I love this TV - it is better than I expected. Delivery was so prompt and the delivery company was awesome. Much like the other prudent shoppers who have purchased this HDTV, I spent over two months researching and looking at TV's in the stores. It is very hard to compare units in the stores because the demo material they show tends to show only the positive aspects of most sets and they are turned up as bright as possible. I had previously purchased and returned a Toshiba 47HL167 because the picture had a slight green tendency that could not be adjusted out. This green tendency was not noticeable in any of the showrooms for the reasons I just explained.

I purchased the Samsung from Amazon and it was delivered only 8 days later. The white glove delivery was NOT exactly as advertised. Eagle USA (bought out by another company) did not make their 10-2pm delivery window and showed up about 3:30pm. I had to waste most of the day waiting! The delivery person was nice enough and did call about 1:50pm to let me know he was running late due to heavy traffic, but still.... He delivered the TV into my house (with my help, only a single person delivery team) then asked me to sign without unpacking and checking the HDTV as the white glove service is supposed to do. I guess I could have insisted, but I did not notice any damage to the box and he said I should note near my signature that the TV was not inspected. That way, if there were any problems discovered when unboxed, I could still have the delivery company come back and take it back. I agreed and he left to deliver his last two LATE HDTVs for the day.

The Samsung LNT4661 is everything I expected and you have read about in this and other reviews. The colors are very accurate and pleasing. A first rate picture right out of the box. I am able to display 1920x1080 @60Hz from my computer VGA out on the Sammy and the picture is incredible! This is something that not many other HDTVs with computer inputs can do. The picture of broadcast HD material is terrific as is DVD movies shown through the Component inputs. The upconversion capability of the Samsung is pretty good. I compared the picture with an OPPO DV-980H through the HDMI at 1080P. The oppo is widely regarded as one of the best DVD upconversion players on the market. The OPPO was very slightly better, but the difference was so small that I returned the OPPO saving my $182.

If I have any complaints or nitpicks, this would be it:
1. The way of doing channel adds or erases is a bit labor intensive when compared to so other methods. To delete channels, you must go through one by one.
2. Same for designating Favorite Channels, you must add them one at a time rather than providing a list method that some other manufacturers provide (Toshiba).
3. The picture in picture feature somewhat limited in flexibility. You can only have one of your main video inputs (COMP1, COMP2, HDMI1...) as the main picture and ATSC tuner image as the sub picture.

As I said, I am nitpicking. This is the lowest price 1080p 46" HDTV that Samsung makes and it has many other features that other brands don't (USB port, JPEG viewer, etc) and still one of the most accurate color pictures on the market equal to Sony models much more expensive. If I had to do it all over again, I would purchase this set again in a heatbeat and especially now that everyone is dropping the price down to the $1300 level. You won't be sorry if you choose this HDTV!

Great Buy!.......2007-12-25

After much research, my family purchased this TV as a gift to the house and we couldn't be happier with the purchase. The picture is good (blacks and colors look good), there are ample inputs for hooking up components, viewing from various angles is good (TV stand even swivels!) and it sounds amazing through my home theater system. Watching DVDs is like being at the movie theater. Some older DVDs look a bit grainy but I think that has more to do with my old progressive scan DVD player or the DVD transfer itself since the newer DVDs all appear fine. This may be resolved with a HDMI hookup (my DVD player doesn't have it) or an upconverting player, but I'm not too sold on that technology as I've read some poor reviews of even the leading upconverting players.

Note: Since Best Buy couldn't deliver the item before Dec. 31, we decided to purchase the TV from Amazon and were happy we did. Amazon's price was nearly $200 cheaper with free shipping AND they did an amazing job getting it delivered to us a week before Christmas via their equally impressive delivery service. Thanks Amazon!!!

The Samsung LNT4661F 46" 1080p LCD HDTV was our first HDTV. Prior to that we watched a 27" analog set and the difference is amazing when viewing in HD. Analog programing on this TV is grainy because of the size of the screen. I like the fact that this set has 3 HDMI ports, makes hook-ups really easy. When we registered the television on line with Samsung USA we received an additional three months of warranty.
We purchased this TV through AMAZON and the free white glove delivery service was great as they unboxed the TV and set it up to insure it worked. Our first one did not (if it had this review would be a five star.) We called Amazon Customer Service while the delivery people were still on site and Customer Service advised us that we could refuse shipment and they would either refund our money or send us another Samsung. We chose to recieve another unit, so the delivery service reboxed the original set and returned it. all at no additional cost. Within a week we had another set delivered and set up. This one works great! We are satisfied with the TV, and the service we recieved.

