I'm not sure about some of the other reviews with complaints about this antenna.But mine works flawlessly. My house is 27 miles from the majority of the tv station antennas which are south of Dallas.I mounted it to my chimney facing southeast toward the towers,ran the wire into my house,took 45 min to complete the install.Every single station is received along with all the HD sub channels.Picture is awesome.Actually I think I prefer the over the air picture to my Fios HD picture. Anyway, its a good deal and can pull in all the channels with great clarity.BUY ONE!!!

Don't buy.If you do, don't put it outside.I can't get diddly squat out of it and don't live that far from a transmitting tower.You get a poor pitiful 'power booster",a box of screws and an antenna that is definitely not made for the outdoors. For the price you don't even get a cable to connect to your t.v. Not even a three foot cable. What a rip off. Rabbit ears are better and aren't always falling over.Believe me , I've struggled with it over two months now and have decided it's garbage.Maybe you'll have better luck.

I purchased it for nearly $50 less than other stores. The bolts are stainless steel which is important to us whom live on the coast, where it rusts. The digital quality matches cable/dish and depending on the weather, has picked up DTV stations 150 miles away.

Does not support Dual LNB dishes as described.......2007-12-07
This only supports triple-LNB Directv dishes. I have a dual and triple LNB dish for my Directv and I wanted to put this on my dual LNB dish. However this is too big, it will not fit on the smaller dish. It will only fit on my larger triple LNB dish (which doesn't work for me). I did just do a quick test on it though to see how it picked up the reception and it worked pretty well. Got all my locals in with no major problem and even got a station from about 60-70 miles away that is not in my local area. So if you are putting this on a triple LNB system go for it. if you are trying to put this on a dual LNB (like the description says), then you need to look for a different one.

This product works great in our rural area. Allows us to get in our local networks crystal clear, which is great since our satellite company does not carry them. Also brings in 5-6 other channels fairly well that we would not get otherwise.
A waste of time and money.......2007-10-11
I live on the ground floor of a four-floor condo building, so naturally I thought this antenna would give me better reception than a powered antenna in my living room. Wrong! First, the patch cables they send you with the product are too short to install on a 3 LNB DirecTV dish, so I had to make a trip to Radio Shack (the 4 foot cable is just right). Second, the coaxial connectors on the antenna show their poor craftsmanship (Made in China) since the threads are not flattened on two sides, making in near impossible to screw on all of the connections in such small quarters without stripping the threads. But all of that would have been worth it if the product actually worked. It doesn't. At all. Really, I went from receiving approximately 50% of the HD signals in my area to receiving just one. I returned my Terk TV-5 for this product and what a mistake! This product is not worth the time or the money. Buy something else.
The antenna is NOT compatible with all mini-dish systems.......2007-05-29
The Terk 44 does not work with Dish 1000 satellite dishes. After installing, I found out the hard way that this dish does not work with my ATT Dish Network HD DVR system. The description states that "The antenna is compatible with all mini-dish systems". This is NOT true. This might work for your system, but check to see if your dish is a Dish 1000 first.
DOES NOT WORK WITH DISH1000.......2007-05-12
This does not work with dishnetwork 1000 with the 3 LNBS, Audiovox Tech service was a joke took 30 min to get through.then get put on hold for another 30 min. First 2 guys i talked to said oh sure it will work with any system. call Dish they will help u. Call dish "we dont have a clue what u are talking about" a week later still tryin to get it work. call audiovox back. guy tells me it is incompatable with dish 1000. Amazon was great and let me return it. 5 stars for amazon 1 star for audiovox(terk) only because u cant give it 0 stars.

Works very well, even 70 miles from NYC.......2007-12-26
We bought this as we had recently purchases a flat panel TV that can get HD channels. We live about 70 miles north of Manhattan, although about 1000 feet up on a hill. With this little antenna, both HD and conventional channels come in quite well, a vast improvement over our earlier rabbit ears. We now have it hooked up to a conventional TV and it gets better reception than it ever did before (for some reason Channel 21 on Long Island comes in in digital quality!).

The terk HDTVa might work for some people, but it did not work for me. Before you buy it try using a cheap uhf/vhf antenna. You might find one at the 99 cent store. I tried out a cheap antenna that I had laying around in my garage and it worked so much better.

Seems to be working so far; have it in one position and most of the local HD signals come thru. Don't have HD programming through my satellite service, and have to say the local HD from the antenna is a superior picture on my HD LCD TV. I have 2 antenna connections on the back of my TV, one for over the air, one for satellite box, so I can switch easily back and forth. Don't have anything to compare as this is the only HD antenna I have used, but the picture is very clean when the signal comes thru.

This popular antenna works for my HDTV. I can get more stations than other powered antenna. The base is small, tilt easily if pushed. Bigger foot print would be better.

Poor design for the coax connector - on the side, waste of cable, and a little trouble for routing of the cabling.
Amplification is good, would like to see more for larger home - needs more amplification for far rooms. This on does not have enough amplification to pick up channels for my master bedroom upstairs.
Easy to install, easy to set up (line of sight).
Overall, good product for the money.

1. do not know why not have any difference to my old non-amplified antenna
2. the size is too big. I remember several years ago, the size was just 1/4 of this product.
3. currently I just put in my garage and I don't think I will use it.
4. If possible, please let me know how I can retrun it easily.

The antenna amplifier work great even in indoor where I am using it right now at downtown San Francisco. I live in a 6 storey building and I am on
the fourth floor surrounded by tall building around and was able to pull

Rabbit Ears Work Better.......2007-05-14
The reception on a small TV in the kitchen with rabbit ears was rather poor so I bought this amplified antenna and mounted it near the ceiling behind plastic blinds pointing (broadside) toward the transmitters ~ 25 miles away. The reception was terrible (next to non-existent). I'm still using rabbit ears. A Winegard Sensar III GS-2200 in the attic of my ranch style house works great through a splitter to two other TVs.
