dig for the big "bounty". REF-ID: EB01-2011743
Amazon.com Review
Hunting for precious metals has always required more than a map. During the California Gold Rush, prospectors came equipped with blasting powder to tunnel through rock, picks and shovels for digging out rock matter, gold pans for sorting through the debris, and rail cars to transport the goods away. While, in today's environment, a treasure hunter employs a metal detector rather than a map, one still needs tools to uncover finds and tote them away. Bounty Hunter recognized that need and developed this pouch and trowel combo kit. For digging up bounty, the kit provides a 9-inch stainless-steel trowel. The user can monitor digging depth with the engraved gauge on the trowel surface. The plastic handle provides ergonomic gripping. When idle, the trowel tucks into a side pocket of the treasure pouch for neat storage. The pouch features durable nylon construction with two outer pockets for stowing the trowel and a water bottle. There also are two interior pockets for bounty or for accumulated litter. The user wears the pouch around the waist and can adjust the 2-inch wide web belt through the sturdy buckle for comfort. The USA-made kit measures 8 by 8 by 3 inches upon shipping and weighs 7.4 ounces. --Jessica Reuling

Bounter Hunter Pouch & Trowl Kit.......2007-05-13
I wish the pouch was deeper- with a snap top/zipper-- because when you place your tools in it- they stay until you bend down to begin digging- then they tend to fall out.

The product arrived in short order and was exactly as represented. No problems at all. I would trade with this vendor again.
Works Great- great price.......2007-10-21
I put off buying this, as I was unsure of the reception I'd get, as I travel on mountain roads with large overhanging trees. Reception, though, is fine- but remember to use both antennas, the magnetic one, which goes on the roof of the vehicle, coupled (with the connector supplied)to the exterior car-radio antenna (that came with the vehicle). Easy to use controls. If you don't set up the account via the internet, try to get a live person if you do it over the telephone- the automated voice recognictions software had its gliches.
Overall- very pleased!
Buy something else!!!.......2007-09-13
I bought on of these less than six months ago. The product was great while it worked. Easy install that anyone can do. The problem is that the display screen just stopped working. I expected get more than 6 months use out of this product. It's really too bad because I loved the idea of not doing a hard install and spending a ton of money. I would not recommend buying an Audiovox product ever again.
Great product.......2007-03-20
I love my xm radio. I think this vendor was waiting at the mailbox to send this to me. I couldnt believe have fast it got her. I have one of these for myself and perchased a diffrent kind for my husband. It was crazy how you had to hook it up. But this one was easy like mine and the connection is great. Thanks

Hides LCD/plasma TV cables on wall 8 7/8" in length
Customer Reviews:
Basically Useless.......2007-10-12
This product was useless. Once the backplate was attached to the wall and the cables put into place, the plastic cover would not stay in place. The plastic cover was poorly designed and would not fasten securely to the backplate and would pop-off after a few minutes.
After talking to their technical support department, it was explained that this product was not intended to "manage" more than one or two cables. Seemed like a lot of to do for something that did not work satisfactorily at all. They suggested that I return the product and get the CMK product instead.