Bought two of these for 46" LCDs. Heavy Duty and very secure once mounted. Two considerations. Plug in all connections to tv before hanging on bracket. Need small hands to adjust manual thumbscrews for tilting.Looks great on the wall.

Easy Install, yet Disappointing Tilt.......2007-12-27

I bought this wall mount for my Sony Bravia 46" LCD, which I also purchased at Amazon. It was an easy install using the enclosed hardware and following the directions. Didn't take long before it was up.

The description stated tilting wall mount, so I bought it instead of the regular one, which was a little cheaper. I guess I should have read the description more thoroughly. It only tilts downward at a very slight angle, but more upwward. I would assume that most people tilt downward, as they probably hang them above fireplaces, etc. Therefore, I was hoping (assumed) to have a bit more tilt.

I'm not dissatisfied whatsoever with the product. But I could have paid less with the same result. Overall it was a good purchase.

The mount worked very well. It was easy to install and had great instructions which covered every possible configuration.

Compared to the overly expensive models at the retail stores in my area this price could not be beat.

Great Bracket for your Flat Panel.......2007-12-25

I installed this bracket in about 2 hrs. with my dad's help. I put a 32" Sharp Aquos on it. It was really easy to get on the wall and then place the LCD panel on it. The only thing I regret is that it doesn't allow me to get to the back of my unit without having to uninstall it. Luckily all my component and HDMI slots were used up, so now when I get a new item, I just replace it with whatever I'm discarding.

Good Mount.......2007-12-25

I bought this to go with my Toshiba 47HL167 LCD TV. It hooks up easily, comes with an amazing number of bolts so it can hook up to any TV; but they are separated in nice little pouches so finding what you need is easy. It attaches to a stud wall with 4 screws and installation is quick.

This is the only mount I've used, but I can't see what a $150 mount would offer you. So long as it doesn't crash off the wall - that's really all you need. It also pivots but I set mine vertical.

The hardest part was deciding where to mount it. I used blue painters tape to layout a 'TV' on the wall and looked at it from lots of angles, chairs, sofas, etc. My first inclination was to go too high, I found that was uncomfortable on the neck. Final TV center height is 50". This is comfortable to look at from a chair, but also high enough to view while laying on a couch (and looking above your feet). But your room and furniture will be different - so try the "tape" TV for 30 minutes of so.

Great TV with Crappy Remote.......2007-12-26

I bought this TV on the Thanksgiving day sale in 2007 from Amazon. It arrived on time (although I had to call them first to schedule...learnt from reading previous reviews)...i have been using this TV since 12/3/07...the picture quality is amazing, blacks are the best, sound is not bad ... I am thinking of a home theater system so it won't be a problem...however the remote sucks...i am an engineer and ergonomically this is a very poorly designed remote....for example the numbers (for channel) are on the top and to click OK, you have to move down...cannot do it in one grip...not enough lighted buttons...very hard to see at night in dark (where you usually watch the TV)...

Most people do not consider a television an investment, but I do - the TV is an investment in improving the quality of my leisure time.

This Samsung TV is an excellent product but it took a number of hours to get everything configured the way I wanted. I purchased a Samsung home theater system to improve the sound and it was worth it! The TV and the home theater complement each other particularly when playing video games.

A few caveats - I played the XBOX 360 for several days before I remembered to set the resolution to the highest available on the XBOX. What a difference! If you don't feed the TV high definition/resolution signals using component or HDMI cables, you'll be missing out and wonder what all the fuss is about.

If you take the time to set up all your components this TV produces a wonderful crisp image. It has all the connectors you will probably ever need.

Great TV from a great merchant........2007-12-26

I couldn't be more satisfied with the TV or the way my order was handled. The order went through late on the Friday afternoon after Thanksgiving. Eagle called to arrange a delivery just after noon on the following Tuesday. The delivery men brought the TV into my home, unpacked it, put it on the cart, and verified that it worked. I could not have had a better experience in buying this TV. It is awesome. The thing is only 4" thick and weighs about 60 pounds. The picture is so bright that I use it with the power saver option activated to dim the screen a little. I am using the HDMI input from my cable box and I have my PC connected to it. I give Amazon an A+++.

