Strong HDMI Cable at a Reasonable Price.......2007-12-12
I have the PS3, and I need a HDMI cable for that 1080p experience. I bought this for the simple reason that it was at a decent price, unlike those other expensive cables or those cheap cables at like $5. I went with something in between those prices. It felt very durable and lasting. The coating of the wire I think is very good and sturdy/strong. The cable would have been a 5/5 from me if there weren't some problems.
The first problem. I plug in the cable, I on the PS3, and when the PS3 is communicating with the HDMI cable, you hear a popping noise and a static screen. this happens if i start a game or a bluray. NOW, THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN DURING GAMEPLAY OR WHILE WATCHING THE MOVIE. It only happens when you turn it on. The problem went away after like two weeks, it could be because the PS3 need to get used to it maybe the HDTV that I'm using.
The second problem. There are many version of HDMI cables. The description of the cable given here specify what version it is. I think the latest version is 1.3, which offers some capabilities that I dont' know. Now, this cable works fine and give me a great picture, but not knowing if this cable is the latest version that will stand the test of time is bad. I tried searching online, but no help, maybe somebody here has better luck than me.
Other than that, worth the money. Really, HONESTLY. It's better than paying for it expensively, and it give me a great 1080p. I wish I knew what version HDMI it is though?

Amazing! This is the first time i have bought an hdmi cable, and seeing any blue ray disc movie, or playing any game without this cable on my 50 inch plasma is a disgrace to having an hd tv. I'll tell you right now, if you have an hd tv then you must buy this, the difference is HUGE! Not to mention the fact that this cable is about one quarter of the price of most of the other hdmi;s. Please do your self a favor and get this cable. Trust me you will not be disappointed....

Although this one is still a little pricey, it is half the cost of a majority of these cables. It is very solid and durable and I've had no problems with it so far. This will output 1080p from your PS3 to your HDTV(if your TV supports it). If that is what you are looking for then you should purchase this. However, you can find cheaper ones if you really look. This one seemed like the best choice to me and I have no regrets!

The cable works as advertised. However you can purchase HDMI cables that perform 100% the same at about 1/20th of the cost. For the length of the cable, look to spend between $3-$5 and no more. Since HDMI is digital there is no degradation of picture/audio quality. It either works or it doesn't. Therefore the expensive monster cable has absolutely NO difference in video/audio quality.
Any HDMI cable from monoprice will work with the PS3.

Buying this cable is just like throwing money in the trash - cheap HDMI cables will do just as well as Monster. Monster needs to make products that actually have some justice to the price they charge. There is a small difference in analog cables and speaker wire performance, BUT THIS IS DIGITAL - THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE IN TRANSMISSION QUALITY with short distance connections! Cat 5 cabling with a HDMI plug at the end will do just as well!!! I have purchased Monster cables in the past, BUT NEVER AGAIN - this is treating consumers like they are complete idiots!!!

Although its regular price is over-priced, I happen to get it @ $45.00 less and with that sale price it is surely worth it!
Everyone I talk to and work with (Circuit City/Best Buy) say its the only way to get the most outta the Sony Playstation because it is designed and made with the next-gen console in mind. The picture is crisp and the sound is amazing in 5.1Surround Sound. Only get this is if: 1) You own a Sony Playstation 3 and 2) If you get it at a great sale price cause the regular price is too much.

I have a TV with only one HDMI input... what a drag to have to switch cables when you want to do Hi-DEF gaming and Blu-Ray with the awesome ps3 on your HDTV that already has the cable hooked to it.
In comes the neat little JoyTec HDMI Trilink. The thought process is right... it allows you to hook-up three separate HDMI sources to your TV with only one HDMI input. It even has a nice little basic remote and an attachment which allows you leave the unit hidden and still receive signal from the remote. I even setup my universal remote to control the unit.
The problem is that I keep having problems with the signal going through to the TV when I switch between the PS3 and the Cable... or even sometimes when I just turn it on. Sometimes it's no sound and sometimes it's no picture. And to make it worse... no one thing fixes it... sometimes it's as simple as changing the channel on the cable... other times I actually have to restart the little unit. And since I have it hidden with the rest of the cords... I have to move my little entertainment center out to get to the unit. Needless to say... it's a pain when you want to watch something right then... or have company over.
If you're willing to deal with the crap... it's excellent for the price you pay for it since I haven't found anything else more reasonably priced. But, if you can... try to avoid it.

From my cable box, the picture cut in and out, and from my PC, the picture had lots of artifacting. With direct connections, they worked fine. I emailed Joytech support twice in the last three weeks with no response yet.

For whatever reason, this product is found under the "games" section. Hopefully, you were able to find this product easily, as it is probably one of the best HDMI switch solutions out there.
Pros:
*Affordable (most other HDMI switches are well over $75 as of now)
*No signal loss at all
*Easy to set up
*Small
*Comes with small, simplistic remote control
*Comes with RF sensor cable so you can hide unit away if you wish
*Bright LED lights tell you which input you have selected (may be a con to some folks)
Cons:
*Cables are plugged in at front AND rear of unit, making it difficult to place in your entertainment center (if you wish to manually switch it)
*Because of the above statement, you'll probably want to hide it away. This makes the LED light fairly useless since you can't see them. You'll have to use the remote and play a guessing game as to what input you currently have selected.
*Built kind of cheaply. It's thin plastic. Feels like I could snap it in half.
And that's about it. The pros far out weigh the cons, in my opinion.
If the unit were to break for some reason, I would definitely consider buying another. I suggest that anyone considering this unit to just buy it now. Matcatz (a shoddy third party video game accessory maker) just bought out Joytech. Who knows that they'll do to this product or if they'll even make it in the future. Get it while you still can.

It's as it says the right HDMI cable for whom has full HD LCD TV (it works for both Full HD & HD TV) some may say I bought another product and it worked very good... but the question is whether he has a HD TV or FULL HD coz some cables won't give you 1080p who has full HD so it's really weasting money to get really cheep cables when you have full HD TV and not using it full power!!
So I really recommend this item very very very much, it's really feels great when you know where are you putting your money in and it's really Not that expensive, so I do recommend this cable for both who has HD or full HD TV to use the true power for your TV.

Works flawlessly with my Sony PS3. This is the best hdmi cable you can buy!!! It is compatible with all digital equipment. Note: If your HDTV does not support 1080p, then you will not see a difference between using this cable and the component cables. I made the common mistake of ordering a generic HDMI cable on amazon.com made by abacus just to save a few bucks. After I received the cable I could only get 1080i resolution from my PS3 and TV. At the advice from my local Gamestop who advised to get the Sony brand HDMI cable, I ordered one. When it came, I unhooked the generic cord and hooked up the Sony one and BAM!!! 1080p resolution. Don't be fooled by cheap generic cables. Get the name brand Sony. The money spent on this cable is well worth it and alot cheaper than the Monster brand.

This product works better than I expected!I had the same issue as most people, One HDMI input on the back of the TV (Toshiba 57" Projection) and two devices to plug in (Cable Box and DVD player).You will need three HDMI cables to make the connections.I ordered two cables (3ft. each),also from Amazon, at an unbeatable price,(around $2.00 each), and I already had one that was 6ft. I plugged everything into the device and everything worked great. There was no signal loss whatsoever!! I think the picture actually looks better than it did before!! Shipping was great too. With one HDMI input on the TV and 2 HDMI devices (Satellite tv and DVD player) this switch box solved the problem . Unit works great and the HDMI cabel I got in the same shipment was less then $1. No need to buy the overpriced Monster cables. Also-- delivery by the 3rd party vendor was excellent