Great Quality Picture.......2007-12-25

I purchased this for the entertainment room, and it is awesome. The picture is great, and I have a computer with blue ray / hddvd hooked up to it via hdmi, and a philips soundbar, and all the components work great together.

The picture quality is amazing, with the 15,000 to 1 contrast ratio. I am enjoying the television so far, and would highly recommend it.

I received this tv faster than the original estimated delivery date! The TV itself is awesome and I do not regret at all going with this model. The picture quality is beyond amazing and my games look great! It makes me now want an HD/Blue ray player!! I also loved the quick response I received from customer service regarding a "30 day price guarantee" They refunded my account the next day! They actually found a better discounted price than I was aware of and advised me they would refund me the difference! This act made me want to be a customer for a long time to come!! I was intially worried about purchasing a big ticket item like this online (was worried about the tv being damaged en route), but the delivery went smooth. TV came in excellent condition and the guys tested my TV before they left. VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER and INCREDIBLE TV!!!!!

This slim, sleek, television takes up less space than my old one and yet has a bigger screen. It is a gorgeous product. Fantastic picture so you can sit on the sofa and enjoy. Clear, crisp colors. Good sound. Easy to hook up right out of the box. I would recommended this television to anyone.

Samsung LN-T3253.......2007-12-19

This television is 720p but it does an exceptional job when combined with a Samsung AR600 dvd player. Regular DVD's are very pleasing to view using this combination. However, the upscaling is very good even when playing just plain analog signals. I am especially pleased with the 8000:1 dynamic contrast which results in nice blacks for an LCD tv. I honestly do not believe that there is a better 32 inch LCD television currently on the market. I purchased this television from Warehouse_Deals for $612 + $26 shipping. Though the delivery date was due after Thanksgiving, Eagle shipping routed it thru another trucking company at my request so I could get it before Thanksgiving. Exceptional customer oriented service and many kudos to them!

Samsung 32" LCD TV Model #LNT3253H.......2007-12-18

Just got this TV last week. Overall the experience with Amazon and their shipping company was great. TV was delivered inside the house and unpackaged. From order to arrival, it was only 3 business days!

The TV is well constructed as you would expect from Samsung. The sound is great, the picture even greater. Why buy anything else than a Samsung! I have 2 of them now, the other a DLP.

If you're considering a smallish LCD for a bedroom (like me), and thought about going the cheap route with D.R., Vizio, Olevia, etc., don't. When you compare the features and picture and sound quality of these brands to the Samsung, it's worth the extra $200-$250 to get top quality.

Setup was a breeze. Nice side panel "touch" controls and a good remote. Tons of connections in the back. Very light weight. The stand is nice looking and functional, if maybe a bit loose, but once screwed in, no issues.

Feature-wise it allows you to control about everything to customize the picture to your taste. For a bedroom, an LCD screen is quite bright, but you're able to dim the backlight and the brightness to dim the image down to a more viewable picture that doesn't light up the whole room...without reducing image quality. All the HDTV channels look beautiful, especially sports and HDT. I have it hooked up via Comp Video, since my current cable box doesn't have HDMI. I can't imagine much improvement through going HDMI, other than less cable clutter. SDTV channels, while side-barred, are not bad either. Maybe a bit better than my DLP, but it's close.

Overall, if you're considering an LCD TV with 720p/1080i definition (I see no need to go with 1080p on this screen size, Also-- NO ONE is broadcasting in 1080p and you couldn't tell the difference anyway at this screen size), this is the one to buy. For less than $800, it's a great deal. You will not be disappointed.

Problems right away.......2007-12-17

Within a few hours we got a loud pitched sound coming from the TV. Later on the audio and video when in HD kept on freezing. We are getting a new one but I am not sure that this is going towork. Amazon told us that we would get our money back if this new one does not work.

Still waiting for delivery. Did not deliver as told at the time of ordering. If you want to get your TV in any reasonable amount of time go to Wal-Mart or Best Buy. I knew better than order a big-ticket item on Amazon. Just stick with ordering books here. TV is still sitting in Atlanta and has been there for several days.

Toshiba's Regza line of TVs marry state-of-the-art technology to hip design. One feature that sets them apart is PixelPure 14-bit digital video processing, which creates more than 4,000 levels of color gradations for a smooth, natural-looking picture without posterization or image banding. Another benefit is a fast response time. Response time is the interval an LCD screen takes to from its darkest color to its lightest color and back again, measured in milliseconds (ms). This screen's response time is 8 ms, which is at the faster and better end of the spectrum. This screen is likely to display cleaner, sharper images during high-action scenes and with fewer image artifacts than other screens in its class. This technology is housed in a black gloss cabinetry that is sure to fit well with most any decor.

The 32HL67 has a panel resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. This qualifies it as 720 progressive-line HDTV, which is a noticeably better picture than standard definition sets, but not as detailed as the 1080 HD sets available. Its 16:9 wide screen aspect ratio delivers most movies the way they were meant to be seen in the theater, without back bars wasting the top and bottom of the screen.

The Value of LCD TVs
Aside from their obvious aesthetic value, LCD TVs are much more practical in the home than CRT (tube-style) televisions. They take up a smaller footprint, and thus use up less floor space in the room. Also, LCD TVs are lighter and easier to move around when cleaning or redecorating. Audio
The unit's SoundStrip speaker system hides the unit's speakers in a thin strip bordering the screen. They're powerful enough to deliver big stereo sound, but they don't add significantly to the size of the set. Toshiba's StableSound feature maintains television volume within a preset range regardless of the source signal. This is an extremely useful feature when transitioning between a quiet television program and a very loud commercial advertisement or when changing channels. SRS WOW, a combination of SRS 3D, TruBass, and Focus sound-expanding systems, create a 3-D sound field with improved bass response over standard TV audio and create directed, three-dimensional audio sweet spot for maximum enjoyment. The TV also has optical digital output for connecting to your audio system.

32-inch wide screen
A general rule of thumb for selecting the right size television screen is that the screen width--not its 32-inch diagonal measurement--should be between three and five times the optimum viewing distance, such as the distance from the TV screen to where your eyes are while sitting on the couch. Less than that and you may be distracted by the scan lines of the picture. More than that, and you may lose the detail of your TV. Based on this guide, the 32HL67 is ideal for viewing distances of seven to 12 feet.

Awesome TV!.......2007-12-26

I got this TV around Thanksgiving 2007 for a really^2 good deal.
I'm very satisfied w/ the product; extremely good picture quality, no dead pixels. I also like grand look of this TV - piano black panel, SRS sounds real, up-converted DVD looks stunning, plenty of custom settings available, though default settings produce great picture quality, Stable Sound works well for cable TV, but I turn it off if I'm gonna watch a DVD.
I purchased this based on the technical specifications, Amazon customer reviews and Consumer Report - this TV is one of the 2007 best LCD. I tried to look at the TV at local retailers, but among all LCDs turned on, this TV was turned off ??? I ordered it anyway. Then, b4 the TV arrived, I got the chance to see the TV side by side with Sony. I don't see the difference. Since the panel is piano-black, I can see if the TV produces "real" black or not. Yes, the TV is capable of displaying black quite well. Night scenes are great. Watching 300 (Spartans) on this TV is GREAT!!!
This TV has 14-bit digital video processor, and I believe, it outputs 10 bits. What it means is you get more levels/combinations of colors. For example, you will see the orange as orange, not red or yellow. Contrast Ratio? It's got enough to see those night scenes in 300 movie clearly. Blacks are real blacks, not grayish black.
Sound - simply great! those virtual surround sound actually works, of course if you sit in front of the TV. 3D sound effects are also great.
Size- yes, this TV is a bit bulkier than its competitors. But it's more loaded, technically.
Resolution - 720p is enough for a 32" LCD TV because you will not see the difference between 1080p and 720p on a 32" TV from a 6-9 feet distance. But if you gonna go for more than 37", consider 1080p.
I compared technical specifications of different TVs in this price range and size. To me, this Toshiba TV seems to be more technically sophisticated. Compared to XBR4, they both have similar video processing power but XBR4 offer 120Hz which is good for sport-fan. Unless you are willing to pay twice, you might wanna get the REGZA.
Overall, this TV is of very high value. You get more the bucks.

Horrible Shipping!.......2007-12-26

I ordered my tv on December 12 and was supposed to receive it on December 20. Needless to say, the tv never came. I called Eagle time and time again and they have given me nothing but the run around and not once have they returned any of my calls. The tv was supposed to be a Christmas present but thanks to Eagle that never happened. I will be calling Amazon to get another tv or a refund tomorrow. And this will be the third time that I have called them.

Fantastic TV. Only complaint is that there is only one coaxial input instead of two. Other than that, everything about it is just fine. 3 HDMI inputs are very handy and the picture quality is better than anything else in it's category.

NOW, I love it!!.......2007-12-22

At first I had doubts about this set because the picture seemed washed out and just unacceptable. I decided to wait until I got my new DVR with expanded HD capabilities before I returned it. The installer from the satellite provider explained that my connections were incorrect and set it up correctly. Now, WOW, the picture is incredible in HD and even SD channels look great. This will handle 1080i input even though it was rated at 720p if you use HDMI cable connect. Toshiba makes a great product, this one looks as good as my 52" that cost three times as much! It will take you a while to "tweak" it correctly, but you will be satisfied once you get it right.

Great tv but not the best.......2007-12-22

This tv is worth the price and is a good tv. It does have a decent picture with basic cable and looks great for a 720p with HD content. It also does pick up a good bit of extra channels such as digital channels and movie channels that you can't get on a normal tv. Its not the best tv but for its price its really great.

Needed a small tv for our bedroom that didn't take up much room. This Samsung looks nice, has a good picture and nice set of features. Especially like being able to use it as our alarm clock, wake up to local news and weather during the week.

Almost perfect.......2007-11-28

I've had this set for about 2 months now and I've been very happy with it. It gives a good, sharp picture from digital cable and off-air HDTV broadcasts. I like the multiple screen formats available - standard 4:3, 16:9, and widescreen. You can default non-HD channels to stretch to fill the screen, and in most cases it doesn't look at all distorted.

However, I do have one gripe, and it could have affected my decision to buy this particular set had I known about it beforehand. The picture-in-picture feature only works if one of the pictures comes from the PC input. And the other picture must be an analog signal. This means if you don't use the set as an external monitor for your computer, then you have no PIP. If you do use it as a monitor, your other picture must be analog cable or from an antenna - nothing digital.

It's a shame that a set with so many input possibilities (cable, antenna, component, HDMI, PC, s-video) can't have a true PIP that can swap between any two of them.

With using only a roof top antenna, I get excellent reception of HDTV. I am very pleased with the picture and quality of this 19" Samsung TV.

I own a repair shop and I have been repairing TV for years. This TV is great only for it's compact format. On the other hand, the image is just awful. White will shear and bleed at a higher contrast ratio. The high and low lights are also wrong (blue high/low lights). The sound is not great but good for the size of the speakers. Obviously, when there is movement the focus goes way off (common in all LCD, Plasma and DLP) and the image looks even more awful. You can also see the smear(lag,trail) when there is fast movement ( caused by slow LCD response time in the miliseconds). In the end, I have seen 1986 RCA 14" TV's who had a better image quality. Mitsubishi 37" TV 1992 beats this TV by about 10 times and has a response time in the nanoseconds. End of line, this LCD TV has a very poor image quality. I give it 1 star since the menus and remote are very easy to use and the TV has a very compact design.

good when it works.......2007-11-03

The first one I received had sound but no picture. Amazon is sort of picky on defective electronics so I had to sit on hold with Samsungs tech support for a half hour or so so they could tell me it was defective and give me a case # so I could get a new one through Amazon. The 2nd tv works fine. I do see some of the light leakage other reviews mention and the viewing angles arent too great but it looks good for what I use it for. I guess its got better features than the cheaper ones and the faults arent too bad for me so Im happy with it.

Great TV, full of features.......2007-12-27

I've had the TV for a month now and it's been great. I bought it directly from Amazon, and their delivery service (Eagle) was a breeze to deal with (Chicago). It was easy to set up right out of the box. There's plenty of connections for the few inputs I have connected.

With a few references to the user manual, the TV is extremely easy to operate and understand all the features. After scanning all channels you can delete them, make them favs, etc. You can set different picture qualities and sound settings based on the input source. It's truly a great TV and lives up to all the good reviews.

I looked at and researched many LCD TV's at this size and by far this Samsung offers the most for your money. The picture quality is amazing in HD! SD is good but its hard to watch after seeing the NFL in HD! Viewing your digital photos on the TV is very cool as well. I would highly recommend this TV.

I was hesitant to switch from a sony to a samsung. I should have done it last year. The samsung is by far the clearest and most exciting HDTV I have ever seen. I do not have one negative comment at ALL! Those who say the analog channel is inferior are simply confirming that the digital is soooo good, when the anolog is on there is no way not to be dissapointed...buy this TV not the 4061, worth the extra $100 for the real glass non reflective screen, sound is excellent for a stand alone system A++++++++++++
